i got a deathmatch where you race a jet vs a coquette they both start at the top of the map and have to get to the maze tower. Tve coquette can just go straight to the maze tower bit the jet have to fly to the airport and pick up a dominator to drive to the maze tower.

yeah lol. the helmet is in there, but you cant wear helmets while you drive cars... sucks.

You can, actually. Go to Interaction Menu>Inventory>Accesories?>Helmet and switch through helmets you've purchased, then drive the car.

If you equip it in freemode before you join a race, I can guarantee you'll be wearing it

I always switch them out to match the bike or roleplay racing sometimes.

 

OT: I don't know what's the deal with the American version. It just isn't interesting.

i have enjoyed watching both since they started (excluding old original TG) and will still enjoy to watch both as long as i can, but compared to Top Gear UK they all fall short with the US as probibly the worst version i've seen. they are funny and entertaining for what they are, but just don't have that chemistry like the original. TG AUS is pretty damn good though, i'd put it right behind the UK version.

I bought the 2 first seasons of the US version on the Xbox because I loved the challenges. I only watch Top Gear UK for the challenges and how entertaining the hosts are (I sometimes watch "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" if I know the celebrity and I'll usually skip car reviews). I don't think the US hosts are comfortable being on camera. Like Clarkson can easily be made fun of by James and Hammond but then they'll quickly change the teams up by having Clarkson and May poke fun at Hammond and while it's clean British humor it's something that can make anyone laugh. It's that chemistry that people enjoy so much and how easy-going they are.

If the US Top Gear could keep the good challenges they've got going (cheap car challenges) and make the hosts more comfortable and swear on TV, it'd actually be good. Now when I say I love the challenges, I don't mean the UK one don't do good challenges. The UK specials and the cheap car challenges are, in my opinion, the best stuff the UK Top Gear does and if the US Top Gear keeps doing cheap car challenges but with American cars it would hold the show up as its own. Seriously, the US one has the personalities to it already:

Tanner Foust will always bring some sort of japanese car to the meet and will be ridiculed for making a bad choice. This guy is Richard Hammond (both are not typical American/British).

Rutledge Wood (big guy) will bring a car that James May would, in that type of style where no one would expect it but it's MAYBE a good choice. This guy is James May (slow and steady wins the race).

Adam Ferrara (the only funny guy - at some moments - on the show) will bring some old muscle car that's pure American and destroys his car in the end. This guy is Jeremy Clarkson (loves power and is a big baboon).

Honestly, it's got potential and I can see it going big if they drop the clean act and say, "screw the rules, let's blow sh*t up". I haven't watched Season 3 and onwards so I have no clue how the show is right now.
