GTA.SA Crashing/Black screen after Loading a New Game.

I have the CD version of the game, downloaded it, loaded the game and pressed "new game". It finished loading and it went to a black screen. No buttons work, only ctl, alt delete. I uninstalled the game and installed it 5 times. Deleted .sat file, still no good, I even downloaded a pirated version of the game, ran it and crashed at the exact same time, I have no saved games but I had the game before and modded it Car mods. The intro works and the music plays, but after the loading screen it turns black, no audio.

To be clear,: You installed the game from the DVD.

You never had the game installed on this computer before.

You DID NOT install any mods before trying to run the game.

You do not have Windows 8.

Your machine meets these requirements:

Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP processor (or better)

 384(+) MB of RAM

 16x DVD-ROM drive (or download)

 4.7 GB of free Hard Disk space for a full install

 128(+) MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce4" or better)

 DirectX 9 compatible Surround Sound Card

 Game pad** with twin axis analog controls (USB or Joystick Port)

 Keyboard & Mouse

first time i installed was dvd, played it, modded it with cars. uninstalled it cuz it was bugging out. 8 moths later ( today ) , installed it dvd, and crashed at after loading screen, uninstalled it and downloaded a pirated one of pirate bay. with crack. Played it and crashed after loading screen.

this happening for all savegames i.e. newly created ones as well? Is the ESC menu option accessible when the screen is black?

It seems like a case of conficting installed mods. Delete the mods you think are behind this or make a fresh install.

For any such issues,follow the below checklist.

1. Make a clean install

2. Delete the settings file.

3. Try compatibility modes.

4. Run as Administrator.

5. Disable Win 7 themes/styles.

6. Disable/Delete all mods installed.

7. Lower graphics settings to lowest.

8. Try disabling your antivirus.

9. Update your graphics drivers.
