Martial arts DLC concept thread

I think it might be time for a new thread too be created so it doesn't get lost in the wish list thread.

There are people on this forum that put a lot of time and effort into these posts.

Martial art dlc concept

Accessed via weapon wheel using a symbol for the style.

Multiple styles too begin with.

1. Aikido

2. Karate

3. Jujitsu

Each would have a new skill bar, as well as new control modes when active.

New fighting animations, with moves and counter moves, grapples, and killing moves.

New weapons include katana, brass knuckles, throwing knives, chain.

Accessory additions, gun holster multiple types that layer over clothing when a gun is not in use it shows, inside holster. If you bought say shoulder sling sniper, then it would appear on your back.

The eye patch, because everyone wants too look like a pirate, Nick fury, or Elle from kill Bill.

The trench coat, both male and female with various colorations. Open or closed depending on the interaction menu.

New location open; maze bank arena is now open since fame or shame is filming elsewhere. This space is now free too customize too your liking.

We now have interior customization; works perfect with your apartment or the maze bank arena. We've added everything from ladders too platforms, and guess what lighting matters now since we've added a darkness slider, those flashlights might just come in handy. Of course you could just use a light fixture. Functioning doors as well. As a bonus we implemented a stacking feature for certain objects like containers, ramps which you can increase or decrease in size.

This would make that a little bit more interesting.

I keep seeing these threads get locked

That's fine but couldn't a thread be made so at least they won't get buried in the wishlist thread. Was hoping that a moderator might like that, instead of just locking a thread.

I agree, but every attempt to do this, ends up being locked

I think DLC concepts are distinct enough wish list items to warrant a new thread.

There should be an epic mission where you have to actually use these skills! It would be like Enter the Dragon, my favorite Bruce Lee movie. You would have to go to a location, sneak in, take out the bad guys (on Hard difficulty, some of them will have guns) and then you fight the main boss!

No thanks. We already have problems with the current melee system already.

This is Grand Theft Auto, not Sleeping Dogs. Martial Arts are no match for a speeding bullet aimed directly at your head. You cannot dodge a bullet. By the time you hear the bang, it's too late. The bullet has already sprayed your brains all over the asshole behind you. This DLC concept has no place in GTA.

To be honest, the random customization of interiors doesn't fit the martial arts theme at all.

A martial arts DLC with no Gi? That's blasphemy.

This isn't a DLC concept, it is a wish list

Dlc concepts are a wish list, true. Though the ones that are written well with a package them might need a better sorting is all.

Even if includes oh say pictures with say oriental calligraphy? A decent upgrade in the way we build and set things up for platforms etc...

Have you ever heard of the oriental art of fung shui it is about the effects of environment on chi.

Muay Thai kickboxing for the win!!!! The most versatile standing up striking martial art out there also known as the art of the eight limbs. Nothing is off limits such as using fists, knees, shins, elbows..you name it.

I've played Animal Crossing so I know what feng shui is lol.

I'm just saying it still seems out of place, and even if that is applied, the Maze Bank being opened makes no sense either.

Maybe if there was a new dojo or something in Little Seoul.

Also, you said nothing about those things about oriental calligraphy and art in the OP, so my argument was valid.

Just add different figting styles like there was from GTA San Andreas

it would atleast make our characters a bit more unique

I like the idea but karate is a tad underpowered compared to Aikido, Muay Thai, Thai Chi and of course Krav Maga...not an orient martial art, bt an Israeli. The thing is, lots of countries have their own self defence techniques...they would have to implement a lot for it to be a good feature and not to feel just stuck on. Also I practise 'Hard-Body' techniques...the fact my character can get knocked out so easily is a joke...that would need changed too for it to be worth fighting. Also bring back the knock-outs from RDR...i dont want to respawn from a fist fight, its stupid.

You do realise that would be a totally different game, though, right?
*MAYBE* Next Gen. 'Maybe'
