My second choice would be North Yankton. It could be like GTA: Fargo. I need some more time to think about what you'd get up to in that one though.

 

London might be interesting but it should then be set in the past, maybe the 80s due to the notorious gun laws in the present.

TBH, I'm quite bored of rebooting the same cities over and over again. I wouldn't be surprised if GTA Next was set in another remade city though.

A GTA set outside of the US would be cool but it's not going to happen.Rockstar Games said they are interested in making a game set outside the US but that it won't be part of the GTA franchise because they said that GTA is a satire for American culture.Dan Houser was the one who talked about likely locations and he pretty much ruled out anything outside the US.

I personally want a map that includes the maps from Vice City,San Andreas,IV and V all combined alongside deserts,countryside and North Yankton perhaps for a snowy area.Rockstar said that they are considering this but I don't think it'll be the map of GTA VI.

Already thought so, I like the idea tho haha...I rather see a complete new map than a combined one form previous games.

Texas could be interesting. 

Hit all the cities, the plains, maybe some gulf coast, the border.

 

Bank robbers ala Hell or High Water

Highway and Offroad Races

Drug Smuggling and Border Crossing

 

A lot to be examined or satirized by R*, hopefully in a more serious and not linear, Michael Bay-style way.

Gameplay and missions should be just as open as the plains.

 

No pics at the moment, I think most can imagine the lone-star state. Maybe I'll better detail possible locations and settings in the future.

An US/Mexican border GTA would be sweet, and it would be nice to have spring, summer, fall and winter not always the same weather patterns and temperatures. It would also be nice, if wind had a real effect on the environment, that all the trees and stuff get moved in the same direction, and while flying or driving vans and other high vehicles should also be affected by a realistic wind. Bullets should be affected by it too of course. Man i would love that.

Oh don't worry, the little c*nts roaming our streets seem to know how to get their hands on guns easy enough. Failing that, it could be the first all-melee GTA, just knives.

I don't know anything about Red Dead Redemption 2 but I wonder if they will tie it in with the same map?  Seems like an efficiency thing to me.  Where is RDR set?

GTA's America is pretty different from Red Dead's America. Red Dead, being historical in its setting, uses "territories" more than actual "states", and certainly makes more reference to the real world than GTA. Red Dead Redemption 2 is spread over a number of territories based on multiple states, from the east-central plains out to the Rockies. Beyond obviously not sharing a canon, the worldspace of Red Dead Redemption isn't exactly compatible with that of a GTA game.

 

At any rate, I doubt Rockstar would want to reuse any of their older material in a future game, especially in a different series. Aside from that being generally looked down on by players, it just doesn't work as technology moves forwards. By the time GTA Next comes out, RDR2 could look dated.

I honestly hope the next game is GTA North Yankton. I prefer the singleplayer over online, (of course I have a kods menu so I can do literally anything), and think they could make a good story where we play as Michael, Trevor, and Brad in early North Yankton. The online however, could take place in current day North Yankton, so Rockstar could implament their flying motorcycles with f*cking homing missles and maybe a flying boat with a f*cking explosive minigun that can also do a billion things cause Rockstar treat GTA Online like it's some futuristic world.

Yeah North Yankton is interesting location and it has wasted potential. They could easily made it a fully explorable map but nooo let's just add weapons and vehicles...

In that case the map would likely expand to the Appalachians for hunting and exploration.

Looks like it will be liberty and vice city if the rumors are correct. Do you remember awhile back when someone found one rock stars artists portfolio and in it was a picture of liberty city pretty much reimagined

It make more sense for *R to do two states or two massive metro areas since they have new technology

I'm all for two big cities but those two don't really make any sense together. They're so far apart geographically that it would really only work as two seperate maps with a passive plane ride to hide the loading screen. That sounds kind of awful to me.

 

If they're going to do two major metropolitan areas I want them both on one big map with no loading. I also feel like both Liberty City and Vice City are are big and unique enough to carry their own games. I'd rather see Liberty City coupled with something like a smaller Vermont or Rhode Island city and for a modern Vice City to just really embrace the insanity of Florida.

 

Also, keep in mind that this "rumour" started from an alleged leak that also claims the game is coming out next year and will be a PS5 launch exclusive for the first month. It's likely completely fake.

I think making multiple cities will increase the time to finish a game, though offer a greater amount of racing, gun trafficking and get away job interest to players. I like the idea of multiple cities for multiplayer, the problem is the surface of the game is all that'll remain in multiplayer. So it's really hard to say I want that, knowing the depth is more important to me. I just want fight clubs, Boxing and MMA working into the game. Gambling is a good way for non fighter characters to promote and earn money on fighters. Def Jam and Need for Speed ideal additions to the GTA series, though I suppose you can't do that. So make something that isn't a name brand, make it good enough to appeal to us like those though.

I like the idea of multiple cities for SINGLE PLAYER. I really would like it in single player. Seeing that in single player would be really great.

Yeah me too, though with all the RP servers, I think their going to capitalize on that more this time. Make sense too with Twich and other Streaming inviting people, to play games with them. I would too if I were they, making money off the social aspect of multiplayer. Just stay away from loot box thingies.

Sort of. It's really more of a completely unsubstantiated "leak" that sounds like total BS.

We saw Niko in the LifeInvader page and think he was hanging out in Los Santos Chinatown via Bio and Mods.

I'm definitely not excited for Liberty City, cause I'm not so fonded by a recycled map.

Seriously why remaster Gta 4's Liberty City map for, it's already been fully explored to every mystery and easter egg.

Sure Vice City still needs a HD era setting, but it will be better alone with the rest of the untouched HD era San Andreas or with just Las Venturas.
