THIS IS NOT A MEET - just a random lobby.

Random lobby was a success! I had tons of fun and met two cool new guys; JamesR94 and DontBanCooter, and had the usuals show up; DeInEm, Ronster, Slime, Cooper, Dan Akroyde, Lawd (Meatloaf), Ferrari, DrFeelGood, and Cynister. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone. Oh, there was this Sam of Blades but he didn't have a mic and I just couldn't form an opinion on him because of that. Real cool how he followed instructions, though. Typical meet rules applied (no killing, etc.) despite this being a random lobby. We started off by riding BMX's, went offroading, drove boats in the dam, drag racing at the airport and then screwed around. I got a few pics from Slime5555 as my pics were full so thanks to him for that.

I love meeting new people and playing with the usuals - sometimes I want to get away from car meets. Every time I'm in a lobby someone messages me "invite to meet", like it's not the only thing that I do! So this chill session, while stressful at times (an argument or two rose), it really calmed me and prepared me for Friday so thanks for that, guys.

Very nice of you! Here's what I'll do instead; if the 16 players that signed up do show up I'll be making the same meet the next day (or next Friday at the same time) and those on the extra list will have a reserved spot. We'll see how it goes first of all and then I will plan accordingly.

 

Everyone that signed up (players + extras) have been sent a message on Xbox LIVE.

I even tried using all three mics i have. I figure let someone else join rather than me cause a hassle. Really hope i can fix it soon i hate missing your meet. I also wont be hosting any meets till i get it fixed. This suck cuz i have something really big planned but can do it till my stupid mic is fixed! Anyway hope tomorrow goes good! It will probably take place Saturday (unlikely as I don't do meets on weekends) or next Friday.

 

I suggest removing system cache as a solution. I'll look around the forum and edit this post if I find anything.

Muscle Car Rehab

Feedback:
With no sleep from the night before as I'm an insomniac and a yard work-loaded day, I felt a big headache coming my way and I just refused to eat as I felt a knot in my stomach. In all the meets I've done I never felt nervous before a meet as much as this one - I guess it got to me as people were telling me how excited they were for this one and I was worried I couldn't live up to the hype. From the feedback I got people apparently had a great time and so did I but I can't help but see my mistakes. First off, I think this was the most stern I was in a meet. I was demanding for pictures at the start, I didn't keep track of players leaving/messaging me as much as I usually do as I was concentrating on the pictures. The drag portion was a full-blown test and the first part of it was just disorganized. Luckily, the group and I found a sweet way to drag race which you'll see below. Nearing the end of the meet, 6-8 players were left and we had a great time. I don't think Ron laughed this much since the day he went to the zoo and saw two giraffes doing it.

I would definitely want to do this type of meet again - a theme, instructions and the new drag racing method. What would I change? Well, I'd have supper before the meet as I felt like sh*t for most of it and I can't help but hate myself when I demand stuff from players. Keep in mind, though, that what I focus on is:

1 - players have a good time.
2 - pictures look good. I'm a photographer more than a host as of late.

There was a bit of waiting at some parts but I like to think we had a tight schedule. Very swift meet for the first bit but I just didn't feel the flow of it until later on. I know I beat myself up a lot but I just didn't feel the first part of the meet. I saw the true potential when we started doing the special drag racing. That's when I felt the whole lobby connected. Thanks to those that joined and with my theme already picked for the next one, expect it to be soon. Seriously, hosts are nothing without players and the ones I had for this meet, each and everyone of them, were super cool and make me who I am. You guys are the true stars in these pics, the true hosts of meets and the true word on the forum. With that said, once again, thank you! I appreciate and enjoy the time I spend with you all and while I'm bummed I didn't get to meet new faces, I had a blast with the usuals. I would like to apologize for those that wanted in or had mic issues and I wasn't helpful/paying enough attention to them. Please understand that as host I have a lot to worry about and I had to focus on the matters currently taking place - those in the lobby. Overall; great meet and near perfect. Just need to do a few adjustments and I'm sure I can milk this theme idea to death. Seriously, I'll have billboards about it.
