I figured it out for myself. I just had to shoot at the crate box, then it opened and I picked it up.

Yeah you can run it over, shoot at it or blow it up to retrieve the contents.

Don't go into the green circle until you get the message a crate has been dropped. Going into the green before then WILL glitch the crate into not dropping at all.

Anytime we see a player go into the green circle before the crate drops we spawn kill them until they tap out.

Plenty of times ive shot the box and tried to get the package and I cant lol, many times ive had friends stood there shooting as tho to say pick it the fk up!! But i cant lool

u can't lift crates due acting like static object . however in V , certain crates may can be moved by vehicle impact

but those spawned either hacks or content creator are completely static

 

note : it's worth to note fences from content creator can be used as RPG / GL shield ( needing to be paired a cover as well but not too close from the shield itself )

since independence day expired myself and a few others haven't been able to get crates to drop. no one goes in the circle or even near it, an hour later still nothing.

cool i was wondering about this. a friend wasnt getting crate drops so i hosted method for him and he got the call right away so i figured it was method.

my second character doesn't get crate drops. ive done all the missions and im level 160..something.

my first character gets them but they aren't worth the time chasing. so you really aren't missing much.

Call Lester, request a job.

 

Delete all job offers until "KILL THE TARGET" comes up.

 

Kill the target.

 

If the specific vehicle Simeon job comes up, destroy the vehicle.

 

Repeat if necessary.

 

For me, crate drops will almost always come up after pushing the game through the other free roam jobs a time or two.
