Can someone help me understand how I got a % increase while playing Violent Duct with one crew member and a friend?

Let me explain:

We played Violent Duct and received less than $3000.

So I slinked off to solo the mission and I received $9450. I only took 1 minute longer, because I must pick up every money and snack that drops from the dead guys.

What value have I overlooked? Should we demand to know the base pay for each mission?

When a mission is missing from your list, usually you have to either be invited to the mission or wish to receive it in your phone, complete it and then you'll have it added to your mission list

supershocked

most missions pay 10k to 22k based on how long u play and players that join. usually over 5mins goves u max cash. it finnaly stops grinding. i just clicked on missions that came on the scren and played for a hour and got 190k good cash. however there are still noobs playing RR. they never learn. maybe coz they suck at any other mission beside it, guess thats why some RR noob yday kept crashing the plane wen we played base invaders so we kicked the RR noob out

Seriously happy that RR has been rightfully nerfed. Hopefully this encourages people to play more missions. Really is a shame all my pals don't play GTA anymore, playing with randoms is horrible, but maybe this will encourage good players to play more missions

I didn't realize that the missions others play meant so much to you...get over yourself

Learn to read. People simply want variety. I know you're the type of baboon who hosts RR for the rest of his life and probably forgets to turn off matchmaking because you're an absolute mong so I'm sorry if my positive post somewhat offended you but "get over yourself". Not everyone wants to play RR all day like you.

And no, most people can't even start their own lobbies due to freezing and crappy matchmaking.

How about you learn to read? I always play RR with matchmaking off because I don't want trolls screwing the mission up for me. Second, I only grind RR once every two weeks...so maybe you should stop acting like you know me, moron. Again, get over yourself.

LS Connection is a very nice one to do. Its not as boring as RR and even though you have to do more, its still nice getting 26k every 10 mins or so. Plus, who truly likes doing RR over and over and over...? Now we can get big payouts on more missions, that equals variety. If anyone likes repetitive RR over variety that pays the same, if not more, then you defiantly live a very boring life. They didn't make GTA Rooftop Rumble. They made an entire game with many different missions. I know not one person plaid $60 just for a one mission game.

Quit trying to act like everyone should play the game the way YOU think it should be played. Now is variety had? Heck no. I don't think that anyone should be making threads saying how this payout change is bad. I just find you people who are so giddy that RR doesn't pay that well anymore petty.

Not too sure why you are directing this towards me, but I didn't say anything about anyone playing the game a certain way. I simply stated the obvious. Not one person was mentioned, nor did I say anything about playing the game like I do. I didn't even state how I play the game. Now if you are agreeing with me, then go on. The fact of the matter is, now with this update, no one should complain about $ anymore. You can do SO much more than just grind one mission. The game was made to be played many different ways. Thats why there is so much variety. We ran through 5 or 6 different missions last night and got well over 200K. Plus we had a blast. I think they did a good job with the payout change. Its actually a lot of fun to run around terrorizing the city without the 5-0 on you. The only thing they need to think about though with this update is the camera. At first, I thought it was a great idea to allow a double tap on the D Pad, but after trying to get to my contacts fast, that damn camera pops up way too much. Yea, its not heists, but its something...and guess what? Not one person paid a single penny for it! Free DLC? Who doesn't like free?

It seems like this thread is divided between people who love RR, people who hate RR, people posting their earnings, and a few @$$#013$ talking $#!+ about nothing at all, but I think the purpose of this thread was to determine the most efficient way to make money. As myself and many others have tested and verified through source code, there is a new time mechanic which, ironically, pays more for taking LONGER to complete a mission (it appears as though 10-12 minutes is the ideal length.) Since quickness is no longer an issue, we should focus on which missions are easier to complete with a higher rate of success based on factors such as overall difficulty (potentially limiting the ability to do the mission solo, such as The Los Santos Connection or Stocks and Scares), the nature of the mission (is there an essential vehicle/package that can be destroyed causing failure, or is it a simple assassination?), if there are frequent bugs that can cause failure (rooftop rumble, anyone?), and of course, maximum payout. We should compile a list of solo/hard payouts at 10+ minutes and their ease of completion including any basic tips/strategies that might make them easier. Also, there appears to be a few people claiming factors such as mission contribution/performance such as enemies killed, headshots, lack of death or injury, transporting objectives, or having played the mission too many times within a given period might be a factor in payouts. Supporters of these theories should provide empirical data confirming these ideas as well. I myself have seen nothing to suggest that performance is a factor, although several times I have seen different players in a session receive varying payouts which did not appear to correlate with their performance stats. My only theory is that there may be some bugs in the new algorithms that determine payouts, unless having recently played a mission too many times does in fact reduce payout for that mission. I say we get this topic back on track and SHUT THE F*** UP ABOUT STUPID ROOFTOP RUMBLE (except to post it's max solo/hard payout, which I'm sure has been done by now.)

I wonder how much the content of the actual mission affects the payout of the mission now. It feels like the difference in payouts is a lot more dependent on the time spent factor and the set difficulty+the amount of players on the job. I got about 20K from a goddamn easy ass Simeon job that took us pretty long to complete, because my partner(and yes there were only two of us we could have got more money with 4 people given we spent the same amount of time in it) was really taking his time in delivering the second car for some reason. Is it really worth it playing the more difficult jobs if the actual content doesn't make the mission that much more rewarding(other than for fun of course)? This system is definitely better than all the inconsistent payouts we had before, but I can't say it's perfect.

This new system does bring the potential of a custom mission creator though. This system is pretty hard to exploit, because it really comes down to how much time you spend on the mission and not what the mission contains. I mean I guess you could make some super easy missions with good payouts, but it still would take the same amount of time as the other missions and money exploits are usually mostly about making money as fast as possible.

Do the firing range in the Flight School. Get at least silver and you get around 22k each time. Takes around 5 minutes to do each time. Do the math. (Mine is bad so correct me respectfully if i'm wrong) I estimate you get 1,000,000 every 45 mins.

I did one of the few missions i never played since october because never showed up in mission selection, called "Dirt Road" from Trevor, opens at level 19, 1-2 players

Kill a guy on Sanchez, steal meth, drive to Trevor, it was ranked 1%, probably because paid an handshake and two potatoes, before 1.16, who knows

Anyway, on Hard, first attempt the guy in Sanchez drive away and had to follow him on off road, didn't manage to reach him in my Ruiner, so had to follow him around ALL Los Santos and killed him at Vespucci Beach (=_=) , took much more than 10 minutes (did not timed it), paid around 19500.

Second try, killed him right at starting point, kill less than ten Lost very fast, drive 3.5 miles to Trevor, total time 4:30 without idling, paid around 9200, not bad, I think (maybe next time will try to count at least 5 minutes)

There would be 9 5-minute runs in 45 minutes, so $22,000 x 9 would be $198,000. Granted, that's still a good amount of money.

EDIT: Repeating it actually reduced the reward to $15,000 for a gold medal, and further reduces it then to $3,000.

  • 2 weeks later...

The gta wiki states if you play past 16 minutes the payout is greater, I personaly feel you should get paid more if you complete the mission quicker, much more logical. I imagine if I were Martin Medrazo and I was paying someone to kill 12 jurors I would raise the payday if it was completed quickly, not pay them more "when you get around to it".

Yeah first time I did the flight school I was expecting the buzzard mission to be the new grind, but R* are onto us :)
