What's your opinion on GTA YouTubers?

Um,I'm a GTA Online YouTuber and I don't do any of the bad, stupid or crazy crap I have seen in this topic.

I make videos showing how to do certain things in the game. Like how to do missions for example.

For me it adds an element of fun. I always do them solo too.

I do it because when I first started (on PS3) I liked the game but couldn't get any help because most people forgot what it was like starting out and once they got experience they thought their sh*t didn't stink and wouldn't help noobs.

 

Not to mention that in spite of this in my opinion being an awesome game it does have it's overpopulation limits of morons and zero gamers. Don't get me started on the snot nosed text warriors either. lol.

 

I just joined this forum today hoping to find good gamers who just want to play the game like I do without all the drama, stupidity and idiocy associated with the braindead people who seem to make up the majority of this game player base.

I've recently started my own GTA channel for the purpose of engaging my creative side. I have always loved making movies (in high school, I made stop motion movies with my home video camera and action figures) and so the Rockstar Editor gives me a great outlet for turning my game play into a narrative. Right now though, my primary audience is the gaming group that I joined. I don't really try to do "how to" videos or "secrets in GTA" type of videos because there already seems to be an over-saturation of that and I don't want to add to it. I make the videos that I enjoy and that I want to make and if others enjoy it, that's great.

With that being said, my favorite GTA videos are the ones by the Neebs Gaming team. Their banter keeps me laughing the whole time and I really enjoy their more cinematic videos.

 

The videos that I can't stand are the ones where people are just being stupid. I'm not talking about crazy stunts or running around punching random NPCs, but those who are just sitting around running their mouths about nothing in particular, cursing every other word for reason, and not doing anything remotely entertaining.

Reading that R* is implementing new anti-cheat methods, and they are hitting people in the worst ways.

Been reading about people not being able to spend money they earned in the game (not cheated). Could be different reasons.

Seriously, WTF?!

Looks like what actually did him in is over 5 Billion dollars in modded money that someone "gifted" him on PC many months ago, he repeatedly requested Rockstar to remove it but they didn't do anything, so he stopped trying, now they perma-banned him for it across all platforms....gee thanks C*, great being so attentive to requests from your users.

Except that he was banned on ALL platforms, and not just on pc. If that would be the reason for his ban, he would have been banned on pc and pc only. Other than that, he stated that he asked c* to remove the cash lots of times. This was a try to stop him saying the truth about c* and take two. This was not automated, someone manually banned all of his accounts on all platforms.

 

Also, his name is broughy, not brohgy.

There's nothing wrong with using singleplayer mods. If he tested unreleased cars online, someone else spawned them for him. He's never run trainers online on his main account.

Also, i'll just say it again, someone else deposited that cheated cash into his pc account a long time ago when that was still possible. And if that was the reason for his ban, only his pc account would be gone. Not ps and xbox ones.

LMAO at all the people here thinking that he got banned because of his views on the game, Rockstar should then just sue the admins of GTAForums for that B&M and the other "lets all hate Rockstar" thread that's floating around in the front page of the GTAO section.

If Rockstar didn't like his views, they'll go after his channel, his twitter page, banning his accounts won't change anything, they do this ALL the time for people showcasing glitches.

 

I respect the guy for the effort that he made into testing cars and informing the community about changes and whatnot so I subscribed to him, then recently he went and joined this "ranting" nonsense instead of sticking to what he does best, and look, I don't mind someone expressing his points on a matter, but that's all what he was doing recently.

 

With that being said, I don't like that he got banned, just as not liking anyone getting banned unfairly, so I hope he gets his accounts back.

Either way, it is bullsh*t that they banned Broughy, though I would honestly be more skeptic of the idea that he got banned because he spoke out negatively against Rockstar, mainly because he's been doing that for ages now- not that he's wrong for the most part. The reason I kinda doubt that's the reason is because Rockstar probably isn't losing any shark card sales because of him, since the vast majority of his fanbase is already firmly anti-shark card. As much as I like the guy, I doubt he has that big of an influence.

 

I'm not saying it's impossible that they banned him for speaking out. I just think it seems a biiit farfetched.

Personally I think it's highly unlikely any manual banning went on with Broughy, it's been fairly common for people to have modded money shoved on them (as Broughy has on PC) then getting banned for it down the line, despite asking Rockstar support to remove it (again, as Broughy did).

 

I also find the idea that he shouldn't make rant videos or even complain about parts of the game baffling. You can still watch his pretty unchanged testing videos, and it's not like he's forcing his opinion on you, so...shouldn't exactly be a problem.

I unsubbed from Broughy too when his channel became more about complaining and boring , repetitive podcasts than actual testing. He still hasn't tested all of the Gunrunning vehicles FFS, let alone the SR aircraft. I am not baiting. I have enjoyed Broughy for threes years up until his recent shift in content.

 

Not cool that he got banned, regardless of my opinion on him. He did openly admit he has modded accounts, so that could well be the reason. Better watch talking so openly about that if you have a well know youtube channel. The only silver lining to this situation is if MRBallsInMyMouthFTW gets banned next, fingers crossed.

Wrong. This was a manual ban. If it was an automated one, he'd only been banned on pc. This is how the system works.

 

 

Also it doesn't matter if he admitted that he's had cheated accounts, one account has nothing to do with another.

No, if you get banned on one platform then you're only banned there. When my friend and i were banned at the end of 2015 on pc, he could still play on ps4 using the same social club account. This was a manual ban, 100% sure.

He just tested the SC1 today. Despite being banned, he still continued what he wanted to do, which is testing. Testing is back, guys, even though he's been perma banned.

 

Now that's dedication! Can't complain about that.
