How to change color of rails on car?

 

I am making police texture for police patrol in GTA IV.

 

I have to make black lettering on the door.

 

But it does not look good, because my word spoils black strip.

 

I need to change the texture of the side rails on the car. But how?

 

 

I am sorry for my English.
