Unless, of course, you really like jets. If you do, then moves like the Hydra only prolong the game's lifespan.

 

 

My advice: Learn to fly the jet, you will be much happier that way. If you do, then the next time a jet griefer enters your session, you can take him out and go back to whatever you were doing before.

 

Being able to order jets on Pegasus only hurts the hardcore jet griefers. First of all, they have to lock down the Airport, Senora Airstrip, and the runway in Grapeseed, in addition to Fort Zancudo, which is the only place you have to lock down currently if you wish to prevent others from getting jets. Additionally, people who have some skill in jets but do not wish to travel all the way to Fort Zancudo in order to take out some jet griefer, will be able to acquire the jet they need to defend themselves without traveling half-way across the map.

 

 

Honestly, I love the Lazer, and am dying for a Hydra, but I can acknowledge that the current state of jet griefing is a problem. Most of the more astute jet griefers I know are loathe to reveal that adding the Lazer (or a similarly powerful jet) to Pegasus actually harms their monopoly over the skies. I spend a decent amount of time jet griefing, because I enjoy the jet, but my main thing is jet deathmatches. I love air-to-air, and could live without jet griefing. I just hope the solution Rockstar takes, should they choose to employ one, involves giving people tools to counter the jet rather than nerfing it. Taking away the explosive cannons would have devastating effects on jet deathmatches. Free-for-all's would turn into kill stealing festivals.

 

 

So basically, if you hate jet griefers, you should want the jet on Pegasus. Stealing the jet alone is a nuanced art (at least if you do it without Cops Turn Blind Eye), and the way things are now, the people like myself who love the jet essentially own a monopoly on them.

People tend to get mad when you play the game in a way that is different from how they play the game.

 

 

Sure, it can be annoying when the way somebody else wants to play the game impedes upon the way you want to play it, but that's what Find New Session is for. It's really not that big a deal to go to the pause menu and join another room where the people are more to your liking. It makes more sense than trying to police an open session, either through your mic or through text, when you don't actually have any authority (neither moral nor material) to actually do anything about it. Just find a new session. It isn't that hard.

But they did something far more nefarious: They added code, indicating it would come out, and then pulled it at the last second for one reason or another. Probably to increase the longevity of the game. It would be kind of cynical to them to have this highly anticipated vehicle ready and waiting, and then not release it because they believe they can squeeze a few more dollars out of us by holding it back.

Cynical? Nefarious?

 

Rockstar never announced that Hydra was coming. If they ever actually intended to have it in the update, they probably pulled it for technical reasons, not to screw you over.

 

If it weren't for Domislame and his fellow "leakers" this wouldn't be a huge letdown.
