Heists was a conspiracy theory orchestrated by Rockstar Games with the assistance of Take Two Interactive. Initially this was intended to deceive the customer base as a way of increasing the excitement in hopes of more GTA Cash. This was then followed on by the reduction of mission payouts and endorsement of Shark Cards for increased revenue. However, due to high demand Heists has now been reconsidered and has been pushed to the release date of November 2014 or 2015 as the next Gen release may be delayed. The delay may occur to build up the hype and waiting time for the real GTA Online as was done with the real GTA 5 story mode back in 2013.

Honestly i was posting this same conspiracy a while back. It makes sense if you look at all the people sticking around for the heists. Gotta give the ppl something to dream on ya know

This is probably true. I gave up waiting for Heists when July hit. Truth is, I would have never cared about Heists if Rockstar wouldn't have mentioned them in that FIRST trailer, or when discussing online.

 

We're approaching Fall, and no plans unveiled by Rockstar about the situation. A shame, but GTA V is still the best game. Last gen or current.
