On the same sequences (part of the video), you can see that the drivers are online characters, and that they are wearing the new green pilot outfit (both male and female!) but without the helmet.

 

But both pilot outfit and helmet pretty much confirmed for both male and female.

 

There is also the sequences where they shows the new parachutes that shows onine characters wearing these new items.

I suppose the helmet is either classed as a helmet or a mask.

I suggested option to use nation flags on parachutes several months ago in an email to Rockstar. Others probably did as well.
