Is it even worth joining free roam anymore?

well i can say i free roam in public lobbies as much as i always have,

 

I have ran into only one person that could not be killed who grieved the hell out of me for a few minutes until i realized they couldnt be killed, I switched sessions end of problem

I Have never ran into people giving cash away, and with all the complaining i read on the forums about low cash payouts ect, i dont understand why people are crumbling about players giving them cash

 

I approach public free roam with caution, I know it can be a war zone or whole map death match at times, so i watch and look and listen when i enter a session to get a feel of whats going on,

anytime i am upgrading my cars or looking for a vehicle i use invite only sessions or join a friends lobby where i can say i am doing this or that and be left to do so

Invite only lobbies only. I don`t find it fun to play with a bunch of modders or 12 year old trolls. I`d rather play solo or with friends

@Starscream_910 What console do you play on? I only ask because I rarely see anything that I consider coming from hackers, and I've only experienced a few godmode people in all the time I've been playing. I'm on PS3. I know that the stupid modded menu thing is available on PS3, but I think it's less proliferate than on the Xbox. I'm just curious if you're on PS3 and I've just been exceedingly lucky (or you're exceedingly unlucky!)
