Going to retract my original post, and say that a modern day Vice City wouldn't be a bad idea. For those who have been to/live in Miami will know that not much has changed in terms of area, and nightlife. But to redesign all the cities (Las Venturas, Vice City, San Fierro, Liberty City, Los Santos) to SOME DEGREE wouldn't be that difficult to do. Maybe add Bullworth (The town is not that big), and Carcer City for fun. Make Bullworth Academy abandoned (for obvious reasons), but leave the town with life. Add Dixmor Asylum as well.

GTA VCS should be 2.5 times bigger than GTA5

 

 

Southwestern coast of map is just Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach areas, Orlando middle of Map, Western middle is Tampa, Northern portion of map is Atlanta and Georgia Mountains

Definitely have an American city such as San Francisco. Since there's also a demand for a city outside the US, have the option to travel to both cities by plane:

I want GTA 6 to be the whole of USA. That would be very interesting because of different people, cities and landscapes. Different weather would also hit different parts of the USA due to climate and temperature.

 

It would not be fair to have GTA 6 only in one city like you said, for example, Vice City. I do not want to go back in time where GTA takes place in one small city island. I want the whole USA.

 

GTA 6 must also have better graphics than GTA 5 and more customizable vehicle, boat and aircraft customizations. In addition to that, there is also a need for many more properties buy which have many more garages, hangers and marinas and helipads. GTA 6 must make it possible to save all kinds of transport vehicles (cars, trucks, busses, tanks) including boats, helicopters and airplanes.

On another note, both of these make sense:

• Recreating Vice City, Las Venturas and San Fierro (eventually villages/towns from SA countryside) in HD
• Introducing a completely new US city or maybe, just maybe, outside US (after all, they did London in 2d but no Las Venturas nor Los Santos 2d, and San Andreas was actually San Fierro, also, London was never in 3D nor HD)

But i think it'd be still better to recreate smaller cities first, and if they ever do a remaster of Liberty City, they should keep the IV design and add Staten Island parody ofc and Long Island extension

Hell yeah. Not like they would do the Midwest but I am from Wisconsin so it would be awesome to see it represented in such a huge game.

 

I always thought Milwaukee, WI should be represented in a video game. It isn't huge like Chicago or Los Angeles, but it has a population of over half a million people. Plus it is the most segregated city in the United States and has a lot of gang issues so would be fitting for a GTA game. Plus the culture of Wisconsin is often misrepresented by anyone who hasn't been here.

Yes, map size is more restrained by disk space and the man-hours to create it than anything else.

 

It does feel weird knowing that the entire map of GTA V is equal to the size of a single small city IRL, but then again there would be a point where a city feels too big and monotonous to get from point A to B, so it's a delicate balance.

Maybe a colony on Mars or some giant space station orbiting the flooded, octopus infested earth.

I was hoping for Vice City, with some cool tie in with the last Vice City and maybe some retro 80s crap thrown in, but I don't think that'll happen as most of the people who played Vice City will be dead of old age by then.

Also Florida will probably be under water at that point and our descendants will treat it like Atlantis, not fully believing it ever existed or it's just a myth.

But for argument's sake I'll choose somewhere random...

I'd like too something like whole Florida, but with a part of Alabama and Mississippi.

Meaning that I'm expecting it to take a lot more time for the next game to come out and it might as well be centuries from now.

A retro Vice City would be cool, but I'm sure that would never happen because that would appeal more to the older gamers and Rockstar isn't as interested in appealing to them as much as younger gamers.

I was talking with friend a while back about the old "Driver" games and the version (Driver 2?) that had different (non U.S.) cities like Havanna and Rio... Later a thought came to me... "Geez, I hope that for GTA6 they don't locate it in some made up banana republic island nation that's a doppelgänger of Cuba... That would suck..."

But maybe not...

I could see a possibility in that... The main characters could be smugglers or gunrunners helping rebels...

Lots of potential for deep storylines, mega mayhem and requisite social commentary.

 

Who knows... Nothing is possible or probable.

 

Whatever it is I hope it's good.

Would love to see 70's SF & LV in one game, but with Rockstar's Online boner its not looking likely.

 

A new city like Detroit or Chicago would be great too but then people would whine about it being too dark and "grey".

Likely it's gonna be VC, it seems like a natural progression plus we haven't had a game starring VC since VCS.

I'd love to revisit the post-war retro-futuristic city of Anywhere again, but that will never happen
