need help!

I got 2.3m hard earned GTA$. Should i buy an Buzzard or wait what the update brings? I usuallly do arround 20x RR a day so i would have the money back in a week or two. What do you say?

I made a few posts in there saying you should, no matter what the DLC contains. The buzzard is a must-own and is worth the price. It's the best purchase I've made and I use it every time I play GTA:O. Yes, it spawns in freeroam and you can get it for free that way but buying it ensures it spawns when near an airport/helipad, you can leave it somewhere and know where it is on the map (free one disappears) and you can call it to use on certain missions which will save you money on ammo and time. If you do Rooftop Rumble as much as you say, buying the buzzard should be a priority (can't really use buzzard on RR but because you make so much money buying the buzzard is not a problem). Should you buy it now? Personally, yes but that's because I love that thing so much. If you want to be more logical than just basing your pick on my feelings for it, you should wait a bit for the non-dated DLC. How long will we have to wait, though, is the real question. By the time it does release, you will have made enough money to buy it anyway. Even if this DLC contains the hunter (attack helicopter from San Andreas), I can assure you many people will stick with the buzzard.

I'm not sure how much money you got, OP, but I'm currently 50K away from 2mill and I've been saving for a long time. I got no super car and I need one but currently waiting for this DLC to buy it (see if DLC has anything good). If I didn't have my buzzard and knew it was that good, I would of ignored buying the super and go straight for the buzzard, wasting all my money on it. Glad you're reasonable on waiting, though. If you don't buy it when the DLC comes, you should consider buying it in the future. I cannot stress how amazing the buzzard is. Having your own gives you a feeling a free one from the airport doesn't. It's like taking your dog out for a walk. It's your dog - not some dog, you know?

No point. When you get to a certain level (maybe the same level you can purchase the Buzzard?) they will spawn for you almost anywhere. The pad at the Merryweather dock is a 50/50 between the Buzzard and Cargobob every time.

 

Similarly, Luxors are always readily available so they're a waste of money -- as is every other non-seasonal airplane by default.

 

The only non-seasonal thing that really needs to be purchased is the Tank (maybe it's possible to steal one from FZ but it would be extremely troublesome).

I've seen other people say that, but that's not my experience at all. I rarely see a Buzzard spawn randomly - maybe 1 in 10 times. It's certainly not enough for me to not own one if I want to have access to it when I want to, without having to drive round the block 10 times.

 

I've often wondered if different people have different spawning formulas (if there is such a thing). I'd personally say if you want to have immediate access to anything in this game then you're better off buying it.

That's a very valid point. Between a muscle car and my Buzzard I've probably saved hours of my life whilst playing Trash Talk

You can get them in more than three locations, but you can never rely on it being there unless you own one.

Seriously. I do own some of the UPDATES' clothes, but apart from that, the only thing that is update-related that I bought was the Liberator or whatever its called.

In fairness, I don't think I actually do own anything from any of the updates. Maybe a few items of clothing, but I'm pretty sure that I'm wearing things I could wear when I first started playing and had just levelled up. My main weapons (AP, Combat MG, Auto Shotgun, Heavy Sniper, RPG and hand-held explosives) have all been available since day 1 (with enough rank), and none of my cars are from updates.

 

I have a lot of good stuff. There was already a ton of great stuff in the game before they introduced t-shirts with cats on them and firework launchers. Nothing that has been released so far has been anything more than a way to make gullible people buy sh*t with money they don't own in the hope that some of them will spend money that they do own, which they have.

 

Edit: Nope - I remembered the 1 thing I bought. A Grotti Turismo R. I'm just not sucked in by things that have nothing going for them other than being new.
