What's your opinion on GTA YouTubers?

It's the same as with any other group of Youtubers on any given topic - if you can teach me some lesser-known stuff about the games or good tips on how to get better then good for you!

Everyone knows that nothing can stop the train but they made 5-7 more videos anyway. For extra money. ClickbaitPointFourDead made a video of placing 1000 gas tanks. He wants to "make sure" that the game crashes. Of course it will crash! But hey it makes him extra money so he will keep on making the same sh*t anyway! But the little kids are taking over the internet and only kids can like their sh*t something that I won't call a content. Here is an example of the most cancerous fanboy comment calling haters out.

There are some really great youtubers around who publish neat walkthroughs and tricks. I'm subscribed to a few. Other than that a lot of users post unnecessary crap or things that have been posted like a 1000 times thus wasting our time with the sh*tty search results. Why can't people use the subscribe button? It only takes a few seconds. That's my opinion of the GTA V YouTubers.

GTA YouTubers should have at least one of the following qualities: be entertaining or informative or BOTH. I can give you an example of each.

Kwebbelkop - entertaining but not informative.

Broughy1322 - informative but boring.

 

Kwebbelkop gets millions of views, and Broughy gets a few thou.

 

I guess most people just want to be entertained, and the rest of us find out for ourselves.

This forum is the reason why I've never asked for a like or a subscribe on any of my videos. And I can understand the disgust with a lot of these channels that post the same exact content as each other. It's just unfortunate that it has turned some many people off from any GTA related Youtube content.

Let's face it: THEY SUCK, and make crappy content with no value to the community, I remember this idiot that claimed he was the "First one" on leaking that old phone model with GTA SA logo on it as wallpaper, he said he was the first one to show it, when it was already 1 year old discovered and already discussed here, pure bullsh*t.

 

Also they monetize their videos, almost no one does videos for entertainment now, you rarely se a good GTA V video, made by a nice guy/girl that isn't filled with "Leave a like, sub, share" and its not him/her talking stupid bullsh*t for 10 minutes just to "STOP the train with a random object".

 

Seriously, those guys suck, are noobs and stupid.

I only follow GTA Series Videos. Mr. Boss FTW makes about 60 videos off of completely nothing. LispyJimmy is making clickbait videos saying that GTA 6 is available and some people are already playing it. Its already confirmed that rockstar has delayed GTA 6 development to focus on GTA Online.

Looking at MrbossesFTW's recent video (With Adblock and Incognito), I've noticed that there's more comments on he's latest videos now from people calling him out on the 10 minuet bullsh*t when it could easily be done in over 2-3 minuets at the most.

 

on the latest video too, about the upcoming Import / Export add-on DLC for GTAOnline, he's getting a frequent load of spam saying you can earn GTAonline$ just by visiting a link, hopefully one of Ross's stupid viewers clicks the link and get's their device infected.

 

Oh and of course he's latest video as of today for the Import / Export add-on is 10 minuets +

Go F*cking figure. As much as would hate it, I wish someone would bot MrbossFTW's videos with dislikes and spam the entire comment section up.

How the f*ck is youtube not on him for breaking TOS and misleading people? If it's a skit they could probably slide with this but if it's not a skit then Youtube should be on it for Misleading people, but I guess thewy don't care really. If a smaller channel did it, it would be terminated instantly.

The only one worth watching is Broughy. I know I rag on him for continually playing the "it's expensive because Cash Cards" ...card, but credit where credit is due - most of his videos are interesting and informative, particularly with his own original information. This compared to practically everyone else in GTA YT community, that just regurgitates stuff we already knew.

 

Newsflash; LispyJimmy, MrBoss, SaintsFan, and the rest of you? No-one gives a sh*t about your thoughts on the [The Latest DLC] / [The Latest Leak] / [The Future Of GTA] / [Anything In Particular] (delete as applicable).

I think, like all Youtubers, they have essentially ruined what Youtube used to be.

 

Same as twitch really, although I must admit Twitch is more infuriating.

 

Youtube used to be brilliant, just a bunch of people sharing interesting videos, not trying to become famous or with any other agenda. Now every single video starts out the same, "Whats up guys it's ya boy stupiddickhead for the win here, bringing the latest {insert game} news, guides and glitches... Stay tuned, don't forget to {insert exaggerated word for "hit"} that like button, and subscribe to ya boy!!!"

 

I'm sick of them personally, and find myself not using youtube for games and instead going to find out information in text based form on reddit, because I'd rather read something than hear some under-educated dude that's too lazy to get in the real world and make something of himself, just copy everyone else on youtube and take the easy way out by sitting on his backside playing games & viewbotting until he's suckered enough people into having a legitimate following.

 

I still enjoy making gaming videos sometimes, but more just for my own "I wonder what I can make" and most of it never get's published because of copyright and what not... And I also never do commentary in any of my videos. It's not the same these days because back in GTA 4 and before then, I'd post a video and it was exciting because you knew you had something... these days if you're not doing the same commentary, or got a cam nobody cares.

 

On a side note, I think Twitch is much more cancerous, and I wish it would go away. JTV used to be brilliant, but twitch has fully taken over to where now it's basically view botters and cam whores that suck at gaming and have a team of white knight moderators to ban anyone that speaks the truth.

 

This is part of the reason I prefer to play single player games again, it reminds me of a great time in gaming when online gaming wasn't a thing and wasn't ruined by little peasants.

 

Anyway, imo GTA youtubers & youtubers in general are like a cancer that needs to be cut out, the only youtubers I genuinely enjoy are people that make some form of art out of games, videos that represent an idea or whatever, and don't talk over the sh*t and want me to subscribe and all the other nonsense... Youtube never used to be about making money from your vids, monetisation killed it.
