Why do you shoot people?

This is an honest question. I walk up to you (Probably not specifically you, but you get the idea), unarmed, and I even do the surrender motion, and you shoot the sh*t out of me. Why? Nobody really cares that much about the kill death ratio, I'm unarmed, I'm showing that I won't attack you... and you shoot the sh*t out of me. It takes no skill to kill me like this, I'm walking at a normal speed... and you shoot the sh*t out of me. Why?

The kind of bloodlust that exists in the human mind, yet cannot be expressed in real-life (Not legally anyway) so it expresses itself in a video game.

i hate that to like earlier i was driving and then i got sniped out of nowere and sometimes i want to hang out and meet people i get near them and theyll shoot me in the back. im a passive player and never attatck people unless they attack me and when im in the store and they kill me when i come out i get pissed. to many cowards in this game no guts to fight like a man.

Some people dont play games too often so don't see the depth of this game hence they got fun by simply killing people.

Sure you can do it in any fps but there's often a trending game for this kind of players to pick and just relieve the stress/whatever by mindlessly killing people.

 

It was once COD but people now moved to GTA because everybody's playing the game.

I guess if we had a title that had the impact of COD 4 or GTAV, then these kind of people would just move to an other game.

Pretty sure if watch_dogs had multiplayer like GTA, these people would have moved to WD

I would rather not shoot you in the face, but the odds that you will shoot me in the face are like 10 to 1 most of the time. It's like walking into the ghetto and expecting the group of gangbangers walking in your direction to offer you milk and cookies.

1. Because you're a horndog who thinks my female character is obligated to ride around in your car. No, you get shot instead.

 

2. Because I've gotten a bounty on purpose and set up inside a Posonby's, and will sticky bomb or auto shottie anyone who walks up to or through the doors.

Because you're yesterday's squeeker who tried to claim a bounty on me and got killed seven times, then thought you could ask me to not shoot you because you want to mooch my hiding place from the LSPD..a subway station. And when you didn't go into passive mode I didn't trust you, and you were surprised to get shot again.

I always shoot a non friend/crew member player when they come close to me, well this is GTA, don't trust anyone that you don't know, there's a big ass map to explore so why da f*ck does this moron keep following me if he is not a friend?

last 10 player kills me, they ALL come to me un-armed, then after a little ride on my car, they pull out their weapon and shot me, one even throw a sticky out and blow up my car.

Skydive, wingsuit over mountains, do sanchez backflips in the desert, race against people, do every stunts.

There's many other things to do beside fighting

I shoot mostly when shot at. I'm usually the second person to start shooting. The only time I'm usually the first is when someone pulls out a weapon. It is a game though, not meant to be taken seriously.

Here's an honest answer then - as per my amended sig, I will preemptively kill any player that comes anywhere near me.

 

There is absolutely nothing anyone can say that will make me react any other way, because in 10 months I have never once met a player in Pub FR that did not instantly attack me. If you make peaceful gestures, or even state peaceful intentions over the mic, I will assume that you are lying to get me to drop my guard so you can somehow kill me harder.

 

So I will shoot you dead and be gone from the session before you respawn. Rest assured, I have zero qualms about taking out your PV in the process (I play alone 99% of the time, so BS means nothing to me - plus I can count on one hand the number of PV's I've destroyed, so it's not like BS is looming on my horizon - and I'm a legit millionaire several times over, so $10K insurance bills don't even get my attention).

 

I'd like to congratulate the general GTA Online community for making me that way. I used to be like the OP, but you animals beat that out of me by the end of October. Now, I play alone, and if I happen to do a mission with randoms, I assume that at least one of them will try to deliberately fail the mission (assuming the host didn't spawn us on top of Mt Chiliad then immediately start running people over) so I pretty much play them as if I'm alone and use my teammates to soak up bullets and save me ammo.

 

Oh, and to the readers, just in case you think I don't mean you, I absolutely mean you. And you. And especially you, you POS.

 

TL;DR - because every player in Public FR is an unmitigated c*nt. Shooting first saves time.

Im with the OP, i dont go into passive so i can kill npcs or cops or rob stores, armoured trucks etc but i dont go looking to kill other players...i honestly dont even know what my K/D is lol. But i agree with a few of the other posters, send a text. If you get a reply then your probably safe... if you dont then prob best not to risk it.

Ya but you can do those in invite only or solo sessions...if you are playing in an open lobby with strangers, you are most likely to get shot(by one of the many weapons that this game provides you with for this reason...) Edited August 14, 2014 by godziller
