What's your opinion on GTA YouTubers?

Like everyone else I despise the GTA Youtubers that make videos of glitches and expolits. I don't mind and somewhat enjoy the ones that just post shenanigins and skits. I'm hoping when the PC version come out, we see Machinmas again. I really liked the stuff Yeardly-Diamond made.

It's quite sad the ones who post glitches and exploits are literally all the same. Same music into, same "click that thumbs up button".

 

I have heard that annoying electro-techno-whatever song from "Pegboard nerds" in atleast 10 different gta videos from 10 different youtubers. Then you have some tard with a horrible british accent or something talking about some stupid false rumor for 5 minutes straight(labeled as news or a leak) while we watch him run around in gta online doing nothing related to the video's subject.

Because: Lets be honest: Consoles sucks dick and are extremly limited. With the PC anyone can just load up Fraps and can record videos in 5 seconds WITHOUT external capture hardware.

No beef intended, but in short, the PS4 is always recording the last 15 minutes of gameplay without any external capture device.

 

Still more complicated. You need to transfer those files to PC too. And the quality of those 15 minutes is not that great. It's pre encoded h264 material. Especially game videos should be recorded loseless.

Lots of people upload from the PS4 direct to youtube (after 2.0 update) no PC needed.

It pisses me off when they join the GTAF just to advertise their garbage videos, despite it being against the forums rules. Ive even had one of them tell me to kill myself because i called him out on it. It just goes to show you what a bunch of immature douchebags most of them are.

 

BTW, does it irritate anybody else when they call GTA Online "GTA 5 Online" and when they call the KERS on the Lectro "Nitro"?

 

Those are probably just pet peves, but it irritates me to no end.

That right there is my biggest pet peeve with the GTA V community. Pretty much all of these YouTubers say it and it makes me cringe every time. And even if they say "GTA Online" in the video, they still put "GTA 5 Online" in the title. Like just f*ck off. Also people who put "GTA 5" a thousand times in the title...

they want clicks and the name gta v brings clicks

even xpertthief (a good gta ytb) uses gta 5 online as video title but he never calls it gta v online, gta online or gta v in his videos

he says grand theft auto online and grand theft auto unlimited ( a game series from him )

i dont judge him

domiasslive and icrazyfag use it

so why not a better ytb who deserves clicks ?

I think the YouTubers are smart. They have a good business thing going making all those effortless videos that millions watch, which translates into a decent source of income for those YouTubers. Kudos and to each his own, but I`m not interested in that sort of stuff. I only used to watch before V got released, to hear and see all the latest info, but since I got the game I haven`t watched any except to see what it looks like in first person on the PS4.

They basically are just repeating GTA V a million times in the video titles for search rankings, but it's really a dick move if you ask me. They know it will help their video show up more often in results. I don't understand why YouTube still hasn't cracked down harder on that. It's supposedly getting better, but I still see a ton of it. I know they started banning accounts for false tags and repeated tags not too long ago, so maybe we are heading in the right direction at least.

I'm kinda thankful for most of them that I watch. The type of vids I watched were good ones, informative vids and cool things online. I do loathe the ones who are only doing it for you-know-why. A big waste of my time when I see their vids and I don't even downvote them (any activity, is activity, so don't do it! just X on your browser, it's the strongest signal - to the internet indexing and to their own stats to know they are doing something wrong and should correct it and work on it a little more for things they really care about!).

 

That said, I am guilty of sharing vicariously in kwebbelkop's excitement from time to time.

DOM IS BANNED AGAIN!!!

Dom's second channel has now been taken down, here's what he has to say.

 

 

 

A few days ago I covered the Rockstar newswire like I always do when theres something worth reporting on like many other youtubers, I did a video on the GTA V PC images along with a comparison video, my video did great like always thanks to my awesome subscribers who view my content, the next day I received a copyright strike from a fan with 48 subscribers by the name of XpertRangers56 who even showcases my channel on his page as one of his favorite channels, I was shocked this happen told him I got my images from the Rockstar Newswire and these were public pictures that any youtuber or website can use.

 

I appealed my strike with youtube, I contacted him respectfully and I waited for a response from youtube. I got a email back from Xpert but it was too little too late, youtube acted and decided that I misused the counter strike appeal system and once again I lose my channel to the same way. I dont understand why my luck is so bad and I wish there was someone who would speak to us before terminating accounts, I do believe I'll get my DomisLive2 account back, the proof is too strong..

 

I used images that were owned by Rockstar and not XpertRanger.. he didn't create GTA V PC, You can't strike someone for something you don't own.. even if you made the video before them and I made mine before him and thats why this is insane to me. If I don't get my account back I will stream on Twitch but I'm sure I will, Youtube has a very strict policy on their reporting system I only wish the right people handled appeals, after this tweet long I'll post the proof I have of our conversation.
