What's your opinion on GTA YouTubers?

I am proud of the fact that I know less than 90% of the youtubers mentioned.

The vast majority are carbon copies of each other.

>Sees someone doesn't like his content

>Gets mad over something that was said over the Internet

>insults someone else, claiming they have a "sad life"

I was able to deal with DomisLive when he was the big problem, so I'm not worried about you getting butthurt.

When I said you received a shirt, it was regarding the crosswalk T-shirt, henc why I said "in their greedy online service." I never called you a piece of sh*t, or a mongoloid, or an idiot - however I said say that your content is sh*tty. You are a sh*tty YouTuber in my opinion.

I didn't lie. That's funny coming from you! That drama with you, Dirty Worka and his associate all falls on you and them being petty. By partaking in it, you are stirring the pot. It is hilarious that you deny that you are partly to blame for that nonsense. And let's not forget your video attacking some guy because he was critiquing aspects of GTA Online after the release FAFF.

If anybody is upset over this stupidity, it's you. You chose to reply to me, with such hostility, instead of ignoring my post or asking for an explanation politely. You care about this topic, you got your panties in a bunch, you can't handle when someone dislikes your content.

Go ahead and rely on twitter, because you know your sheep or fans will support you, and that's fine - but you still got mad because someone on a website said something that wasn't exactly pleasant about you, similar to other YouTubers who have posted here before.

Have a good day!

@ragedandcaged I wish I was so lucky.

What does GTA V/O have to do with community drama? I don't know what kind of content you guys are making, but at what point in making a video would you decide to start talking about other people instead of just the game?

Sounds a lot like unnecessary stuff that does nothing but annoy people and cost you viewers! I don't know what happened, genuinely curious what's with all the drama. Some posts here throw around names like they're supposed to be famous people and me not frequenting those sections of youtube means I don't know those people but I find it hard to believe that it's impossible or even slightly difficult to make GTA videos where you just play and talk about the game.

^^ Unfortunately instead of getting along, this community tends to tear itself apart instead of coming together because they enjoy the game.

That is entirely true and one sees evidence of this on the forum here on a daily basis. But more specifically I mean in these videos. When we're talking about GTA videos on youtube and the creators or "youtubers" I'm just thinking of people recording themselves playing the game. Talking about the game. Maybe they're showing a new money glitch, maybe they're comparing vehicles in performance. They could be doing something with their friends, heist missions, challenges, whatever. And a lot of them (in my opinion) will be annoying about it, begging for subscribers, telling people to "smash that like button" and other (to me) childish and obnoxious nonsense.

But still in all of those cases and the FEW videos I've seen, nothing about conflicts and other drama with other people. How the hell could that possibly ever happen? That's basically my question. I see you saying something about a youtuber who apparently is registered here and you both mention stuff about other probably not-so-famous people on the internet who think they're famous and I can't help but wonder how that stuff finds its way into a video about a game.

What I can imagine is that maybe some people like to really talk about the game and the developers. Game design choices, business choices and their opinions on content. I can see people having other feelings, sometimes using strong words and briefly clashing on that. Just curious as to how these rather pathetic sounding feuds and conflicts make it out into the open, why anyone would give a damn unless people go entirely too far and how that doesn't annoy the living crap out of everyone. If I watch someone playing or talking about a game, I don't want to hear about on-going issues with other people that have nothing to do with the actual content of the video. It's pointless and makes the whole experience less enjoyable.

Anyway, to comment on a bit out of Gyps7's last post there: if someone is allegedly talking sh*t about someone else literally for months, I hope that's not the average intelligence level of these GTA "youtubers". I get being upset with people. I even understand hating something or someone. But I cannot understand contaminating your online content with it. Whoever that is, they sound rather sad.

I haven't seen many, but all the ones I've seen are lazy no talent basement dwelling wannabe stars who boast an IQ equivalent to a tree stump. This is my general opinion of YouTube altogether. A gathering place for the most useless to society.

Broughy is the only decent one I've heard of.

Lol - so, the Next DLC Speculation Thread has been unlocked, and:

Quelle surprise. :rol: Translation: "Oh, goody - now I can trawl through this thread again, and use any random conjecture to make a dozen more videos!"

"...and maybe while I'm at it, I can also trawl through the post history of the likes of JoonasPRKL and use their hard work to make my half-assed videos look better with nice thumbnails! Even though I supposedly have that 'Knifeguy' fella listed as 'he makes my thumbnails', despite mainly using stuff by dedicated GTAO pic artists, who've repeatedly complained about me treating their work like free stock images, and never exercising the bare minimum of common courtesty by asking permission first..." :turn:

If someone is using original work from an artist without permission, I think you can report them to youtube (google) and at least get them to change their content? If that person steals from a lot of people and they all report it, that might actually do something. Otherwise he'll learn no lesson and keep on doing it.

Thing is, you can't make a copyright claim if you yourself can't claim copyright on your creations - and as per the R*/Take-Two EULA, any/all user-generated content using their software is automatically and completely licensed to them.

It's a bit simplistic to say 'R* owns your Snapmatic pics' - only in a legal/IP sense. They can't, for instance, order me to wipe them off Flickr, or my hard drive, or whatever. It's ultimately to stop players trying to, say, create stuff using R*'s software, sell it for profit, and then claim legal ownership when challenged - like with the whole Open IV situation, they need to be able to exert control over all aspects of the IP, and that extends to UGC.

So when YouTubers use Snapmatic pics or screenshots by others, without permission, they're basically taking advantage of a technicality: players can't legally defend their creations, i.e. YouTubers can indeed retort 'what are you going to do about it?', because the answer is clearly 'nothing'. :turn: And on top of that, since even rambling voiceover on generic game footage counts as 'original content' on YouTube, YouTubers however can claim copyright on their videos - so to try and leverage a copyright claim based on a thumbnail is effectively trying to argue that the video is 'yours', based on the use of a pic that ...you can't legally claim is yours. Good luck with that! :p

Ultimately, it's one of those things where there's no legal obligation, requirement or incentive for YouTubers to do the right thing and show a little basic respect and courtesy, which isn't great - after all, far too many people will happily get away with being sh*tty if they can get away with it. The only slight thing that folks like GTAO Snapmatic enthusiasts can point to is Take-Two's official stance on the grey area of 'people using other people's UGC':

D9IOdS5.png

(mods: that's from a publicly-shared tweet, and I've doctored it further to remove any personal/contact info from both parties, so posting it here shouldn't be an issue - please say if that's not the case, though!)

In other words, the official (though again, not legally-enforced, obviously) line is that people respect each other's creations - specifically by asking permission first, and then giving credit. Probably good if people take note of that - just swiping pics and then shoving a bare-minimum name-check at the very bottom of the description under the 'Show More' tab' isn't really what Take-Two and R* want people to be doing with other players' creations! ;)

Not going to comment on any Twitter drama.

I had my problems with Gypsy's content. Mainly with his most popular vids. One is "5 Things You Didn't Know..". Title itself is borderline clickbait. But the video was released in 2017 and everything shown in there was well known by the end of 2013. Other one was a rant about I/E payouts, the only recent update with decent payouts. Some other things he bitched about were pretty wrong in my opinion as well. For example, you can fly a Buzzard for a long time and actually grief with it, just takes skill and knowledge. Saying otherwise is simply not right.

However, with the recent Sonny Evans podcast my respect for Gypsy has grown. He might be too negative sometimes, but overall that's better than being too positive. The twitter drama took 3 minutes of a 45 minutes conversation and imho the interview was pretty good. I think it's important to say that considered good YTers are far away from being flawless, can talk sh*t and make sh*tty content, just like everyone else. Everything else is fanboyism and I agree with him about fanboys.

Sucking up R*'s ass is a huge problem for me, because it will make the game worse. I see the purpose of a gaming community in being something like an union. The employee is not supposed to love his employer, he always has to fight for better working conditions. Having workers who are happy regardless of how much sh*t is thrown at them is always a thread to the work of an union. Circlejerking and having the mother of all whores, R*, in the center is not getting us anywhere. Making content and saying everything is "awesome and amazing", like MrBoss used to do it (he actually changed in this regard), is as dangerous as buying Shark Cards. By doing so, you approve a shady business model we'll all suffer from at the end of the day. I'm glad that Gypsy doesn't do that.

I used to enjoy the combination of Gtamen and Gypsy, one being too positive, the other being a bit too negative. Result was usually an enjoyable podcast.

As the game changes, people's opinion about it change. I guess "Hitting the Goldmine" would now rather be "sh*t in the Goldmine". GTA YT is not static, that's one of the few positive things about it in general. One liners like "MrBoss is the cancer of this community" are not correct in mid 2017 anymore, there is a development going on and that's not the worst thing that could happen to this "community".

MrSh*tStainWTF is a real sh*t stain that reporting his videos that go over 10 minutes as spam or misleading isn't extreme enough so I did the extreme myself by reporting his videos as child abuse which sounds far more serious than spammy videos. I hope I don't get banned for a false report

As of late I'm getting insanely annoyed by seeing sernandoe's astronomically cancerous sh*t on my home feed. This might come off a bit extreme, edgy, derogatory or casually racist but this big nosed, curly haired dirty greaseball should have his channel terminated. And maybe his life. Literally. Not joking.

I'm absolutely sick and tired of seeing his cancerous clickbait "GTA 6", fake "easter egg" bullsh*t appearing on my home feed and I'm not subscribed to him, nor have I watched a vid of his but have seen roast videos by NFKRZ, RaggedyDan, Greatness TV that feature sernandoe's videos and the roasts are masterpieces 👌👌

Now let's look at a handful of his cancer, shall we;

First example

gGgghOW.jpg

LOL, no, you moronic dumbass greaseball f*ckhead, the pic on the right not RDR. That's GTA Christmas snow on the same hill. Fail.

oZSXE50.jpg

Funny that, that's a blimp..

TuvGUtz.jpg

Ahhh, yes, the "don't (do something) at (insert location) at (insert time here) (creepy)". Please, kill yourself you scumbag greaseball.

ap2XU9s.jpg

Ah, yep, the fake zoom in, with made up text. Also used as a thumbnail, misleading and goes against youtube ToS

BZLEjNd.jpg

Css2Re5.jpg

p8K94TB.jpg

If I remember correctly, misleading thumbnails and video titles go against Youtube ToS and warrants a channel termination. So, TERMINATE HIS CHANNEL NOW.

Sernandoe, please, I know you browse this forum like every other cancerous GTA youtuber, for the sake of everyone else... f*ck off and die alone.

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

I like GTA Series Videos for their helpful videos like how to make money with gunrunning and bikers. I know nothing about biker businesses I actually didn't even know about the businesses until about a month ago but when I do get a business I know know what to buy and how to make money from it.

I also like Broughy1322 I never knew what cars to use in races other than super and sports and I would always lose but because of his testing videos I am winning more races.

Achievement Hunter can be entertaining. Their racing videos where they constantly ram each out are pretty funny and the funny ways they can screw up a heist.

The other clickbaiting idoits I see in my suggested videos I just ignore I refuse to give them any attention or views.

Wait, what? There's some guy sad enough to actually put "please watch" in the video title? Not that I was tempted to look at it anyway, but the chance of me NOT watching a video is pretty much increased by 100% if I see that in the title as well.

I really want to see how they justify 45+ total minutes of video where the title implies there's a released version of GTA 6, but at the same time I really don't want to spend my time watching dumb clickbait...it's over 8m views combined on those videos, god damn.

I don't know - I mean, obviously it's not impossible technically to grief with it. I could grief with anything if the would-be victim is bad enough. But it is true that it's very problematic if the enemy knows what they're doing. I mean, off radar messes you up, miniguns and explosive snipers, etc. It's kind of something I don't think you could put a definitive answer on. For homing launcher-only people who don't adapt, it can work though.

Urgh. I'm sorry. I got triggered.

Also I don't know who Gypsy is. I know nothing.

That is crazy. But I reckon most of those views are from curious people familiar with the franchise that don't spend a lot of time keeping up with social media surrounding their interest.

Just think it's possible that a lot of players who don't bother with forums, the newswire, twitter, facebook and all that other stuff get curious about it now that GTA V is several years old. And if they're not familiar with these pathetic characters on youtube who can't make a thumbnail without some stupid expression and lots of big arrows and dollar signs, chances are that the first thing they think of when they see "GTA VI" is sad little liar who is just making videos with misleading titles for views.

All of us here know better, but I like to think there are still people who aren't interested in all the drama outside of the actual game itself.
