In every single thread there are people bitching about modders.

 

I play gta v alot and have not ran into a single modder so I think some people are just using modders as an excuse to hate on the game more.

 

Yes think game has ALOT of issues but the modders aint a big one. And from what I have heard they bring excitement to gta online something rockstar is not doing.

 

Who else has never seen a modder in gta online?

I've really come across modders, thank god. I've come across a lot of glitch griefers but no modders, so I think this whole thing can be over-sensationalised.

99% of these assholes either forced mine or other players' console to freeze, attached stone penises or lamp poles to characters, spawned explosions under everyone or teleported everyone to prison.

 

I only met ONE modder that was friendly. He spawned a fun blender type thing in the airport and gave me and other players indestructible cars to drive into the blender or just mess around. Hundreds of other modders I met in missions or free mode were the typical douchebags annoying players for no reason.

I only met ONE modder that was friendly. He spawned a fun blender type thing in the airport and gave me and other players indestructible cars to drive into the blender or just mess around. Hundreds of other modders I met in missions or free mode were the typical douchebags annoying players for no reason.

In my experience only a few were complete assholes that would people in prison and sh*t.

 

But some just minded there own business riding sonic speed around the airport then constantly kill anyone who shoots at him.

 

Mostly the modders would spawn awsome thing in the airport and great ramps that made gta iv fun. Tbh modders in iv were the reason I layed it for so longgg.

I seen few modders in different sessions,they are friendly,I was with one in his car,police cant kill him and me,I shoot bullets like jet from pistol,also they dont kill players.God (pussy) mode glitchers are real assholes they are worse then modders.

I was gifted 75 million back before the sweep.

I have gone after one bounty that was wall glitched in the bank.

I have driven under a parking garage and fallen off the map.

I have ridden with someone who flew a chopper through a building and then under the map showing off.

I have tried to blow up two indestructible cars.

I have flown into a UFO at legion square during my own custom air race.

I have seen traffic cones litering the ground in one of my land races.

I have seen dead hookers in someone elses adder resting on top of my car in my garage.

I have been shot by someone hiding in my garage.

 

That is the complete range of my experience with hacks in almost 1400 hours of play. Except for the indestructible cars each happened only once.

If you play Freetown and don't see a modder you probably never seen the sentinel man either. Ie your powers of observation suck.

 

There's a modder in every lobby, sometimes you need to piss them off before they turn god mode on or do something to you though. I hardly ever play in public freeroam, maybe two hours a week?. I've been in a z type flat out on the freway chased by a guy on foot that was shooting jet rounds from his gun, he caught up too.. I've been in a UFO, I've been turned invisible. I've been held up and tazzed. I've seen a guy get high pressure water attached to his body and bounce off walls and buildings all the way down the street like an out of control jetpack. I've seen a mountain lion snipe a cargobob. I've been attacked by monkeys. Sniped by sky snipers. Seen numourous (maybe 50 guys that were in god mode). All this andi haven't played in weeks. Not to mention when I last did play I ran into about 50 meteors per day.

I've never seen a modder either. But the last few times I've played I've mainly been sticking to missions, DM, races etc etc. and not bothering with free roam due to god mode

TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS!

 

here are some samples...

 

EXIBIT A - here you have some modders taking control of my character and trying to kill me with some fire and water bullets!

 

EXIBIT B - here you have yet another modder taking control of my character, while trying to kill me with by spawning ferries wheels and ufo on top of me!

 

EXIBIT C - having a good time in a session but you have to switch session because a modder feel like blocking the entire block with some huge rocks.

 

EXIBIT D - how about youre minding your own business then you get teleported to the airport because some modder wanted to show of his cargo plane.

 

EXIBIT E - battling against a crew, outnumbered but kicking their ass, what they gonna do? regroup? think of a better strategy? NAA they would make you surrender.

 

so yeah, modders do bring excitement and make the game more enjoyable!!!

Yes I am aware. I meant hacks, mods as a global description of anything not normal or intended. In any case it is a limited experience considering the time frame.

You'll know what I mean if you've played GTA 4. I love hackers and modders. They bring unpredictability to the game and seem to be the only ones 'continually changing and evolving', unlike Online itself.

As far as I know I've never seen a modder. I think the bigger issue is all these people that keep running into them maybe need to re-assess their friends list. If you keep getting put into lobbies with modders, it's probably because one of your friends is a modder or they are friends with a/some modders.

Only thing that springs to mind besides once seeing the UFOs was a chrome Schafter with police lights/siren and the NOS glitch. As soon as I blew up that monstrosity he moved to another lobby. I imagine there are less Europeans doing these mods as there are fewer of us playing the game plus Europeans do not suffer from ADHD like the yanks

 

Also bear in mind the matchmaking for joining a lobby is also based on total player to player kills not just your current mental state, in other words if you kill very few players in free roam it will place you in like-minded populations.

I came across to 2 modders, one spawning stuff everywhere and another was killing everyone with explosive laser beamse with his pistol and godmode... so yeah

Played an hour last night, one single session. 3 modders all in a crew. Buff dude and two naked chicks. I would have let it pass but one had a bounty and was invincible. So I whipped out the cell phone recorded a quick video and sent it to the banhammer. Crew was T141 if anyone cares.

 

First and only time I've seen modders. But that shows me it is getting worse.

I've seen obstacles appearing on the streets a couple of times, nothing more. I don't care about them.

 

I think when people complain about modders, they often actually mean glitchers, the ones that use the god mode glitch or indestructible car glitch for example. That's not modding, that's simple glitching.
