Having an opinion is one thing. Bashing on free content is just moronic. We could of gotten nothing, be happy with what you got. Your "opinion" is based on your unrealistic expectations, hence you got disappointed. Myself, and Mr. lazyassedlover are not disppointed, because we kept our expectations on a realistic level.

 

 

Several people in these forums have quite logically and eloquently explained that the "content" released to us is not actually free. No need for me to rehash their arguments.

 

 

The fact of the matter is, GTA Online came out nearly a year ago as a broken and admittedly incomplete game. It still isn't fixed, and we still have not received all that we paid our $60 for. Updates like this are a slap in the face to people who hold the reasonable expectation that Rockstar should release content that offers actual utility. If they have to charge for DLC, then so be it. I never asked for them to give me a bunch of useless sh*t for "free." I, personally, would be both willing and able to pay for quality content. Rockstar has not presented that option to me.

 

As a long-time past, current, and most likely long-time future consumer of Rockstar products, I believe it is only fair and just to hold them to somewhat reasonable expectations. And those expectations are higher than a bunch of useless air vehicles (why release a "training jet" that essentially has the same capabilities as the fighter jet, re-skinned and stripped of weapons?), a Flight School I can complete on Gold in less than two hours with missions that have unacceptable bugs, and a $50,000 pilot suit that I will never wear.

 

 

I think it is only reasonable to expect Rockstar to release content that actually adds to the game itself long-term. The Hydra would have done this. Heists would do this. Adding features to the Deathmatch Creator that will allow it to match up with the already released Capture Creator features would do this. Adding a Vehicle Deathmatch or Mission Creator would do it. There are an infinite number of directions Rockstar could have gone, since Day 1, that could have added to the game in more than just a superficial way. Instead, they have consciously decided to release a bare minimum of features to us (Creator, Capture, Capture Creator) even though they are capable of releasing so much more. Which, at this point, it is only logical to assume that they intentionally hold back.

This update was a major disappointment mainly because I rarely use planes enough to warrant spending almost $2 million on one. The car is dope, but the planes are bleh.
