GTA 6 Location Poll

It would be definetly multiple city’s. So that out of the question for me. 

 

Most chance for coming back is Vice city. What I think is they gonna make Vice city, Liberty city and San Andreas in one game but u need to go to the airport for fast travel. 

 

Im not sure If they add LV and SF in the game I hope so. The ps5 can handle I think But Its more the time and crazy effort to add 2 extra city’s in the next GTA

I don't know what's wrong with me but I have no desire for Vice City. I feel like it doesn't have anything to offer that we already haven't seen in VC/VCS even in the 80s/90s let alone modern times. 

 

I'd like Las Venturas/San Diego or Detroit/Chicago.

VC/South America is my go-to but Venturas is right f*ckin after it.

There seems to be a great deal of love amongst GTA fans for the game GTA: Vice City, but to be honest, it never really grabbed me. I wouldn't mind a revisit there for a current / next gen game but the map would have to be diverse again, as pure city-based maps would be boring to me. US cities are generally grid-derived so don't make for interesting driving locales. The best part about Five's map is the mixture of both city and wilderness. It feels more open. 

 

And for the love of God Rockstar, please don't take us back to the 1980's

I'm not making things up via the past things because they've clearly changed the way of making them since GTA V launched and GTAO success. Yes they've put easter eggs that mention VC but it was added back in 2012-2013 since then things have been different.

Vice City is mentioned in GTA IV. Niko and Roman to take a jet to Vice City. The ILuvVC hat in multiplayer.. the hobo that found the diamonds moved to Vice City to open a gun store (I hope he shows in VI as a Easter egg).

That's not really true though. They don't reference the next game in their current one. Besides GTA III and the Miami billboard (as Vice City was originally built as an expansion). Any easter eggs and references are just 'in universe' mentions of other locations. You can find mentions of pretty much every location in a GTA game, but people just focus on the mentions of the city that the next game happens to be in, and then assume that it was an intentional tease.

Guys its going to be Vice City 100% and likely Liberty City.

Remember that rock craving with New York city near where Micah dies, for the time traveler?

The Reverane and Dutch saying they moving to New York.

Most of the Tourist being American are from New York.

RDR2 did hint New York alot to not be noticeable for a future game likely GTA 6 and not Bully 2, even though alot of RDR2 characters look like Bully toons.

That said Liberty City and Vice City are highly likely. Las Venturas had more easter eggs then San Fierro or Carcer City altogether, hopefully its Las Venturas and not Liberty City too.

I don't know if it was already mentioned, but what about an Hawaii setting?

 

I think it would be pretty badass to have a few major islands, perhaps connected with bridges, and multiple minor ones. The added tropical forests and mountains could be used for some epic exploration.

 

Sadly we wouldn't see any bayou, desert or plains, since it would be mostly one vegetation throughout the entire game. But the setting could be cool?!

Discounting every leak or rumour, that was one of my theories. Basing it of what they did with RDR2. That's a wet dream though. Can't see it happening, but I'll continue to dream.

At launch no, but they could push a new dlc map the length of Gta 4's dlc games in a new location like Las Venturas and allow our characters to choose our deflaunt map when entering gta online.

The Elder Scrolls have released multiple DLC maps, content and online crossplay.

If ESO could do it every year in the same game, GTA developers shouldn't hold back again.

Also this would be freaking epic.

I think Hawaii would be pretty awesome. It's not really the type of environment you see much in games, especially with Rockstar's level of detail. It is pretty varied though. They do have a desert on the big island and swamps, also there's the snow covered mountain. They even have a pretty cool car culture. Lots for Rockstar to work with.

As for a criminal Gta aspect, I don't really see Hawaii having a shot by Rockstargames.

Hawaii has Dog the Bounty Hunter, a recent Fast and Furious spin off movie and I don't know any other thing that can influence a Gta thats not criminal like.

Well that would be a nice throwback to the first GTA game. (It contained all 3 of them, however San Andreas was just San Fierro back then)

The first GTA was SA, LC and VC. They can do the same this time but the whole SA would be huge DLC later

I wouldnt be surprised if the (EastCoast) Vice City/Liberty City would be the next map, Rockstar always use each game to try new techniques and methods out, with RDR2 we see how they combined an old map with a new map. GTA VI will be viewed as a platform similar to GTA V/Online was but more ambitious, adding on portions of land might be a possibility as someone has already mentioned, with the west coast being DLC (using GTA Vs San Andreas + more). If you read the GTA V san andreas map, it does say its Southern San Andreas, we havent seen the whole state yet which would include San Fierro and probably other cities.
I also wouldnt be surprised if some of these ideas where actually for GTA V but got pushed back due to focus on RDR2 and GTA Online, ideas are always re-used, either modified or as is. If you remember, GTA IV played with the ideas of several characters (through DLC) all connected through the trinity, and a bank heist.
Considering that GTA V was released near the end of the last console generation cycle and was remastered for current generation, I doubt they would want to release a GTA title at the end of a console generation, so my guess is 2 or 3 years after a next generation console releases (PS5/Nextbox) so I would probably expect a non-GTA Rockstar title between here and then, hopefuly Bully 2 and a Midnight Club.

If it turns out to be all five cities, the map would be about 6x the size of GTA5. A massive island with all the cities along the coastlines divided by a Rocky Mountain range. The ultimate GTAO map, but more likely we'll be seeing that on GTA7 in 2032 for PS6 and XBOX1440.

For a "criminal aspect" I would say The Company would be Rockstar's best bet.

Yeah that would be pretty crazy but then again it all depends on the specs of the hardware and the optimization of the game, however not exactly having much faith in the latter considering how we know that GTAV is an absolute mess of codes that could collapse if they were to tamper with any of it which is why all updates don't tamper with the original content.

 

But yeah, seeing something like that would be absolutely amazing.

Woah really? That's cool! Didn't know that they had swamps and even a desert. That's pretty cool.

Oh that's weird, since I grew up with Magnum P.I. and Hawaii 5-0. To me it seemed like there is enough to use for Rockstargames.

Actually quite easily possible in current gen already, so it wouldn't be that far out for next gen. 

 

Remember that GTA V's map is absolutely dwarved by dozens of other open world maps (Ghost Recon Wildlands, The Crew (2), Just Cause (1-4), The Witcher 3, Burnout Paradise). Hell, GTA V's map was created for 360/ps3. VI will be created for consoles which have tech 15 years better.

 

Next gen 2020/21, 360/ps3 was 2005/06

it will be a updated liberty city from 4 maybe with more landmarks like madision square garden and the mets and yankees stadiums small little things like that a complete revamp of vice city south americia not sure about colombia only that makes sense maybe bogota or medellin if it a escobar inspired story or south amercia could just be a north yankton place where we go for just a few missions and vice city and liberty city will be the main map plenty of countryside already in gta v i know it a different game but will be backwards compat so be on next gen and will continue to be updated until and probably after as long as it makes money gta 6 release in probably mid to late 2021

If Rockstar want to make GTA Online even better, more popular and even more profitable. Multiple cities is definitely the way to go. V has a great diverse map for online, but I personally don't feel enough incentive to buy fancy planes (even though I love aviation) in GTA Online (not that I play it anymore since 2014 lol). But having a larger map, with other cities to actually fly to... that would make a lot of people want to spend big on planes and better cars, etc.
