They're fine the way they are. Its takes about 3-5sec of constant rounds on target to blow up another heli.

You would think that the added military jets should be a prelude to an Independence Day alien invasion battle. If R* was smart, this would be very fun. And in the DLC they let us fly alien ships too for 8 Jets vs 8 Spaceships mission.
