R* should add flares to non-combat planes

Considering most people rely heavily on the missiles and can't shoot for sh*t with the cannons, i think this would be a great addition to have for the unarmed planes.

That is actually not a bad idea. You could shoot out flares for every 20 seconds so damn jets don't shoot you down with their missile spamming.

Because the rendering distance is total bullsh*t on the old consoles.

They should keep the explosive cannons until PS4/Xbox one/PC GTA V.

Nice idea OP but R* won't implement this.

On a side note we should be able to throw flares that we get from air strikes by selecting then in the weapon wheel. Would be great in the middle of the ocean or no where when a friend is trying to find you.

I want hand thrown flares like coloured smoking ones so i can flag stuff on the map for friends and leave the area.

 

Would also be useful in death matches to flag where guys are camping.

Well the (A on Xbox) or (X on PS3) buttons are pretty useless on non combat planes anyway so having flares wouldn't hurt anyone, plus they already in the game, NPC jets from Fort Zancudo can use them

He has a point about growing some balls though OP. You have absolutely NO right to enjoy playing a game that you bought. Do some research kid and search out what flares actually do before talking rubbish - they are more than lights

Interestingly El Al the Israel national airline does in fact fit is commercial airliners with flares and other missile countermeasures. I would love to have flares, but maybe they should only be on military aircraft such as the titan and cargobob.

 

Also hand thrown flares with different coloured smoke would be useful to indicate to team mates dropzones, targets etc.

Flares could be useful.

 

Though, if you ever play defender, the way the buzzards rockets sometimes randomly shoot off in the wrong direction is almost as if they used a flare, so really I think R* could easily hook into that "miss" system when using flares to have the same effect.

I could get behind this, I'd love to have some hand tossed flares for dropzones and sh*t.
