Banning Players

you said MILLIONS alright

you said that people who purposedly glitch should be banned

i assure you millions have purposedly glitched gtao

and if you don't know nor care to know what "beta testing" is then you have proved yourself too ignorant for the discussion you started.

of course we knew it all along

You assure that millions have purposefully glitched gtao. But why?

The answer is simply heres no risk in doing so or no reason not to.

If they had banned thousands of people back before christmas for glitching and exploiting I could almost guarantee the total number of players who have glitched or cheated would be nowhere near the millions.

The biggest problem is players a b c and d all glitch a few million dollars. Players e through t see players a b c and d on you tube or something and also see they get away with it constantly so then they do the same glitches as players a b c and d.

If players a b c and d got banned players e through t wouldn't even try.

As such if the number of players abusing exploits and glitches would be significantly lower.

It is kinda like Jaywalking. It is against the law in most cities here in the US, but it happens every minute of every day all over the country. It would be safer for people if they didn't do it, it would be profitable to the cities if they ticketed everyone that did. It is virtually impossible to enforce the law on everyone, The result is that only the flagrant violations that occur in front of the police or actively result in an accident even get noticed.

The 17th Ninja

They are. And it's easy for them thanks to players doing R*'s job.

https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/communities/public/questions/201670283-I-found-another-youtuber-posting-money-glitches-with-his-gamertag-

^^^People are snitching on other players just for posting comments with GT/PSN's on youtube. Its getting real GTA with the snitching and espionage. Maybe they should put the guy in the link in a LS Witness protection program.

I report God-mode people, but snitching on people for commenting on youtube is like arresting them BEFORE the crime is committed.

I to some extent feel that the OP does have a good point but maybe didn't get it across very well. The first thing to understand is that there are multiple tiers of the individuals causing the problem. You have the guy or gal who spent the time to figure out, find or code the glitch, exploit or mod. You have the associate of said person who has a popular youtube channel and then you have the masses who discover and use these things just because they are there.

I think the masses should be warned and ridiculed. The youtube channels should have someone at Rockstar searching for and soliciting youtube to have the vids removed. And the individuals that originate the discoveries should be banned (or invited into beta testing). The people modifying their consoles should be addressed in some way by Microsoft.

The thing that I think a lot of people fail to understand is that yes this is a game and it is a virtual currancy but once you tie a real value to that virtual currancy, i.e. cashcards, that makes it just as much theft as if you went to the local bank and found a hole in the back of the atm machine. I promise if you found a way to syphon off some bitcoins the authorities would be looking to find you for theft of a virtual currency. A game like second life has property rights, copywrite laws and actual legal actions taken for all manner of issues involving thier virtual money and imaginary items in a "video game" because the virtual currancy has an exchange rate for real currancy.

If you glitch cash in game you are literaly stealing something that has a real monetary value to the developer. I think it is sad that so many of our youth these days are morally willing to take that route.
