I've convinced dom to answer your questions to go past the missunderstandings, i hope you can ask them respectfully give him a chance and don't make any accusations or be disrespectful just give him a chance to explain himself, be constructive and respectful.

 

Just this once give him a chance, i am not defending him i just think he should be given a chance to explain himself to show that he isn't the bad person you think he is, i would never help him if he was like icrazyteddy, but i believe dom isn't as bad as you think he is, i believe he is a good down to earth person which is why i am trying to help him i have no knowledge of his past or what he has done just what he has told me.

Why not do a Q&A right here right now?

 

A) How much money do you get from youtube on a weekly or monthly basis, whenever you get paid?

B) How much of that money do you donate to charity?

C) Do you have a real job or do you think making youtube videos is a sufficient enough job?

D) How do you feel about having "started", or rather contributing, to the long slew of gamer channels with tacky misleading thumbnails, information you get from other places, and annoying commentary?

E) Do you legitimately like GTA as a game, or are you just playing it for the money/fame and jump on something else once it comes along?

F) If someone were to ask "why should I watch your channel instead of icrazyteddy or whoever even though the two of you offer the same content) what would you say?

G) Where is that face reveal you promised before?

H) Why do you feel as though you have to get your "personal army", in all literal sense, to defend you against bad feedback rather than yourself?

he agrees that making your own thumbnails is better but that they just take them off google the ones that stick out the most i've convince him to consider doing his own thumbnails

 

face reveal i think thats a personal thing and theres no need to stress on that my opinion though

he does not agree with what people like teddy is doing but he minds his own business he hates money glitches and i am sure he doesn't like what came after him

he answered my questions just be respectful and give him a chance to redeem himself many will not like what i say but just give him a chance he will likely talk to nos and solve things that happened by apologizing

 

remember i get nothing at all out of this just the risk of being hated but i think a person deserves a chance if they care enough to change and wanting to treat people well

Some of them are cool and informative... Lots.. Most of them are absolutely annoying. Especially when they're either young and/or they have sh*t music pounding in the background. I also hate long intros but that spans across millions of YouTubers. Lots of GTA vids that have a group of people screaming and laughing in a "funny" video.. Yeah those suck too.

I find it difficult to get worked up over something so silly, especially since making these glitches widespread will only lead to Rockstar patching them and ensuring next-gen versions have smooth launches. I think the fact that DomIsLive actually cares what anyone here is saying, being in the position that he's currently in, says quite a lot about him. I can't think of any big youtubers out there who would even consider reaching out to a site that despises them this much.

Either way, I'll give it another year before the leak/glitch craze eventually dies down and these domislive clones slowly cease to exist. Rockstar can't churn out big content updates forever, and glitches can only get less frequent and more complicated as time goes on. As Xerukal said, the PC version will slowly but surely bring back real gaming content.

 

Until then just appreciate these absurd videos and remember to like for chop.

The way I see it dom, you can't come back from the things you've done.

You tried to get Sugar Free Nos banned because he called you out, you then take some info (this was awhile ago) from the forums and never gave any credit.

The only way you can. Is to stop making bullsh*t videos, make original content and don't beg for likes.

This isn't "hating" by the way, it's a clear representation of Dom's business model for his channel. There are several videos of his that are fine (gameplay and roundtables), but to continually update two videos daily with no actual merit based information pertaining to GTAO updates/content is unnecessary and the cause for the negative feedback.

 

I'd respect Dom quite a bit more if he admits that his livelihood depends on his channel views/clicks. Post videos of his gameplay and other videos to help walk through younger/low level players. Just back off the bait and switch videos that are repetitive and misleading his viewers.

The consensus with YouTube these days is the general lack of original content. For example with "Let's Plays..." those who spend hours recording the footage, editing together the parts that need to be removed, adjusting microphone levels, making sure the video is viewable and the quality is great, rendering and uploading get very little views for their hard work and effort - like below 100. Then those who throw together a half-assed effort which involves the same crap over and over again, every day without stopping rake in thousands of views and get a big, fat paycheck with lots of zeroes on it. That's what annoys me.

 

The same applies for GTA videos - they are all the same. There are a few diamonds in the rough however but generally it's the same crap. You get the half-assed effort of a video, "Hey Guys, like and subscribe" and all with their annoying friends with crap mic quality who speak too loudly over the gameplay footage and shift in fake laughs like an episode of the Big Bang Theory. Then Rockstar promote those videos and the people who actually make great videos get completely shafted for it. Also YouTube needs to completely dump Like and Subscribe begging. If the viewer enjoys the video then they will subscribe and or like the video, begging for it is like going into a shop and having the people in the shop ask you for a review on a product you haven't even used or bought yet.

 

I'm all for people doing what they do and making money any way they please as long as it is legal. However, those who actually put in the effort should be rewarded as much or even more than those who do very little. I remember when making YouTube videos were for the fun of it and sharing your creation with the rest of the world - now it's all business men in suits and big, fat paychecks and not much else. The people who do actually make good videos are trying to keep the sinking ship floating as best as they can but DomIsLive and iCrazyTeddy are taking up all the space on the last few lifeboats remaining.

Especially when all you see now are people in God mode and in wallbreach locations making the game almost unplayable.

I've done Lets Plays before.

 

• Sometimes you record without the microphone on (this can happen more than you might think).
• Sometimes Sony Vegas doesn't even output the correct aspect ratio or any special editing layers you applied don't even appear like annotations that appear at the very end with a small video clip showing a previous video.
• Sometimes you get mistakes in your videos that you have to edit out for convenience or time restraints, like dying continually or the game breaking or crashing.
• Sometimes you have to spend time removing old footage from your HDD because Fraps file sizes are massive.
• Then you'll have to use software to encode the videos to make the size smaller.
• Sometimes YouTube itself doesn't even upload the correct quality or butchers it completely so you have to re-render another 1080p video that can take an hour or even more depending on your hardware.
• YouTube can take more than an hour to upload depending on your upload speed (In the UK, they can be dreadful - lower than 0.5Mbps upload).

 

All of this are factors for the time it takes just to upload one 15 minute episode. Yes, you maybe right in that some have better hardware or internet speeds but if you want to be original it pays off by making your video look like you actually put time and effort into it, instead of the general Lets Play which looks like zero effort was applied. Also, not everyone has the time in their day to do all of this - people who make thousands of YouTube money dedicate every waking hour to it but those who don't and do it for the fun of it instead have to find time out of their day to do all of this.

A) I rather not go into numbers of how much money I make, no good will come from me revealing this, and plus its against Youtube TOS to speak on the number.

B) I give 100 hundred dollars every time DLC is released to my active subscribers and no I don't ask them to like or subscribe, when some of my loyal subscribers were out of XBL membership I bought them membership cards, I also donated 100$ to the ALS Ice Bucket challenge in the name DomsArmy, I do these things because I appreciate the support I get from them.

C) Youtube is my full time job and I'm able to make a career from it, but I do invest my money in projects.

D) I cant speak on other channels, my main focus is my own, I cant control how poor someone's commentating skills still are, Youtube is an open hobby/career allot of people get into after being a fan of their favorite youtuber and sometimes don't put in proper effort or take things seriously enough to get better.

E) I love GTA, in DLC videos I'm excited to announce things, I'm just an very lucky fan of the game that's making youtube videos as a career.

F) To people who ask that question, I suggest they find a favorite youtuber that reports news if that's their thing and just watch him only, I pride myself on getting info out fast and having a bond with my viewers.

G) I feel youtube is youtube and my life is my life, and that's my choice of when I will do it, and I told my subscribers I will once I reach one million subscribers or once I attend events like E3 next year, which I have plans to do.

H) I think you're wrong there, I don't hide behind my subscribers, I use to post here daily and never used a sub to back me up, the sugar free nos thing, I felt he was being a hypocrite, in one thread he was bragging about having 60 Million on GTA Online and admitted to doing money glitches, but he was a person who has used his group as a gang to report me to rockstar and giving me tons of hate about glitches and yet that day I found out he did glitches, and I got upset and tweeted to my subscribers to report him.
