Thanks guys. Didn't think I'd get so many nice responses. I've spent a good portion of my morning visiting him. Went for a walk afterwards and it's super hot out so I'm popping in the shower and then heading on GTA to work on some games. I really need to keep my mind occupied. I don't think I'll be very sociable so I'll set myself to busy, sorry.

There was a talk about an event with multiple hosts for different platforms. I think that holding this event would be the best way to put Xbox 360 meets to rest. I've seen people moan over 360 meets ending in the past and I've sworn to not make it seem like a tragedy - to end 360 meets - but I now understand. For those that don't own an X1 it's a big deal to stop hosting/see a host you know stop his meets. Rest assure that I do plan to start hosting on the X1 some time this year (if not early next year, depending on my financial situation). It's better to end on a high note with a good amount of players instead of struggling to have 3 people in a meet. I'm sure we can still play those games when we get together on the 360 (they'll most definitely be on the X1) and I'll most likely keep this thread alive with small meetups (not as organized - just chill lobbies). I do plan to convert this thread into an Xbox 360 + X1 thread if 360 meets are still a thing, if not just convert it fully to an X1 thread. Keep all the old memories in one place, you know? I'm ending my own meets so if Yello or other 360 hosts still host then that's great. I don't want to be the leader in the downfall of something...but by looking at the past few weeks let's just say that I'm holding on for as long as possible before the ship just sinks.

I've got a few ideas in mind for this multi-host project. I think it's that "big" thing that's just right to put 360 meets to an end. Well, super-organized meets (that I know of), at least. Find A Meetup will still hold 360 meets, no doubt.

*edit*
Hopefully it won't get locked/removed due to lack of activity (pretty much promoting myself at the moment) but this project that I mentioned above is in movement. You can view it here:

http://gtaforums.com/topic/808128-all-platforms-a-family-reunion-car-meet-edition-hosts-needed/

The thread explains a lot. Changes will be made over time. It's a structure at the moment. Anyone know of someone willing to make a nice banner for the thread? Please post here or PM me. Other than that I think it looks great! Made my own little pictures for the thread - yeah, that trend. Not a fan of it, I'll be honest. It looks good but a bitch to make.

Anyone wanting to keep up with that thread can view the change log at the bottom. I'll edit it a little and then work on it whenever I feel changes need to be made. It's a long way until the meets!

Dam. So much happened in a week that I was not online. :O Hey Tick. First off, really sorry to hear about your friends situation. Hope he gets better. My prayers go out to him and his family. Secondly, my life has gotten real hectic and I rarely get on the forum and/or the 360 myself. If you are doing your final meet on the 360 then you can be sure that I will be there!

Sorry, no updates concerning meet themselves. Just giving you guys a heads up on what I've been doing as of late.

First off, I'm very proud of this (and hopefully it works out/is fun, I JUST posted it as of typing this) - it's a forum game where you can play along. I'm hyped for Fallout 4 and decided to make a G.O.A.T test for GTA:Online. If you don't know what a G.O.A.T is or if you love Fallout, please check it out and play!

http://gtaforums.com/topic/809054-gtaonlines-goat/

Also, the thread mentioned above Outkast's comment isn't seeing as much action as I've wished. I did notice that mods moved the Events section right below Find A Meetup so people who miss-click the Find A Meetup and end up clicking Events will stumble in here so that's nice. I guess it was done due to the lack of activity for the PC threads that a long-time member posted and they finally realized how inactive the Events section is. Maybe a change will come at some point? Who knows.

Hope you enjoy the game posted above and it might serve a purpose for a Minigame Night in the form of a questionnaire or something. There's some Fallout games to be created for meets, that's for sure. Now I just need to figure out how to make them work...

*edit*
The G.O.A.T game is now pinned in the Online section! Hopefully this will advertise my signature a little bit better for when I post a meet. Everyone is enjoying themselves and the game is really fun. I'm blown away. I'm seriously at a loss for words.

Wow, it's been a while since this thread has seen the first page. I'm sure most people looking at this section are new players or players I've yet to meet as I don't recognize many names. Anyway, welcome to my thread if this is your first time seeing it. For others who remember: welcome back! I'll be making the necessary changes to the thread such as making it Xbox One ready and taking out the 360. I won't be hosting meets yet but I'll resume my agenda with timezones, what meets to watch and periodically post stuff here. I'm still getting adjusted to my new X1 and GTA V on current-gen. The big issue with making me comfortable on the X1 is the sh*tty mic that came with it. I got the Forza 6 edition X1 and despite costing $450, it came with the world's sh*ttiest mic. Like Turn10 couldn't bother to bug Microsoft for a mic that you could hear people talk into it without muting your TV or stop breathing. It's ridiculously hard to hear others. I can't wait to get some Turtlebeaches when I can afford those. It won't be for a while, though, and that means no meet from me. Not until I can hear everyone clearly and be comfortable with the X1's options/friend list menu/etc. This is all new to me.

Now why am I posting here if I don't announce a meet? Well, I'm announcing my return (if that's a big deal to anyone) but also my photograph skills. Not only will I try to cover meets once again with feedback and pics but we can also record with these nifty machines. I've done two tests, one using the Upload tool on the X1 and the other is done in R* Editor. The Upload would be used mostly to film runs of an event or snippets of a meet seeing you can only record 5 minutes (as far as I know) and the R* Editor will be used to showcase a meet/event off with fancy camera work (so far I've recorded 4 minute 30 second clips, is that the max?). So yeah...some nice tools to play around and get comfortable with. I'll most likely use the Upload one when going on cruises (and hopefully I'll remember to remove my minimap so it looks better with no hud) and use the R* Editor for minigames and such.

Here's the Upload one:

And here's the R* Editor:

The Editor is actually understandable as it's very similar to EA Skate's editor, which I loved. I made amazing vids (humble brag) on Skate 1-3 and the R* Editor has a free camera which is essentially the same thing. Super simple to use. I'm still getting the feel for it and looking at other options. As said; it's my new X1, just got it so I'm still getting comfortable with everything. I'm learning quick, though, so posts containing pics and vids could be soon. Now I'm looking at sticking to this section more now that I have a console ready for meets. I'm hoping this thread can get a revival and a daily amount of people posting here looking for meets and other useful info. Sort of like a hub. Anyway, that's all for now. ;)

*edit*
Thread now X1 worthy! Now, the real question is...should I still stick to the 360 for those still holding out? How many of you are willing to join my 360 meets? My minigames are still on there and I think I can just switch from 360 to X1 quite easily. The only issue I have is wondering if it would be worth my time to still focus on the 360. Enough support will warrant meets on both the 360 and X1. I'll pop in here whenever I can and see if there's any activity about the subject.

Also, seeing this new section is a merge of two old sections (Find A Meetup and Events now into one), expect this thread to fly off the first page. The solution for this is to follow this thread or add it as a bookmark, that is if you like hanging in here. Anyway, please let me know if you're interested in 360 meets, X1 meets or if you like peanut butter and chocolate milk in the morning.

*2nd edit*
Just read a few posts above where I was discussing the multi-platform event. Well, that's canceled due to complexity, finding hosts for other platforms and life getting in the way. I've always had a hard time coordinating a meet with other hosts. Want to be a host? Do it yourself, that way you know what you want and what to expect. ;) Edited by livejoker

Great to see you on the x1 and i'm really looking forward to any future meets that you host because your 360 meets were top drawer stuff.

I would still pop onto the 360 to take part in your meets and i know there are people just on the 360 so you should still get people taking part.

I think that you should host mainly X1 meets because that's where the most demand is, and do 360 meets from time to time for those who are still too poor to get a $500 machine

That's just my opinion though

ooooooo....i'm sure it was toungue in cheek but "too poor to get a $500 machine" is harsh.
Some people have much higher priorities than spending a reletively large amount of money on a games console and in addition, the 360 still performs very well. The graphics aren't as good and the latest DLC aren't available but it's still a good piece of kit.

Glad to see you've finally got to use the R* Editor, and not bad for the first test i should say ;), speaking of which i can't wait till you host meets on here once again someday, but first you go out and get comfortable with that new X1, pretty annoying when you don't know what to do on it (friends list, party, etc.), but later on you will get use to it though.

i would like to share with you one of my first projects with the R* Editor, enjoy :D

Just a quick reply as I have 5 mins. Would suggest maybe sticking to the xb1. I tryed to host 360 meets for about 4mths after getting the one. I found that my heart was not in it as much and this usually led to them been a bit sh*t. I also found it diluted my enjoyment of the game sightly.

Would stick to doing the odd 360 meet or maybe repeating xb1 idea a few wks later.

Would not worry about the mic u came across loud and clear. Although as I use the standard headset I know hearing people is an issue . Quality is still much much better than 360 though

I'm trying to remain positive but you know what I agree. After my final two 360 meets my interest dwained a bit. I have no doubt people who turned up had a good time but the time and effort involved setting up a big event didn't seem worth it.

Doing something on the x1 then possible doing it on the 360 is a good shout and is something we should do with ROAR Rally....oh hang on...we are... ;)

Details on the ROAR Rally can be found here :) Nothing like a quick plug for our events :)

@Crow: Wow, amazing vid! It's great to see that noobs can still make cool vids. Can't wait to see what we come up with once we're masters at the editor. I'm slowly understanding and getting used to the X1 menus but I really hate how parties work. If I miss the "hold X to launch new window", I pretty much am clueless as to where I can see party invites. They don't seem to appear in my messages and the party tab just shows an option to make a new party. The 360 and its blade menu was, in my opinion, far better. Snap is also a piece of sh*t. I've gotten killed just because I'm in the snap menu and mashing B to get back into the game. Has the X1 seriously been out for 2 years? Feels like it launched last week. I'm honestly not impressed with this $450 machine.

@Yello & Gas: Alright, guys, let's not get heated - not in here, at least. That's why I'm asking the question concerning meets on the 360. I know how the 360 works, I know how GTA:O on the 360 feels like and I know how to make the most out of managing players in the game and inviting new ones in. Glad to see Yello apologized for "jumping the gun" but it's understandable to protect AND to diss each console. I now have a 360 and an X1 and while my opinion of the X1 is uninformed and early, as I said I'm not impressed by it. The 360 is, in my opinion, far better for socializing with players. But that brings me to another issue...talking about socializing, I threw away my turtlebeaches from the 360 as they're broken. I can get some for $30 but that's $30 towards a console I'll only be using for meets. Meanwhile I have to pay my laptop, my X1 and a new X1 headset (aiming towards $40-$70, at most). So it's a lot to pay for and one of the reasons why I'm not hosting at the moment. I just need time to gather money up and put it in the right place for it to show in my meets. Oh, Yello, remind me to plug my next meet in your thread so we're even. :p

@Steve: Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely keep that into account. I promised Outkast that I would still do 360 meets despite owning an X1 and now that I have an X1, the 360 seems like dust...but, as I've said; I know what my meets on the 360 are like so the appeal for it is still there for me. If there's demand for it, I'll always have the heart for it. I've always said "take care of the meet and the meet will take care of you". I've always stood by that motto/motive and it's always worked out. If you want a meet to work, it will - sometimes not as how you've imagined. If I take care of a 360 meet, I know enough people will show up to give me and the others a good time. Also, sharing ideas between the 360 and the X1 is a good call. Maybe do my minigames on each console? And yes, they did transfer.

@Reality: I was nervous of being a returning but basically unknown player. The AllStars crew made me feel welcomed and my first "meet" left me with a good impression on how things will look like. Also great to see old names. The mic I have is crap in terms of HEARING other players. I'm used to turtlebeaches with in-game and voice chat options and hearing myself talk in the headphones. With this one I have to hear in-game through the TV using one ear and the voice chat using the other ear. The headphone on that mic is so faint that I actually have to press it into my ear to hear more clearly. It's pathetic and why I'm making such a big fuss on getting a new headset as soon as possible. Also, not hearing myself makes it hard to judge how loud I can yell out the word "penis" during a meet without everyone telling me to shut up as I'm too loud.

@Attackerman & Dubbed_Finess: I'm currently discussing the status of my meets. Pop in here from time to time to see what's going on. Expect a meet in a few months, maybe earlier. Sorry to not offer meets at the moment but I promise that you'll see this thread stay on the front page once meets get going. I also don't keep a tabs list so if you want to sign up for the next meet you'll have to post here again once the meet is announced in the first post. That way spots can't be reserved and ensures players know when the meet is, the conditions set and other info that reserve list players miss out on. Just makes everything fair for everyone.

Thanks for the feedback, guys! I'm super stoked to see this thread rising from the depth of darkness and back into mainstream. Sadly, I have little to offer in here other than using this place as my personal blog. As I said I'll be posting meet times in my agenda and my progress on the R* Editor. First thing I need to do is join random meets, start snapping pics and get back into posting feedback & pics. Once that's settled I can concentrate on making trailers or highlight reels for meets. Once that's done I can look at hosting my own meets, get the ball rolling and hopefully see Minigame Night make a return. Sadly, I'm going to guess that all of this will happen after this year. Early 2016 is my guess - and a big guess, at that, so I wouldn't hold my breath. But if you know about any cool meets/hosts that I already don't know about please feel free to post links here or send me a PM. I want to get back into the meet scene and start weeding out bad players and showing off good hosts.

Thanks for your support, guys/gals. I really appreciate it. :cookie:

Man. It sure has been a while since i have seen this thread alive. And it's nice to read from new and the regulars (Yellow, Steve, PoisonGas -Of course the main dude behind this post Tick!) Hope all of you guys are doing well. Unfortunately i will (and will continue to) be on the 360 for at least 6-12 months from this post. Got a new direction in life that i must persue and it would take up the next 6 months at least.

So Tick, i guess i would still be on the 360 and looking forward to you (or as a matter of fact any of the other regular hosts) hosting meets. I haven't been on the forum much myself trying to search for meets. I still get on the 360 and ping a few of you guys on an occassion as a way of staying in touch and letting y'all know that what we shared during our meets was special and i am glad i made a few videos to reminiscence from time to time. Good times indeed.

Guess 360 Car Meets are dead for now at least and it's only natural that people migrate to a newer and better car meet experience on next gen. I can't wait to get my hands on my own X1 someday and trust me the day i do, you guys will surely know. This isn't goodbye or anything, i will surely check the forum and the threads for what's new and what's happening on the car meet front. Looking forward to the experiences you guys are having and Tick i am surely looking forward to seeing the picutres you click brah!

Best wishes as always to you! :^: and to the others who take part as together, y'all make car meets worth it! :)

Even if meets were held on PC's worth $10,000 I still would prefer meets on the 360. Just because the X1 makes the game look better and has more features does it mean that meets reflect that. Meets, no matter the game, have always been about the people joining them. The word meet tends to be thrown around a lot so it's easy to forget what it means - if you're not meeting new people, you're not doing a meet. You're doing a goddamn reunion. Which, I guess, is true for the 360 if I return to meets on there but I did see a few 360 threads earlier asking for 360 meets so the demand is still there. How dedicated those players are I'm unsure (they don't even have a profile picture on the forum so that's a little giveaway). Alright, well I'll hook up my 360 once I get a headset. Maybe start the ball rolling with a 360 meet and the week after it's an X1 meet. Sorry if I'm discussing my plan for the incoming months but getting some activity in this thread will help me join meets and get my status back.

Again, glad to have some input on this and even some new faces asking when the next meet is (sorry!). All has been taken into account and all I need now is time. Also, my signature will be changed to a colored and new "banner" once my next meet is announced so keep that in mind if this thread gets lost through the pages.

I'm back at my home with a stable internet connection, and i was able to afford the the upgrade to Xbox 1. Although i no longer have the old 360, i think its only fair to give last gen a taste of the fun. It's not fair to leave out the last generation because they cant afford the new console or the games they need. I am very excited to see that the meets are continuing to live on in the new generation. See you all soon.

I can see some merit in Gdays point. And as a fellow host I have loyalty towards people I have spent time been a part of meets with on the 360.

However I think it's worth while remembering that it has little to do with fairness. After all hosts of meets are not payed by rockstar or Microsoft to run meets.

They are hosted for fun and because they love doing it.

After all I would never expect some one who attended the meets I ran, who then upgraded to an Xbox 1 to, still attend meets that I ran on the 360.

i guess your right, the fairness part isnt really valid, but what i mean is that it sucks to be left out, but if its not an inconvenience than i see no reason to stop, unless of course you have better opportunities with the new generation. but overall tick, its your decision, and whatever makes you happy is fine by us.

Quick update:

Finally joined a proper X1 meet which let me explore making vids. Relaxed meet held by Steve which was a great opportunity for me to catch up to everything that needs to be done for pics, vids and keeping tabs on who's talking and who's making trouble. I'm slowly getting back into it. Check the feedback & pics (as always) here!

So I figured out that you can raise the chat volume via the controller in the dashboard options. Yeah, it's weird but my mic is 60% better and I can hear everyone now which makes me question when I'll finally host a meet instead of leaving these updates. I've dabbled in Rockstar Editor for pics and making small vids and I've gone back into the Creator and remade Balls In My Box (that soccer game) with changes to make it exciting on the X1. I'll be recreating the most popular games and once I'm happy with those I'll start planning a meet out. I'm hoping most that join will be friends so I can get my feet under myself but I'll gladly accept any new faces. The X1 will make meet invites a bit different and any trolls will have to be kicked within the second of being called out. On the 360 you could just make a new lobby or tell everyone to kick that person but with more numbers on the X1 I don't know if "new faces" restriction should be applied (say, 5 new players). No hate on those that I don't know but this is a whole different playing field for me at the moment.

No worries, I'll be plugging back up my 360 and doing a meet for those that don't have an X1. I currently don't have a 360 mic so that might take a while but I promise that 360 meets will be a thing, alongside X1 meets. Thanks for reading and apologies for not having a meet to present. As a token of making this post worth checking out I'll be keeping my agenda up to date with new X1 meets. Also, warning and ban list now has people for the X1 so keep an eye on those!

Wow, it's been a while!

I'm slowly but surely reviving this thread. Sadly, no meets announced but I'm going to put up times in my agenda once again for people to find when good meets are taking place. Friends of the past are also going to start hosting but I'm also going to start joining random Xbox One car meets and see which one is worth it. I'd also like to announce that I'm one of the recent additions to the The Van Society and I'll hopefully aid them in starting up the Xbox side of that amazing group. It's a group I've always been jealous of and looked up to and to have an active role in setting up their Xbox meets is just unbelievable. I plan to start my own meets up as well as juggle Offroad All Stars and Van Society meets. This won't be in effect for a while, though, as I'm still strapped for money and looking for a new Turtlebeach headset. I've made some progress with Hammyy's recent car meet, though. I also plan to keep this thread active with random meets with a touch of Tick meets - maybe I'll grow comfortable with the headset I have right now to the point of hosting Minigame Night (which I've made new games for!).

As time goes on I'll focus on this thread once again and offer a place for those wanting dedicated car meets. I've seen the X1 meets as of late and they're scaring me. The rules some hosts make are just inhuman (no talking in meets). So yeah, let's see how this goes with the new console and its potential on making great pics, vids and good times.

Your name does ring a bell! Still got feedback & pics from my early meets in my first post so I could definitely check. I got my X1 like half a year ago so I'm definitely overdue at hosting a meet.

I see you've joined Van Society! Glad you're aboard. It's something I'd like to make happen for Van Society: an Xbox One meet. Just imagine how cool it's gonna be and you'll be in the first Xbox meets. Exciting!
