First car I owned was a 79 Pinto Runabout (and about the one your picturing too, faded yellow, one taillight was from a different year, wrecked quarter panel, snap-n-shine hubcaps, but it did have the 'Rally' package suspension for some unknown reason for a base trim car. Rust in pieces little buddy, you will always be remembered) so I'd be partial to something based off one of them. Also: Omni/Horizons, Chevettes, Festivas, Escorts, Cavaliers, Golfs, Beetles (old and new, I'd prefer old but know many would want new), throw a Miata based car in and watch all the unoriginal Jalopnik reading 'hoonigans' go nuts, the list can go on forever. Small cars can be tons of fun if done right...

I love your taste man. I am a big VW enthusiats (Own a mk6 GTI irl). So it would be awesome to have a R32 and a R in gta. I would prefer the R32 over the R only for the V6 sound. The R32 is so much fun to drive irl, turn the music volume down and enjoy the sound haha.

 

Also nice to see that many of you want a GTI in GTA!.

It should have the cheapest insurance for a non-rusty car in the game and an often spawner, making it the perfect first car (like RL) for people who have just popped into LS after losing the race against Lamar and others.

 

For people unfamiliar with the car, it's a 1998 Ford Fiesta MK4 1.25 (possibly an LX trim).
