As usual metal gets overlooked. One of the greatest forms of music with some of the greatest guitarists and drummers ever. So sad that still to this day people who dont like it refer to it as devil music that makes you want to kill your mother. Metal has THE most loyal following of any music on the planet. More f*cking metal please.

I'd like elijah and skilliam to host a grime station with people like p jam, dok, wiley, p money, blacks, faze miyake, bok bok, royal t and terrah danjah...or let rinse fm have a station...already got swindle on worldwide fm!

Most of you assclowns have the worst taste in music ever. After seeing some of these suggestions I'm deeply appreciative of r*'s music choices.
I'm down with night ride fm though. that dudes YouTube mix is one of the tightest mixes I've heard in a long time.just feels right for gta.

Do you know how much money Metallica have and how big their jet is?

 

UK grime gets overlooked, psych folk gets overlooked, gabber gets overlooked, dub reggae gets overlooked, acid gets overlooked, post rock gets overlooked to name but a handful of relatively overlooked genres...not metal though it's huge and loads of people ONLY listen to metal which for me is pretty musically narrow minded and that's what leads to this blinkered siege mentality so often heard from metal heads.

I see what you're saying. Metal still is popular and Metallica is, without a doubt, one of the most selling bands ever. But metal IS slowly dying out, especially with the younger people of the generation. Keep in mind, this is coming from a 16 year old who only knows of a handful of people in my school who actually enjoy it and appreciate it. The rest? They listen to nothing but rap and mainstream sh*t, and view metal as mere untalented noise.

 

Metal used to be giant back in the 80's-early 00's, but now it seems that you see less and less of it. Where I live, they literally shut down all of the metal/rock radio stations, and was replaced by pop music. Probably shut down because people actually still believe that it's "Satanic, make you wanna commit mass genocide on elderly people" music.

 

As for your last comment, I agree fully. The "metalheads" who refuse to give anything besides metal a chance are close minded f*ckers. I would know, I used to be the same exact way. I thought everything besides metal sucked and wasn't "real" music. I finally broke through that and I've pretty much given and will continue to give everything a chance, whether I like it in the end or not. I've discovered some great new music just by giving chances. Of course, my heart has a special place for metal, as it's my #1, but it's nice to have variety, ya know?

Id love to hear:

 

1) stoner rock for those desert sessions

 

2) psytrance/psychill for wilderness exploration/photography

 

3) dubstep. Yep. I know, right? But for cereal, when all kinds of crazy sh*t is blowing up and choppers and jets are exploding cars and eachother, and you're zooming by on a crotch-rocket it can be pretty rad.
