Freezing is back with a vengence.

I've frozen twice now after only 5 minutes (not even) of playing. 3rd time booting up GTA and still haven't got to try any of the DLC stuff yet.

 

Anyone else started freezing again? It stopped for me after 1.14 but it seems to be back again.

guys what do you expect. so many wanting to play the new update. stick another game in for a hour or two. by then the young'uns will be bored and the server usage back to normal lol

It froze (PS3) when I tried to download the DLC. I switched the console off, tried again and now is downloading.

I suspect TomKongPhooey is right, everyone is trying to get this at once and overloading

the game servers so of course its going to freeze.

 

Also R* probably still have to finish the updates at their end server side to make everything

available (like the new missions etc).

Try updating the ps store. It worked for me.

If you are having issues with a black screen when you try to download the update then hover over GTA 5 in the ps menu, press triangle and click "check for updates" and download it that way. This solved the issue for me.

Yes it was 3rd time lucky, The first time it froze was when I was in the sky loading screen, second time was just as my Swift spawned, I'm thinking now the console is used to the update and it hasn't froze at all on the 3rd try

 

EDIT: Just froze again f*ck this sh*t this whole update was a let down

Played through all of Flight School in Invite Only over about 30 mins...

 

Join Public Session, Spawns in Apartment, Hard Freezes trying to enter Garage all inside 30s ...ffs. Fail of an Update indeed.

Same, I got through flight school (public session) then froze in free roam a few minutes later. I noticed the auto-save circle at the bottom right when it froze, maybe that partly is whats causing it
