Is Rockstar in a no win situation

The modded money lobbies need to be fixed. People are predicting a money sweep coming too and the last time that happened, innocent people lost their money. With no 1.16 patch/DLC yet, and many people blaming it on modded money, everyone is getting restless. Obviously Rockstar is a business and despite what people believe, Shark Cards are very important to Rockstar because that's how they're making their money off of GTA V now. That's why it's very important to them to fix the money lobbies. The only thing is I feel Rockstar is in a no win situation because there will always be some sort of money glitch in the game. There are new money glitches after every update. If they hold out on DLC and heists, more people will be angry than the large amount of people who already are. What should Rockstar do?

Everyday has been about Modded Lobbies this, Money Sweep that, God Mode there. No Heists here. Hackers that. Ugh.

 

On topic, it's whatever at this point. They can reset people's money to $0. I don't care. I'll just move on to a new game or to GTAO on PC.

 

Or just play the game normally again, trying different missions besides Rooftop and earning slow but more meaningful money.

These "Stupid topics" are due to the fact there's nothing new in GTA to talk about, and this topic is about the reason why there's nothing new to talk about.

Look...even if Rockstar does care about 7th gen right now, that won't matter in the long run. Once everyone moves on to 8th their business will pick up again. Shark cards will still exist, and don't forget that they'll probably be making millions off of the sale of the game itself anyway.

 

 

Fact of the matter is, none of our complaints matter. It's how business works.

That's a neat idea, that should happen instead of money wipe. If they're going to wipe my money I'll be pissed, I have never been involved with exploiting or even modding or cheating, I've spent most of my time in private lobbies.

Last time they did a money wipe it didn't affect me at all, you know why, because I never glitched and I never cheated.

So I say they should go ahead and wipe, OK there is a slim chance the some legitimate people may get caught up in the sweep, but all they would have to do is raise a ticket with R* and get the money back.

yeah they are and they have nobody to blame but themselves for being so freaking incompetant.

Wall glitches notbeing fixed for over 6 months is a clear sign they dont give a sh*t at all. At the moment they only care about their pocket and its left a sour taste in most players mouths.
Money glitches being fixed within a week is the sort of attitude they should be applying to ALL GLITCHES including stupid pointless ones that dont offer any advantage to a player like the boots over pants glitch. Im not against those small glitches but they are not gods and they shouldnt decide whats allowed and whats not. If its allowd then fkn add it into the game.
Anyone caught trying to alter the code should be banned or cheater pool. This includes charles/ifruit workaround. I have done it myself but thats the thing. Nothing ever happens so I feel like I could do a hex save editor and no have to worry at all. People should think "If I cheat there is a BIG chance of consequences". As it is now cheat all you want and we wont give a flying f*ck.

All in all rockstar just nneed to get some integrity and clean up the mess they have made. Stick to their guns and start up the biggest ban wave console kings have ever seen. If I was banned I would be pissed but I understand thats what comes when you alter the coding etc.

Problem is R* will never do this. They dont have the balls to in hard. They just pussyfoot around and basically do nothing while an army of kids reports each other all while hiding their stats so people cant see they are cheaters too. In reality R* dont wanna lose any cash but by standing by idley watching they have lost more money than a hearty ban wave wouldve lost. All the players that actually like the franchise see this trash most days and think why do I bother.

They could abandon online completely, even for the "current gen" versions about to be released, and they would still be very well off. It's funny that people think online is something to get rich off of. Yes they make money, but they already made their money plus vellocet.

 

I also rarely run into glitching/hacking in this game. As much as any other game I play or have played. Maybe I'm just in a better region because the majority of people you get joined with are within a few hundred mile radius of wherever you may happen to live. Don't know why, I think it has something to do with the hosting service, i.e. xbl, psn.

Either your geography is off or you run in a private server, i live in the us and yet I run into people from New Zealand, United Kingdom and Australia more than I do from my own country.
