What's your opinion on GTA YouTubers?

They're a bunch of nerdy, talent less cocks with no originality. All of their videos are copies of one another, basically the same old lame sh*t every day.

 

Example: "Hi generic dork here today with another bullsh*t video to entertain all you mindless twelve year old dweebs out there. Well i tried to not do that and do other stuff on gta, and I wont get famouse so I understand them a litte

400 subs is pretty good though. I've been around a lot of channels like that that eventually made it into the big leauges. Gotta keep those uploads up and try to push out crative content. Vadim M. actually works and communicates with modders as well and actually does his research, he deserves mad respect for doing that and the fact that he also caters to both English and Russian languages is also impressive, his channel deserves more notice, but sadly he doesn't sh*t out videos "Two Times A Day" and manipulate easily controlled people into being his fan like some others out there.

I have watched several of his videos. They provide a huge amount of insight to many beta, and other dummied out features to the GTA series. I like them.

Remember back in 2008 - 2010 when GTA 4 was released and everyone was making montages, machinimas, stunts....

Now all you see is: money glitches, wallbreach locations, duplication methods, more glitches, like for Chop....

 

That's R*s fault by releasing the PC version extremely late. You will see far more of the things you mentioned first, once the PC version is out.

Because: Lets be honest: Consoles sucks dick and are extremly limited. With the PC anyone can just load up Fraps and can record videos in 5 seconds WITHOUT external capture hardware.

 

Also: GTA5Videos lost a whole f*cking lot of quality. Their videos are so sh*t now. I'm very dissapointed.

I like compact and comprehensive video guides for GTA and video games in general, but I really hate those videos, where people self advertise, talk rubbish with weird accents, and mess around in the game for over 1min and longer until they finally start with doing what the video was supposed to be about.

Nerd3 is an amazing youtuber. He makes really great videos and you can tell he genuinely enjoys playing games:

 

 

 

 

 

Out of the "popular" youtubers, I say I like the NerdCubed the best. His channel isn't GTA specific though. As far as GTA channels go, GTAMissions, GTASeriesVideos and Zmoonchild are my favorites. These three helped me out a lot back when I was playing San Andreas, always used to pass a hard mission after watching one of their videos.

 

There's also this guy called RPKVids but again although he has made a few GTA videos, his channel isn't GTA specific but deals only with retro games (PS2, Xbox, Dreamcast etc), really cool guy.:

I'm not saying you have to like the guy or anything, but that 'real job' remark also includes people who literally DO make youtube videos (of wildly varying quality) for a living. Why throw them under the bus as well?

 

In the end, if you don't like people such as DomisLive or whoever else, that's fine. I personally barely know who the hell he even is. But can you really blame someone for taking the path of least resistence when it comes to making money? Can you blame them for attracting a demographic that has been historically easy to latch on to and exploit?

This is the GTA Online community in a nutshell. They'll post money glitches, wall breaches, and other stuff that makes GTA Online less fun while meanwhile all the 12 year olds will watch em and tell their friends about it and it starts spreading. This is why GTA Online has been a broken piece of crap since launch.

I would never consider them GTA fans,

99% of them are riding the hype train for views and subs.

Their videos often contain incorrect statements leading to misinformation within the community.

They steal information from here and reddit and claim it as their own.

In my experience, many of them are annoying and appeal to the preteen demographic who are not old enough to go out and purchase the game themselves, or their parents won't let them, so they subscribe to the videos.

 

Their content is copy and pasted between each other,promoted with alluring titles.

The YouTubers make no attempt to hide their motives as their lace each and every one of their videos with the verbal plea "please like and subscribe".

Some are even brazen enough to ransom alleged secrets and mods behind likes and subscriptions.

 

I have yet to see one video that showed or released something I didn't already know or have seen from being a member on this forum.

It's the fact they make money off this sh*t. That's the problem. If I were to make money by making a YouTube and just looking for glitches, posting obnoxious thumbnails and titles? I'd have a lot more money.

 

It's also the fact that Rockstar supports these Channels. And Despite banning them, they still support them! Hell, some of them haven't even left Education.
