Selling weapons

Recently I was scrolling through the weapons that I did not need and want to get rid off and thougth that it would be an awsome idea if Rockstar decided to let us sell weapons. I think that it could be like the way we sell cars to LSC:

 

You had to sell them at Ammu-Nation.

- 48 minute cooldown.

- You only get 10-20% of the buy-price.

 

It would give the game more ways to earn money the legit way and you could simply do some gang attacks to earn a couple of bucks.

I actually took the time to scroll thru my weapons list the other day to see what I didnt use, and ended up dumping 7 different guns. Most the guns in a specific set use the same ammo (SMG's, Assualts, Shotguns, etc), so I didnt lose any... but it would've been nice to be able to get buyback $$ for them. I dumped them off at the doorway of an Ammunation... looks like they had a clearance sale

I would love to have it like LJ in GTAIV. We would have gun in the back of our car, and we would go around selling it to people who want a piece or two.

We need more things involving the gun trade. Too many missions about drugs, cars, and taking out random people for Martin.

 

 

Hell, I'd even like to see some arms trafficking missions or free roam events like in SP. But you know, Trevor doesn't exactly own that yet...

TBH it was kind of a mistake to make Online set in the past. So many conflicting things with SP...

 

But yeah, I'd like to sell my guns rather than dropping them on the ground. Such a waste...

Why in the hell would you do that? Even if you don't use them, you bought them.... You essentially just threw away money. Next time, give them to a low level player, ya douche!

I'm not a douche. And, I did it bc it was a waste of time having to scroll thru weapons that I dont use when I'm in a firefight and in a hurry. They're cheap weapons, and its not like I'll never make back the money I spent on 'em... its not gonna break my bank.

 

I don't use a mic unless I'm in private chat with a friend, bc I dont interact with randoms... fact is, MOST turn out to be jerks. However... I left the weapons in front of a commonly used Ammunation for a reason... as a favor, so they could be picked up by someone.

I love helping out low level players when I can, esp since they get grieved so often.

Yeah, I'd like to have the ability to sell weapons. Kinda sucks when you have to pay full price for the same weapon again. Like that guy a few posts above said, what a waste.

See, I've tried in the past. Honestly... many times. And, for a while, it was nice... there have been a few that were not backstabby, and pretty gratious to my help. But that seems to have become more rare as of late... people are starting to get selfish.

 

Problem is this... after I offer my help, rather it be by stepping in to help a low level who's apparently being grieved or bulllied, or giving someone a ride somewhere, or splitting $$ with someone who happened to be riding with me during a bounty kill, or helping deliver a Simeon priority vehicle (which I have done all of the above, and more)... more often then not, I end up getting turned on. I help a guy who gets bullied, and said guy turns and blows up my car. I split earnings, and get asked for more $$. I help deliver a car, and get no payback (which, honestly doesnt bother me THAT much, but where's the gratitude?). And when I end up getting attacked, where's my help? Before I know it, I just spent a half hour helping somebody who doesnt even offer a thanks... and then they vanish... like a fart in the wind. And it seems to happen more as of lately... so I decide not to do it much any more. I wont get screwed if I roll solo, or with a friend I KNOW has my back.

 

I'm not a jerky player, by any means. I dont troll, I leave people the hell alone (unless I'm doing a bounty kill, or I'm fighting for a Simeon car, or I get sucked into a 1 on 1 with someone who killed me bc my shirt is grey or whatever... etc.) And, once in a while, I may STILL step in to help a low level getting bullied, be it halfway for the thrill of the gunfight. I just dont like the jerky, selfish, "give me more" attitude.

 

I was the underdog once, and I respect it completely. Honestly, I like what you had to say up there... but not to the point of being walked on.

 

And, I DONT offer a "sticky to the face" as you said... and, technically, I DID offer free weapons... which is why I left them at the entrance of an ammunation, to be picked up... like I mentioned, twice now.

 

Dont be so quick to judge my playing manner when you don't know me from a ham sandwich. Ironically, you actually seem to be someone I could enjoy playing with.
