The rat loader came with no bed at one stage after an update aswel cause R* messed up the code. I have my bedless ones still and it can also be removed in LSC with a glitch. I can find a link if you want it.

 

Nah, I'm only keeping that one for it's rarity. I never drive the thing and my intention is to keep them reasonably unchanged from how I found them.

 

Also, I'm PS4, so it would take a miracle to make it to one of your meets. Sorry.

I'm glad you had interest in joining and I'm quite bummed that I won't get to see your cars. Thanks for sharing, though. Really fascinating how many things are different on the newer consoles.

The next "event" I'll do is a meet as I got two ideas in the works. But yeah, Outkast did an amazing video - just scared that his video will put pressure on me to do another minigame night! It's THAT good.

Hey guys, so it's been way too long since my last "real" meet - been doing those minigame nights instead. This one is a meet, trust me. It's got a theme, we'll vote/cruise, we'll kill gang members and we'll do actual field testing as a bonus! Interested? Check the first post for the theme and what to expect but the meet, at the moment, is still CLOSED as I'm unsure of the date. I'm looking at around next Friday (29th), around those parts. Please do NOT sign up yet as I will refuse you. Will only accept once it's open so keep an eye on my signature for when it's clear to post your gamertag, mic status and if you understand the theme. Added you guys! Fixed times for the (Sun.) Sunday players. So I tried joining random meets to get some new players instead of the regulars in as I love meeting new people. Not many meets going on, turns out - only meet I joined tonight out of the 5 possible was the most strict meet I've ever been to. So I'll try again tomorrow night if something is going down in the Find A Meetup section. It would be great if you guys could invite your mates/friends over here. A mic is required but conversations aren't. It's simply to cross that trust barrier - hopefully you can feel at ease and realize that we're all friends. But I don't pressure ANYONE to talk. I used to be like you; very shy and scared of saying something stupid. I'm a totally different person than what I was in high school. You know what I would do during lunch time? I would go to the library and chat with the librarian. And not the hot type - this one had 3 cats and I knew their whole f*cking life because of her. On here, though? I realized that it's way more enjoyable to crack joke with like-minded people while playing a game. I honestly wish that you can crack from your shell and explore your inner confidence.

Of course! Added to both reserve lists. Anyone else interested in being put on reserve - no worries as I can add spots (seeing as I only have 2 slots for each at the moment).

 

I'm glad that many of you are joining both meets! I'm also thrilled that I'll be having wank & Poison, which I believe will be new to my meet. If not - I'm sorry as I have a very bad memory. But I love meeting new people so that's great.

 

Outkast brought a good point while discussing with him: the S.E.X meet will be in the "cruise 'n games" format that I enjoy very much from Yello; we cruise to each event. I'm hoping I can put my own twist on it and see what works best in this scenario. If the format does work for me, you can thank Yello for inspiring me.

I've got a few things going on so this won't happen until my meets are cleared up but I've been thinking of something for the past day or so. I recently joined a meet that I'm still reeling from on how strict it was and I got word that this group, which I do not want to name and that I urge anyone here to not look up to avoid conflicts, is holding a very "realistic" and strict meet. Why do I care about this? Well they're passing themselves off as car meet hosts and seeing the lack of say from attendees blows my mind. Why would anyone join a meet where suggestions get you kicked/banned? So I've been thinking of making a meet where ANY car is permitted. Want to show up in a tank? Go for it. Hey, you want to fly a chopper? Go right ahead. I will then ask, in this thread (a few days before the meet) for players to think of things we could do. I'll be taking suggestions; something this group that I speak of know nothing about.

 

So what do you guys think of a meet where you all decide what happens? Would this be something that would interest you? Where you had a say in what cars we'd be driving and what things we'd be doing? Where your input, may you know me personally or we've never meet - regular or outsider - have the same input power as everyone else? Where you always wanted to do something in a meet but never got to experience it? Please let me know.

I (personally) think it would be nice to have your ideas executed as is in a meet. Now when you say You all I think (well assume) it would mean that everyone would be ok in a way to go ahead with the suggestion. Not entirely sure whether everyone would be on the same page on that front.

Like when you say Get any car then people would get their fastest & flashiest (F&F) ride. Good for pictures and for drag racing but if someone else suggested we had to go off-roading then the off-roaders would trump them. So I am not entirely sure on how that would work

 

Honestly I feel what you do as a host is just right. Yes you could listen to suggestions and go ahead with them if they are in the best interest of the lobby but then again I feel it would put you in a very difficult position. Another example: I have the worst ideas most of the time and I do not mind getting rejected for them from time to time or even all the time by you as you are focused on how my ideas would affect your Meet, but I doubt there would be many others like me who would take rejection well. Shoot there are times I hate getting rejected but that never happens now cause I do not give suggestions. I mean what's there to reject if it ain't there eh? kidding but I hope you get the point I am trying to make.

 

I look at it this way. I go into a restaurant because of the food they make there and not because I want them to cook a specific item that I have in mind. (Dam I have been watching too much Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares!)

Personally i like a bit of structure to a meet. This might sound crazy but in my job i have to tell people what to do all of the time so i enjoy pitching up at a meet with an understanding of what to expect. Whether that's a theme, car class of whatever. It's my turn to sit back and let someone else run the show and i love it.

 

Thinking of the bigger picture, a host needs suggestions and inputs to make meets better. Mid session can be inappropriate as some people on thinking the host is 'losing the session' could take the piss and go off piste, potentially ruining it for all. So suggestions should be PM'd unless you know the host and the lobby.

No one on GTA is a professional car meet host. No one has a diploma in 'GTA car meet hosting' so to be totally closed to suggestions is arogant and probably a good way to end up with an empty lobby. (I won't search to find out what meet ot was)

 

In summary tick.....don't change your meets.
