I don't like writing long replies, I will simply recommend this tutorial as far as handling.cfg editing goes.

There's a limitation for ID of vehicle that can have a paintjob

(ID >= 400 && ID <= 630)

Just enable a patch for handling.cfg inside of .ini, there's an option 'Apply handling.cfg patch'

then you open handling.cfg, add lines and save.

Set a correct handling name of vehicle in vehicles.ide. Save.

So do I have to change the coresponding lines in your ini file? I mean that one:

 

 

[HANDLING.CFG LIMITS]

#Apply handling.cfg patch = 0

#Number of standard lines = 210

#Number of bike lines = 13

#Number of flying lines = 24

#Number of boat lines = 12

 

It´s a bit tricky. Do I have to icrease Number of standard lines and Number of bike lines if I want to ad a bike?

 

Also so this in the ini file:

 

# IDE : weap section ( 51 )

#Weapon Models = 51

 

So can the number of weapons also be icreased now with your tool?

What is train? It's just a vehicle.

You add it like any other vehicle.

Vehicle limits:

 

'IDE: cars' section

handling.cfg limits

vehicle audio settings

 

Although they may be some hardcoded train IDs in executable file.

What is train? It's just a vehicle.

You add it like any other vehicle.

Vehicle limits:

handling.cfg limits

vehicle audio settings

A bike is also just a vehicle, but it needs also an extra hadling limit to be increased. The hardcoded train IDs in executable file could be the reason for crashes, I read about, haven´t tested it myselef.

3. I wrote a PM to fastman several months ago, where I suggested a collaboration between the two of you (feel free to ask him about). In his reply he was very respectful about your work, but at that time he prefered to work on his own solution (unfortunately).

Hence, I'm one of the few people who not only remembers your work but advertises it.

 

Right now fastman made an achievement and deserves the compliment.

@NTAuthority, even though limit was hacked, there's nothing wrong with making an attempt to do it better.

 

New version is due for release.

 

Paths won't be hacked in the upcoming 1.4 version, but I'm working on it and this limit will get broken soon.

Some advancements in scripts are needed to hack paths.
