I usually ask for the person to sign up themselves as it shows they've read the theme so I would normally put him on the Extras but seeing I know the guy and the guy below didn't add he had a mic, Cynister is added to the list (as well as you).

The meet is tomorrow and everyone that's signed up (as well as the extras) have been notified on Xbox LIVE. Invites are sent out 10 minutes before meeting time. When meeting time comes around and you aren't online, your spot will be taken by a player on the extras list. This is gonna be synchronized to the minute. I'm hoping there won't be a situation where we wait around (I'll try to avoid that). If all goes well this should take 40-60 minutes. Remember to dress the part!

Seeing how I'm trying to enforce a "show up on time" rule, you'll sadly lose your spot to an extra. If you can get online before the meet time your spot will still be open but if not it's gonna go to someone else. Please message me your timezone and the hours/days you usually game and will try to do my next meet with that in mind as I have a few others that can't join due to my meets being 6PM EST all the time.

as a valued member of the poo poo plumbers team (the uk's largest branded plumbing company) i would like to thank you for the opportunity provided by your meet to expand and market our operations in the los santos area. While we found the terrain was not ideally suited to our company vehicles, we did find the been in the presence of the many other local handymen very pleasant, and you should all be proud if the wide selection of tools great and small that we're on display. We are however concerned with the loss of one of our purple trucks, it appears we spent that much on company branding that we had no further cash in the pot for insurance.

Feedback:
Read the feedback for my previous meets and you'll see how well I know my meets. I know how I f*ck up and I criticize myself constantly. This meet was a f*cking buffet for my own self-esteem. Let's start, for a change, with what went wrong, shall we? First off, some people that signed up didn't show which annoys me to no end. If you sign up you make sure to be available for that time and date. Not only was the guy online - he was playing Call of Duty. CALL OF DUTY! I'm ashamed to know him. Then a few players got dropped over and over which is the fault of no one but it still sucks. After that there was some hill-climbing issues and that's when I knew my meet was screwed when some players couldn't make it up as easily as I had (in a slightly tuned Sadler). Lastly, the minigame, the thing I was most excited about, failed horribly partly due to me not testing it fully and the cloud servers not working after the first round. I feel worst than a Belieber after reading Justin Bieber pissed in a mop bucket. But as I tried in the past I'm really glad that my meet failed. Why? Keep reading.

This meet was great as I met some awesome people (Phoenix and Sam of Blades most notably) and they were all supportive. No one was impatient or mean, they were all great! They let me took a lot of pictures and while I don't like my own way of hosting (like hearing your own voice on a tape recorder), they were happy to do all of my planned activities. Lastly, they tested my minigame. Seeing it was set in a Content Creator deathmatch and I prefer to keep things a surprise I had no one to test it with. Those at my meet tested it for me and I now know how to fix it. Thanks to everyone and while I want to excuse myself for such a bad meet, I want to thank you instead for giving ME a good time. Hopefully you had a good time too. I do set my standards high especially for my meets so don't bother with kind words. I try to improve myself despite years of meet experience but at the end of the day you have a good meet or a bad one no matter how good of a host you are. So again...thanks. It means a lot to have a full lobby and everyone was so nice to one another. GTA is truly shaping up to a near-perfect game because of you lot.

Hello and welcome to the Youtool Sponsored Event on the hunt for finding the best handyman Los Santos has to offer! I'm your host Harold Hansjob and I'll be chronicling the whole event.

Handyman Sam of Blades got my vote for "Best Dressed" - that man looks like he could build a house out of bricks, a smoking pipe and disappointment!
*Sam won "Vehicle most likely to be driven by a real handyman". Congrats!*


We were told De was a young handyman straight from Texas. When shaven his voice actually cracks, "Hee~Eeeey GuuUUuuiiiSSssseee!"


Oaken casts a dark shadow and a stern look, "I was in the Navy for 30 years and I can tell you how to kill thirty two birds with no stones. I'm handy with a hammer as well as a combat knife."
*Oaken won "Best of Show" and gets a private photoshoot for doing so. Congrats!*


Outkast was the only Hispanic Handyman at the event, "ay Señor Hansjob, see those rims, esse? They were paid by mowing lawns and sleeping with married women."


EXPOSED66 had half a truck as most of his money went towards buying a new hat, "look, it's got a gold sticker on it!"


vW Freak looks like a normal guy but on closer inspection we found traces of blood in the bed of his car. When questioned, he said, "relax! It's ketchup from this very remote restaurant I know. Actually, jump in and I'll take you for a bite....you look tasty enough."


Jamesyboy had a car accident earlier but luckily his fabulous hair saved him from any injuries. "Shiiiiit, I'm a handyman because I look fab when dirt-tay. Bring all the dirt you have, big boy!"


Phoenix showed the rest that a handyman could be a lady - she then spat taco and arm-wrestled everyone, "I'll fight you and yo momma! BRING IT, FANNY PACK!"


jwood forgot the theme but luckily he was ready for a gang shootout taking place next week:


Steve literally spent a full minute trying to face the camera. I gave up so here's the result:


While waiting for other handymen to show up, YouTool helicopter pilot Hank E. Pahnky took some pictures of the event:

Speaking of American; meatloaf (Lawd) showed up. "Call me meatloaf again and I'll shoot you! I swear I'll-wait, I gotta go check up on my meatloaf. Be right back."


Professional handyman Cynister is world-known for his mustache and building the world's biggest bed for your mom. Youtool was proud to have such a celebrity that we gave him a hammer.
*Cynister won "Best Dressed Handyman" with those suspenders and 'stache. Congrats!*


"Okay, okay, I get it. I won best dressed. Now get your foot out of the man's chest and off my truck!"


This man named Raptor arrived at the event and quickly pointed out that he had super-glued an owl mask to his head. The event hadn't started yet he was in last place for Los Santos Best Handyman:


G Money spent his hard-earned handyman money on a new truck only to realize he didn't have a bed to put his wood in. Being a handyman he found a solution by using your mom's bed to put his wood in. HE-YO! Second yo momma joke! Harold Hansjob is on fiiiiire!


We cruised down the road to a small dirt circle and took some pictures while waiting for other players who were dropped. Here's the results:

"Man, what the f*ck is this story about?"


An impromptu race was set up right after drinking a few beers. Some handymen weren't drunk, others were drunk as a skunk but all were late for work. We raced to the Mile High Club to get there in time. Oaken won the race and got a good tip from it, too. Congrats!

Like any handyman, we just had to nail one another using our pelvis. Thanks to all for showing up and sticking with the theme!



About the minigame:
While it didn't work out as planned, it did work on some level. It was initially 3 rounds (best of 3) and the premise was set in a deathmatch in the YouTool parking lot. The parking lot was divided in two by barriers (not too high so the other side can be seen) and two teams had 3 cars:

Blue team had a blue Prius, blue minivan and pink supercar.
Red team had the same cars but red as well as the pink supercar.

Those cars represented cars a handyman would hate:

An electric car.
A family vehicle.
A beautiful car ruined by the color pink.

Each team spawned with a crowbar and had a baseball bat and golf club near their spawn to use. They would then bash the vehicle until it exploded. After that they would run across the highway (traffic on) and jump in the bed of an empty dump truck (beds would have rubble in them so 10 trucks were placed as they would randomized the beds - empty or full). The whole team needed to be in the bed of the truck to declare they were done. Host would check the cars and make sure everyone was in the bed of the truck.

Now it didn't go as planned as the Prius can't blow up...and despite resorting to the dump trucks, any of the 3 cars didn't blow up. I decided to set a new rule: melee the car so much that you can't enter it anymore (which works - if a car is so messed up you can't enter it). But then R* cloud servers stopped working...so much for a minigame.

Thanks to all for testing it, though. I promise to fix it and make it more interesting next time!

F**kin' A! I had a great time as always. Hanging with the regulars like De, Steve, Lawd, GMoney, Oaken, jwood... Glad to see 2 other dudes back at this meet after a while - AlliDidWasWin and Freak as well and 2 others from a previous meet i attended that being Phoenix and Cynister. Great group and we all had fun without hickups and/or f**kups. The only issue was my dam internet connection that kept disconnecting. I don't know whether it was an issue from the R* servers or my local ISP.

 

The uphill climb was fun and i was quite surprised with how far my Picardo could go. I know there was another dude in the same car and i would like to ask him if he ran into issues while climbing up the hill? I did have an issue whilst going up on the steeper sections of the hill but overall i did manage to get right up to the top with the rest of the guys. Gotta say Thanks to Lawd for helping the others from rolling back down the hill and pushing them up as best as he could. Great guy! (thumbs up)

 

About the meet (the real feedback). I think it was nicely done. Especially enjoyed the mini game (the 1st one as i had to leave for work when the second was gonna start) The end of the mini game was by far the most fun i had at this meet as we all got down to knocking each other's brains out i laughed so hard with the whack Phoenix laid on me. That was a one shot kill (Salutes Phoenix). I liked how everyone was beating on the car with their bats and crow-bars (no pun intended) So in tune with the theme Tick (thumbs up)

Anyway, glad you enjoyed yourself and everyone else. I do plan to make a minigame-only night with 2-3 minigames that I've had on the back catalog to make up for last night. Will look into a date when all the upcoming meets (Steve, De's & Phoenix) are done.
