Yeah just shoot em. Worst case scenario you get 4 stars. Not being able to get away is a personal problem lol.

Not being able to survive the clerk shooting at you as you escape is just as much a "personal problem." But the absolute inescapable fact is, evading two wanted stars is faster then three wanted stars. One helicopter is faster to evade then two helicopters.(especially if your at the north end of the map without ready access to the subway or tunnels. There is zero advantage to shooting the clerk until it ceases to effect your wanted level.

Not sure if it really does make a difference, but I noticed the hold up meter fills up a lot faster if you stand close to the clerk.

My tactic:i run into the store, get my vintage pistol ready, keep yelling at him, when he has given you the money, you shoot one more time, not at him, but next to him, if he runs away then he doesn't have a gun, when he stays you have to keep pointing your gun at him when walking away or shoot him, because then he carries a gun.

 

But since a few weeks we do this for fun, not for the money, so i'll have around 8 guys covering the store when it's getting robbed

Also, wear a mask. If you rib the same place you've done before the guy will recognise you and shoot you, a mask solves this though.

 

I keep saying I will go around hit all the shops, but I never get round to it.

 

Another tip. May have already been mentioned, but shoot the magazine's etc around you to scare the guy and speed him up. I believe if you have a Mic you can also yell at him to scare him more..?

I always stand close to the clerk trying too cover both him and the door. Shoot some bottles to scare him. Then I pistolwhip him after he done with the cash so he wont shot me in the back while im heading out. This feels better then shooting him as I pretend he didnt die but only takes a 5 minute nap. It feels bad enough just robbing the same store over and over. Also my two favorite stores are close too my garage and I shop there alot also.

I usually go in all casual, might even buy a pack of cigarettes before the actual robbery (if I'm out of smokes) then suddenly "GIMME ALL YO f*ckING MONEY BITCH ASS MOTHERf*ckER SUCKER ASS PUNCHER MUNCHIES!!!!!!!!111", I'll keep the clerk on his toes and make sure he's not slacking around by shooting sh*t around his head. I love to see them shaking and twitching out of fear.... After I get the money I shoot them in the face a couple of times (sometimes in the throat) to make sure they're not around to tell the pigs how I look (leave no witnesses alive). Then it's all run run run like a transporter. I get this "Drive (you know, the movie)" feeling when the chases get real intensive, it's a great rush!

 

I usually go around robbing 4-6 stores in a row then I lay low for a while. After a while you'll start getting 4 stars on you the moment you kill the clerk, but I love those 4 star chases with 2 choppers, feds and all that sh*t!! To spice it up you might wanna drive with a sloppy car that has no bulletproof tires (most of the time I drive with an average car anyways, f*ck supercars) =)

This thread is for people who like robbing stores. it seems like there is no interest in robbing stores on gta V. some say because it's that they only pay 1000-2000 and when you get lucky you can get 4000.

but some people don't understand that it can also be fun, they different ways that you can rob a store yourself, or with your friends.

 

so i started this thread so people can tell their adventures with robbing stores.

thing like:

-how many stores in 1 run?

-what getaway vehicle?

-alone or with friends, and how many?

- how many stores have you robbed in total (see social club)

-do you normally shoot the owner, or do you keep him alive?

 

tell us your robbery stories, and what's your most common getaway vehicle?

i like doing them there fun and i usually do them when i just get in a game to warm up. my getaway car is my panto its fast and fun to drive. and i dont kill the guy only because you get 3 stars and i hate the helicopters. and i also shoot the second register alot of people dont know you can do that. i also love interiors and i like to roleplay in them. to bad there was not a walmart parody i would love to rob that.

infernus or zentorno parked close to the door (helps keep cops out), wait for the clerk to fill the bag while I blast every piece of merch behind him with the ap pistol, .00008 seconds after he drops the bag I shoot him in the face, chest, neck and shoulders. Grab the bag, into my car, directly to the next store. Next clerk eats sh*t the moment I step through the door, raid the register rinse and repeat until I'm dead. I usually get 6-10 stores done before I either don't want to drive north of the city or I die in a hail of gunfire.

its not the cash... its the fact that you cant buy sh*t with $2000. a turbo costs $50,000 in game! thats like the price of a shelby gt500. it should cost under $16,000 like in singleplayer.

I rob 'em all the time... and like you said, not so much for the cash, but for the thrill and the chases.

 

... although, every $$ adds up over time. Average $1500 x 334 (amount of stores I've held up) = $501,000

I went on a streak of Robbing stores last night, and between those and Lester's Kill Target, made a good 30k and had quite a bit of fun. Sure they pay out less than 2k at times, but hell, it adds up quick.

 

I personally love using my Sabre. blacked out, a loud flame spitting exhaust while drifting corners and running from the cops. Hella fun.

Robbing stores with a team is awesome fun. Useing a Speedo Van (been looking for one legit for ages!) is great as two peeps can hang out the back with MGs. They payouts can be a little on the weak side, but as mentioned before, its about having fun in this great sandbox of a game.

A whole bunch of us from this forum get together every weekend to do some robberies and we always have a great time doing it.

For the increasing, I'm not sure. Maybe do a job? But to make it a little easier...

 

Equip a mask before you rob the store, rob it, take off, bring up inventory while the chopper is starting up, go to masks, have it set on masks, so once they start "searching" for you, set it to none and you'll knock it down to 3 stars.
