Store robbery appreciation

Robbing stores with a team is awesome fun. Useing a Speedo Van (been looking for one legit for ages!) is great as two peeps can hang out the back with MGs. They payouts can be a little on the weak side, but as mentioned before, its about having fun in this great sandbox of a game.

A whole bunch of us from this forum get together every weekend to do some robberies and we always have a great time doing it.

its not the cash... its the fact that you cant buy sh*t with $2000. a turbo costs $50,000 in game! thats like the price of a shelby gt500. it should cost under $16,000 like in singleplayer.

Me and my friends used to set up store robbery's as if they were heists. Fun to see what we could come up with, the success rate wasn't high because we stuck to using carbine rifles and vans. (No explosives or anything stupid) We kind of RP'd them. More fun that way IMO

If I remember correctly that was part of the Military heist, we all got in at the end and did a dog fight over the airport. I have to say we have some VERY good jet pilots among us lol. This weekend we have 2 different sessions, both very cool. Should be fun.

 

When (if) mission creator comes out thats when gtao could really start to take off.

I robbed all 19 in one run once as I was trying to unlock the achievement for robbing all 20 stores, but I couldn't find the last one at the time, so I didn't get the achievement until a few days after. I have robbed stores a total of 217 times and only bother doing it now if I have no money and my mechanic needs paying.

 

I mostly do the holdups alone, but sometimes do them with friends and my getaway vehicle is whatever I'm driving at the time, I don't have a specific vehicle for holdups. As for the cashier, sometimes I kill him and sometimes I don't, it all depends on his choice of words when he reacts to the store being held up, if he is like "hey asshole!" he can expect his brain to meet x1 9mm round

How to you take off without dying? Doesn't taking off take too long so you get shot down? I've never tried it before, so i'm interested I land right at the front door, usually get airborne before any shots are fired

Shooting someone who just robbed a store and is making a break for it. Especially because they drop the bag of money they just stole and you can take it for yourself.

I only did the 25 needed for the plat award. Most were done in my Asea with a friend when we were newbs and it always took absolutely AGGESSS so lose the cops. I've never shot a shopkeeper, I always shot bottles and such to scare him and just took the cash.

-Usually do three stores in a row. After my third and final chase (which is usually a 3 or 4 star wanted level, making it much more difficult than the last two robberies), I call it good and deposit my profits into the bank.

-This has been my new store robbery vehicle lately (plan on using it for heists, too):



-Usually rob stores solo, unless I come across a friendly random who's up for it.

-223 stores robbed.

-Always want to keep the store owner alive so my wanted level doesn't escalate further, but if he pulls a gun then I'll usually give him one in the torso, knocking him back onto the floor behind his counter, which may or may not kill him.

Sounds like a plan, but I can't change masks while in chopper!

Taking off/putting on different glasses will remove a star, as well. I believe you can change eyewear while in a helicopter. Not sure about planes, though.

If you have a mask on when you get in you can take it off, but if you dont have one on you cant

And indeed, the owner allways says things like: we got camaras, just so you know. It's like they're allready expecting me to rob the store...

-how many stores in 1 run? Never really counted but my aim is to rob all stores using the same getaway vehicle without dying in a public free-aim free-roam, I'd guess i'm up to about 10.
-what getaway vehicle? if i'm on my own then whatever i'm driving at the time, with a partner then Sanchez is my vehicle of choice, nothing quite like hitting the alleys of Los Santos at full speed on a 4* police chase.
-alone or with friends, and how many? either/or, never more than two though.
- how many stores have you robbed in total (see social club) 321
-do you normally shoot the owner, or do you keep him alive? leave him be unless he draws a gun, try not to shoot whilst inside the shop at all, it seems to cut down the amount of have a go heroes who pull their guns outside the shop.

OT: I do it from time to time. Not really that much these days. Heck I made a full 83,000 from robbing the same three stores back in my days to buy an apartment.....Good ol' times.

How can you get in on robbing stores? Walk in, shoot the place up without killing the clerk, he puts the money in a bag, you take the bag, get the hell out. Pretty plain and simple...

 

... if you have to ask how to rob a store, you probably shouldn't try it. Or walk the streets of Los Santos at all.

I understand you! First garage was in the hood, had my sultan at that time, and 2 stores around it, every time i went out of my garage or befote i went in i robbed those 2 stores, with that money i upgraded my sultan.

Made a mistake, it was actually 19 as I remember not being able to find the final store as it wasn't on my map

i'm not really counting down myself waiting for heist, just playing the game and robbing stores, shooting cops, shooting online players. but i love to organize some really good crime sprees, just to make fun, and heists will make this a little better i guess. it probaly isn't going to be a big cool thing, but there should be something for everybody to enjoy ^^

 

and if it is robbing stores then we all can still have a lot of fun
