What's your opinion on GTA YouTubers?

What's the point of making vids longer than they need to be? Isn't YT revenue generated by # of views? Seems counterproductive since most kids who watch this garbage have no attention span

1. Choose a stupid and Narcissistic name, like IDathebestpotato

2. Select a appropriate dub step as your intro song. Make intro 5 minutes long

3. Put as many ads as you can in your videos! The more the merrier!

4. Put a flashy title to your video that's inrelated in every way possible

5. Make all videos 10 minutes long! Even longer if you can!

 

And that's it! You're on your way to getting 1 mil subscribers, 500,000 likes and 10 DDoS Attacks on your PSN Accounts! (And you deserve it too)

6. Use a fake "newscaster voice"

6b. Start everything with, "Heeeeeeeeeey, how's it going?! [insert douche's name] checking in on you here and we've got some INSANE details about [speculative content].

7. "Make sure you like, comment, and subscribe!!!"

8. Bonus points if you have a devoted following of adolescents who will defend you to the death-- lest someone has the nerve to offer constructive criticism or negative feedback

9. Yell into the microphone and swear without context (IT'S HILARIOUS).

10. Kill yourself

 

If only they followed the 10-point plan to its conclusion.

OK, I might be overstating how awful they are but it's so ubiquitous on YouTube.

I couldn't care less about how people spend their time, but what are the attractions to GTA YouTuber's? Anything informative is on R*SC, here and/or 7S. Why spend ten minutes on a video of some dipsh*t running around, when you can just get the gist of something off of the bat and get on with it till its out?

Having said that, there's "GTA V youtubers", and GTA V youtubers. Unfortunately the former are always much bigger than the latter, but guys who just make little guides and that kind of thing aren't so bad (stunts and montages can be fun enough as well).

If a video is above 10 minutes you can put as much ads on the video as you want.

Pretty much the reason why about all of their videos are just a tiny bit above that mark and they don't get to the point.. not they have one to begin with.

 

Now there are many algorithms on how you get suggested and trends and watch time is one of them, YouTube changed the algorithms recently and lots of big YouTubers cry about that their views etc. go down because they don't get suggested anymore.

Other than a handful of genuine GTA content creators, they are all cancer inducing mouth breathers, and YouTube would be a better place without them. It amazes me how some YouTubers got big in the first place, despite their fanbase being hoards of children not old enough to purchase GTA. Clickbait works really well on them. One such example is MrBossFTW. Hes one of the bigger GTA YouTubers and he pumps out utter garbage on a daily basis. He repeats himself multiple times trying to sound smart and draw out the video. I watched one of his live streams once, and im not surprised that he really isnt that intelligent as a person. It sickens me that with such little effort and knowledge you can be successful as a GTA YouTuber. Its one of the worst "communities" on YouTube.

And guess who just 15 hours ago put up a video that said that Import/Export was Delayed, you guessed it MrIDontHaveAnyFacts (might have spelled his name wrong there ), so someone just got their bullsh*t called. (his video is probably vague enough that he can explain it away, I didn't bother watching it, doubt it will cost him views either)

watchtime is more important than views a video over 10 min always has a chance to make more money and more views than a 3 min video

Youtuber A produces 5 minute videos. 75% of viewers watch 4 minutes of of them.

Youtuber B produces 10 minute videos. 75% of the viewers watch 4 minutes of them.

 

If both Youtubers produce the same content, then Youtuber A will show up higher in the search results.

 

The key factors that Youtube uses to rate it's search results are: Relevance, Audience Retention, and Viewer Engagement.

But when I eventually do, they'll just be quick 1min tutorial videos on how to create celeb/tv/movie characters.

 

No horrible music, no mic, no bs, just quick videos that show how I created them.

There was some good Gta O youtubers back in 2014. TheIvanEh makes really good stunt videos and Goononfire the only funny troll in the gta youtuber community. But the good has been out weighed by the bad and now we have dumb*sses like lispy jimmy who sets up fake give aways, steals content from other creators [fresh coming from me the meme thief of the century]

I watched Lispyjimmy for the first time last night. He is definitely the worst of the worst. Sometimes I like to watch a sernandoe video for the sake of laughing at how stupid they are. Lispyjimmy however is so much higher on the idiocy scale I feel as if I keep watching his videos, I will die. Absolutely terrible.

It seems like all GTA youtubers are the exact same, just with different accents. Obnoxious intros, begging for likes, always advertising sh*tty shark card websites, clickbait thumbnails and they all relay the same information as each other so if you've seen one, you've seen them all.
