I'll give that a try, got a ~4GB .img archive right now.

 

Does it also precent crash reports after quitting the game?

 

Limit is going to be 32 GB IMG archive.

 

Note that IMG archive over 4 GB requires appropriate tool to handle it. IMG Manager by XMan or IMG Console.

There will be no crashes after quitting the game, it's not a buggy limit adjuster.

This version adds new limits and functionality in GTA SA and GTA IV.

 

Full list of changes:

- GTA IV, vehicle audio loader made

- GTA SA, made a good class CIniReader and reading the values of limit looks in source code much better.

- GTA SA, vehicle audio loader integrated into limit adjuster.

Anyone modding GTA IV should try a vehicle audio loader.

Available in today's released version of limit adjuster.

Just edit pc\audio\Config\gtaiv_vehicleAudioSettings.ini

Out of curiosity, do you have any plans for a GTA V limit adjuster?

 

I am not sure about technical map limitations in GTA V, but I know about the boundary limits which stop you from leaving the map.

-The limit where your plane's engine dies.

-The limit where your plane breaks up.

-The limit where the camera stops following the player.

 

One day, I am hoping that I can fly to Liberty City from IV/EFLC, loocated at a somewhat realistic distance from San Andreas. (Not totally realistic as that would take forever.)

There's one problem though: we need to wait until R* stops updating GTA5.exe to make a limit adjuster.

Because a limit adjuster will only work with specific version of GTA5.exe

That isn't going to happen till they are done with GTA Online. They are not going to be done with GTA Online for a while.

 

The fact that Rockstar keeps updating GTA5.exe is actually a good thing when you truly think about it. Why?

-Rockstar claimed that they had plans to add other locations to GTA Online. This ultimately means that there are limits that other GTA's had that this one doesn't have, meaning that there is less needing to be cracked.

-Due to the fact that Rockstar keeps on adding cars, we can logically conclude that the vehicle count may not need to be hacked. Every time they release a DLC, we can still add the new cars to the old patches without a problem. The same thing would apply for weapons. It could also count for the animation count.

-As the game is 64 bit as it is, it is possible that the limits are already far more than on other GTA's. With all of this DLC, GTA V should be child's play compared to past GTA's as Rockstar made it prepared for a long future of DLC's.

 

Here is some followup evidence as to why I think you would have less work to do in GTA V.

-Don't quote me on this, but I believe we can control the water way outside the map boundaries. I haven't tried the no water mod, but it looked like there wasn't any water outside the map too, unlike in past GTA's, you would have the endless water outside the map. However, I believe that the far water may be handled differently. I believe that once, I did a tank launch glitch. It launched me so far outside of the map, and very high up. I noticed that the water outside the map looked odd when up high. The GTA V map had a circle around it where there was water, and there was a circle of water below me. However, this was last gen so it could be different on current. (I highly doubt that last gen players will get new locations like LC.)

-North Yankton's lods around the solid part of the map actually hang out past the damage aircraft boundary.

-I remember NTA saying that the only thing needing to be cracked in terms of outside the normal map, besides the game play restrictions to stop you from going out too far is the path nodes. Although, it is possible that other unneeded stuff may need to be cracked like the radar.

-If there is an object count limit, it can be worked around if we can map far out. In GTA V, we can disable IPL's. Say we didn't have enough room for LC's IPL's and SA's IPL's to be loaded at the same time. We would place LC's IPL's far away from SA's for the sake of realism. Then when we are in LC, we disable SA's IPL's, and when we are in SA, we disable LC's IPL's.

 

So if this is true, on GTA V, you wouldn't have nearly as much to focus on. But you would have to crack the same limits over and over every time Rockstar releases a patch. I just hope that for GTA V, we don't have to wait as long for LC and SA being in one map as we did on GTA SA to have LC, VC, and SA.

Here's a possible problem - 20000 is the number of model IDs in GTA SA.

There are many instructions like this:

 

add     edx, 20000
But there is something like this:

Am I the only one who cannot use level limits because the game freezes when entering new Island ID?

 

It even freezes when simply enabling level limits, without changing anything else.

A couple of years ago, alex who worked on GTA LC made a version adjuster for writing vice city patches, this would allow to patch any gta-vc.exe version without doing much in the actual code itself.

 

You simply check which sections of file matches the one you are working on, and you develop an offset adjuster around that. Instead of directly patching, your patches would now sort of go through this adjuster to patch different versions accordingly.

how to change sounds for newly added planes? I see that in your vehicle audio loader (both .ASI plugin and from this LA) engine sounds are to -1, also in normal vehicle sound banks I cant find plane sounds (I am ONLY talking for big planes like AT400 or Andromada).

Some planes have a special sound, that's why it's -1. Like hydra does.

Unfortunately there's currently no way to assign the special sounds to vehicles.

 

If you want to add hydra for example, it should have sound -1.

And then if you configure Vehicle special features -> Hydra vehicles, that vehicle will have a hydra's special sound.

 

You'll have to wait for more vehicle special features.

 

btw. .ini lines from LA and standalone ASI plugin are incompatible.

.ini line from LA has added a field_19.

32-bit EXEs require 32-bit DLLs (ASI).

128-bit EXEs require 128-bit DLLs.

 

There may be 64-bit ASI limit adjuster for GTA V, since the EXE is 64-bit.

Use SCRlog.

 

0x08A6 SCM command got executed.

OPEN_CAR_DOOR_A_BIT

 

Invalid vehicle handle was given.

 

Possibly a badly written CLEO script.

is there a somtehing like a "weapon pickup in radius" limit? Cause my game likes to crash times to times when I add pickups of all weapons only 2 meters apart from antoher.(spawning all weapons in a small area)

Looks like a pointer to model frame became a NULL for some reason.

COL ID limit got hacked.

Now CColModel items can have unsigned __int16 exCOL_file_ID;

 

which basically means that more than 256 COL slots may be used.

There could have been bugs if game used COL slots with ID over 255 until now.
