Anyone think flight school is waaay too hard at first?

More annoying than hard, the first mission i did 2 successful loops under the bridge but the meter never came on even though I went through the corona, I landed on the truck bed but apparently didn't have enough in the circle, I hit bullseye on the parachute one and got a bronze!?

 

It comes down to how much you've flown if you rarely fly its going to be harder and judging from the lack of people in air races and the amount of crashes in air races i think most people are going to be in for a long day.

For the parachute one you're not meant to land in the middle but more like letting your guy land at the edge & letting him run towards the middle.

You guys realize you ONLY have to get close so that the ring is green, right? You don't have to be IN the green ring...

 

The problem is when they start doing the flips they go are such an angle and speed that the player's jets simply does not seem like it can go.

Formation flight is difficult. I managed to do it, but those f*cking loops f*cked me up constantly. I couldn't figure out what speed to go, the jets are also very sensitive.

they were all pretty easy, the only ones that were kinda bullsh*t are the parachute, titan, and some of the formation flying one

the parachute and titan are just annoying, you have to be exactly in the middle of the target after landing in the parachute one, and the titan one ends before even coming to a full stop at the target

 

the formation one was fairly easy except the loops, it doesnt seem possible to keep up during that part

i had to do the ouside loop one several times before i got it (i ended up with sliver)

 

got bronze on the engine failure even though i landed the plane perfectly i was just maybe 50 feet always from the marker

 

got silver on city landing after several fails

 

now im stuck formation...cant control the jet good enough to be in formation

Only hard one to gold was flag collecting IMO. Formation is hard until you realize you can use the landing gear to auto balance on straight aways

Formation one was pretty hard, ground control wasn't nearly as hard as I thought, but still hard, and the random 30 checkpoint if imagine being the hardest if anyone actually tried to do it in the time given.

 

And who actually followed the knifes and inversions for the last one. I said f*ck that to all of them and it still was freaking hard.

I just did, got every single one. 37,500 for Gold, first time.

 

Honestly some of it was challenging, but pretty much just fun. It's not "too hard" unless you're not very good with flying, that's pretty self evident

I'm on the Collect Flags atm. If anyone has a video of the route that would be useful it'd be greatly appreciated.

 

As for the Flight School itself, this is one of those things that once completed all gold, I don't ever see myself coming back to it.

Getting gold was easy, the hard part was trying to beat/match the world records. I should have known better. I just wish there was more challenges to do, it's pretty fun.

 

Matched the 0.00m record on Ground Level though after a few retries (kept crashing on the checkpoints on the big white water pipes just past the dam). The WR for catch the flag is f*ckin ridiculous though, I was all over the place on that one.

I got gold on the first five flight school missions. Now I'm stuck with the Buzzard shooting targets at a construction site.

 

Its gonna be better when a thread is made for tips and tricks getting gold on these lessons and also when youtubers starts showing the ropes how to get gold.

 

Question, how did you get Gold on the Chase Parachute? Every time I aim for the bullseye, my character rolls or falls forward into Silver or Bronze. But then, when I try to land in front of the bullseye, my character suddenly refuses to roll or fall toward Gold.

 

It's damned if you do, damned if you don't. What was your strategy?

Got all gold medals on the first try for everything. I found it far too easy, but then again I'm in a plane or jet 99% of the time. The other 1% is just me driving to the base haha.

I keep getting silver on the mission where you have to get your parachute mid-air. How are you supposed to land in order to get gold?

It is not really where you land but where your characters ends up after roll/trip so aim for the outter part of the seccond ring, or just fly low and when you are on top the middle press the bumpers and joystick back so it stays where you landed

True. The buzzard shooting gallery was waaay easier that the hunter one.

Back to topic, the flight school was easy. I just sucked at formation flying and the bridge one. Ground level is starting to become a pain in the ass. Got 70k though.

Haven't been online yet but I would be extremely disappointed if it wasn't relatively difficult.

 

If the flight school were a walkover, that alone would render 1.16 a fail.

Who ever says Formation Flight is easy then sorry but you must be lying or got someone else to do it since you can't even stay in the f*****g green ring!!!!!!!!!!!

formation flight was very easy, like 2-3 tries for the gold medal easy... now that flag mission was a B****

 

edit:

heres a tip for FORMATION FLIGHT - Accel to the circle, turn it green, then let go of the acceleration and just glide with the group using R1/L1... the rest is knowing what formation is coming up next and being able to stick with them... dont worry about gold at first, just have fun and learn the route.. then gold will be achievable.. and oh yeah hit the accelerate on the looping part.. good luck

I was getting angry at the formation, fly low and flag capture missions but I prevailed and got gold on all of the flight school missions, just to win a lousy t-shirt that I'm never going to wear.
