Lets say, start with 10 more decent Random Events and can use either Michael / Franklin / Trevor to complete and all have a nice payout of cash. How is it that this "news" that Trevor was going to be a secondary character surfaced just now and it's not even on a free wiki? After so many years of digging into the game's history. B Dawg Posted August 30, 2014 Share Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) If GTA takes on the typical mmo trend that keeps on evolving these days, I will simply refuse to play that particular game Even the Payday series took on the MMO sh*t with the 2nd game, with it's big focus on experience, money, grinding, infamy bullsh*t, customization, weapon attachments that makes all the guns look ugly but you need them to be able to get stuff done. I'm suprised the game doesn't have purchaseable shark cards for extra money/exp but they do put all the good stuff (LMGs, Sniper Rifles, superior Assault Rifles and superior Attachments, and the Best heists) as DLCs. At the end of the heists, you have to wait a minute for the experience to count, then the money, then wait for all players to pick f*ckin cards on what they will get and a bunch of other stupid stuff. Yet the only thing it did better over it's predecessor is the weapon mechanics, nothing else. This MMO approach is killing the fun out of games. The statue on Del Perro Beach since Beach Bum update. The construction sites. New switch animations. New NPC actions: If you spot sunbathing Amanda with the snapmatic, she asks you, how she looks, Michael answers, "as the day we met, just with more clothing on." Previously, it wasn't the case. The big adverts, at least at airport keep changing. Rae, the tennis player, has gotten a new haircut. There are more subtle changes, i'm sure. I also clearly remember reading an interview with Dan Houser being quoted as saying that Trevor was originally supposed to be an important non-playable character, but during the latter stages of V's development, Rockstar changed their minds and got an idea to make him a protagonist instead. I won't go into it any further or provide a source because I don't want to go off topic, but I'm pretty sure that Acetaminophen is right. Lethal Vaccine Posted August 30, 2014 Share Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) I am winding down with those horrendous 200 Pigeons in IV. Soon to go back to V for the first time since April. Can you believe it? I am actually looking forward to it simply because I actually forget everything about the game (well most of everything) and I also forget the controls/physics. I am so used to the 3D Era and GTA IV with "Classic" Controller Type activated that V is gonna feel very strange to me. I'll be hitting the E-Brake, thinking it's the gas I also want to mess around with the Save Editor some more since I can finally have All Proof vehicles in V now, which was a long time thing I wished was included in the game. This Winter or Spring I will do another 100% Playthrough with perfect stats and a Unique/EC Vehicle collection. I surely hope someone manages to find a legit way to obtain proof vehicles, though, so I don't have to use the Save Editor for that. I'm too scared to get out of my car fearing that it may suddenly despawn, and if I do get out of my car there seems to be nowhere to go. No good interiors, no nothing. I know this sounds crazy, but it sucks to know that I'll never go broke in SP unless I dump all of my money into stocks. Realistically speaking, there is nothing that will even make a dent in my bank account. I put probably 20 hours into stocks to get $1.6 billion. So I hope the guys at Rockstar get off of their asses and design some quality garages, safehouses (both penthouses and mansions), maybe a yacht or maybe even a super penthouse in Downtown Los Santos. I always thought we'd be able to buy something epic at the end of the game, something like a super impressive penthouse with a view of the whole city, bit windows, a huge terrace, something awesome! josephene123 Posted August 31, 2014 Share Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) Pretty much after the very first heist I could live my GTA V life very comfortably - and that was way too early in the game to be able to buy anything I wanted hundreds of times over barring the more expensive vehicles - which you can for the MOST part just find on the streets anyway. Perhaps there should have been more expensive stuff that you can't just find lying around the world? Perhaps they should have given a mechanic where govt and police would become suspicious if you started spending hundreds of thousands at a time - or hey - since that would be at it's core a very limiting mechanic, just give us a f*ck tonne of great houses with customisable interiors for us to spend cash on. Quite frankly, the stock market really doesn't need to exist. It doesn't bring anything to the game really which casinos wouldn't give in a much more interactive and fun way.
