Good ways to increase the flying stat?

Now before this turns into a "OMG U SUX YOLOSWAG" fiesta let me say this, I CAN fly, very well at that, but the reason for my making this thread is because of my OCD with the stat bars. Seeing as all my stats except strength (was max, but seems to keep decreasing for some dumbf**k reason :/) are max, it's really irksome to see my flying stat on only 3 and a half bars :(

So here's the question: what's the best "beneficial" way to raise it to max? And by that I mean in a way that can contribute to others in a way other than simply flying a lazier and doing strafed on others PV's on a douche :/

I appreciate any help provided :)

Oh and to all you "this thread doesn't belong here" kinda posters, let me get things straight. I really couldn't give a Sh!t what YOU say. If the thread NEEDS to be moved, a mod will handle it. So I don't need any stupid and annoying WBM's loitering a fairly reasonable thread topic :/

Do missions like CCO II & III, Trash Talk, Defender, On Maneuvers, Mixed up with coke, Los Santos Connection etc..... All these missions are executed efficiently with the use of the Buzzard. You will be ranking up, increasing your flying stat and making tons of smackaroos in the long run.

flying

Straight to the point eh?

Well seeing as it's 10 minutes of flying = 1% increase on the bar, and I have about 30% left to go... Yeah just randomly flying around for no reason for 5 hours seems like quality time spent :)

I remember I just made an invite-only freemode lobby and flew up really, really high and rubber banded my analog and put something against the throttle trigger so I would just fly around in a circle while I watched TV, went from half full to maxed in about an hour and a half.

Aerial kills (see mission list above) and successful landings and winning/doing air races.

Just take off and then land(successfully) for a couple of times and it should increase.

Can you be more specific? Do I need to come to a complete stop? Do I need to reach a certain altitude before I come back down to land?

Or can I just go full speed and bounce the landing gear off the runway over and over?

yeah agree with above. take off and land as much as possible. I got my up very sharpish in a invite only take off on one runway land on the other. repeat and rinse. Main airport btw.

What GTA-Freak-Vi said. I got my Flying skill maxed out relatively quickly by repeatedly taking off and landing with a plane, on the runway at Sandy Shores Airfield. Just be gentle with taking off and landing (botching your landings/take-offs by smacking the wings, front or tail end of the plane against the ground doesn't seem to increase the stat).

Nope, you don't need to reach a certain altitude for this. Just use the main airport in LS as said above since its easier there. Doesn't matter how you take off as long as you land carefully without hitting something

Winkingskeever6 is spot on

The point is you're not supposed to find a cheap way of increasing the stat as quickly as possible. But rather to play the game and the stat reflects the amount of time you have put into said activity. You are what is wrong with the game.

Hmm... Out of the hundreds of god mode glitchers, hackers, 10000's of trolls and squeakers, and an unknown large amount of money glitchers and more, I, a legitimate player with 60 hours of online gametime alone, who simply doesn't want to have to spend 5 HOURS flying pointless circles around the map just to fill up a star bar, is the main thing wrong with this game?

GTFO!!!

You guys sure they didn't patch it? I've been taking off and landing for the past 10 minutes and my bar has increased like a single pixel, which I would expect that much just out of flying normally.

i just flew around while doing other things, like robbing all stores to get the award etc, and just flew around randomly.

had two bars left to get and was sick of that, so done the rubber band thing for the last 2 bars.

FWIW I would use aircraft with retractable landing gear if possible. Lowering and raising the landing gear seems to help a little bit as well. I've leveled up several characters lately and it seems it's not taking as long and this is the only difference I can think of.

Unless R* has unknowingly made it easier or certain aircraft level you up faster

My favorite way is to steal a jet from the base... outrunning the 4star wanted level seems to speed this up. You can go back and keep doing that but I prefer flying around (not griefing others) and land the thing wherever I looks like I might be able to (Vesbuchi Beach, the freeway, LSI Airport) maybe even try landing it on the maze bank helipad.... when it blows up just go back and get another

Kinda off topic but does the strength stat really decrease or is that just some sort of glitch happening to OP?

I recently maxed it out and I never wanna have to play golf again to get it back up does anybody know for sure?

It's an intended feature; all of your stats decrease if you don't log onto GTA Online for x amount of days/weeks/months. Strength and Lung Capacity are the first ones to be decreased by about 1%, then I believe Flying and Driving get decreased by 1% after further inactivity... and after every stat sees a percentage decrease, the process restarts itself, beginning again with Strength and Lung Capacity being decreased yet again.

I do believe that winning air races increases the stat rather well.

Winning Jet or Buzzard DMs should do the trick as well.

If you're worried about having the stat bar maxed so that you can fly.. why not just fqing fly to get it up. There's basically no turbulence online, either pilot a buzzard and have a friend passenger rain hell on idiots, or just.. fqing fly. It isn't hard, and 5 hours is nothing if you're worried about flying. Jesus christ. I have 59 hours in aircraft without even trying and i rarely even play. And that's low. qq 5 hours boo fqing hoo.
