SNL announcer Don Pardo has died

Recommended Posts

Say what you want about the current state of quality on Saturday Night Live, but the one cast member who has been there since the beginning, the good times and the bad, was the announcer Don Pardo. His voice echoes through the decades, announcing every cast member, every musical guest, and every guest host.

He was the voice of SNL, and even though, admittedly, I haven't watched in years, the show will never be the same.

I didn't know, but he was the original announcer for the Price is Right, as well.

this guys voice was indelible.

when I was a kid I used to try and make the same tone and mimic his voice every time he introduced the night's host.
