Does anyone rob stores the correct way?

I already got the achievement for robbing all stores, so now I rarely do it...but when I do, I just go in, point gun, shoot bottles at the back to make him pick up the pace, grab the money and then keep pointing at him until I'm out to avoid any retaliate from him.

I guess that's the "correct way"?

Well, try to remember to not shoot the bottles when robbing with a C4 :p

I do and i don't do it alone. Either a accomplice(friend) or I rob while the other is the getaway driver and we take turns. I think the clerk is the only person in Los Santos that i don't shoot but i can't say the same thing for my accomplice as he gets a little trigger happy at times lol.

A more interesting hobby is to arrest/rob players who are doing robberies. Usually I pull up, step out, pull out my trusty pump action shotgun and just wait behind my car. When they come out I scream into my mic "LSPD, freeze you scumbag!" and of course they run like a little chicken and I put two rounds in them and take their money (its dropped and looks like the bag they take from the clerk), not even getting a wanted level. :)

So going in, paying for some items and then walking out isn't robbing a store? No wonder I had less money.

I stole a chocolate egg once from a shop in real life. Egg Thief Master Race :)

...only once. Honest.

I robbed stores when I was a noob because reasons. Now I only use them for snacks as I've learned those are more important than the petty cash/annoying wanted level you'll get from the stores.

I think more people would rob stores if they increased the reward ...and the risk.

I'd suggest:

- All 19 stores accrue cash - maybe $1000 every 6 game hours - up to a maximum of say $10,000

- When the store reaches maximum cash, the game generates an Armoured Truck to retrieve the cash and take it safely to a deposit, where it becomes untouchable.

- The player can rob the store (and however much cash it currently holds) or the Armoured Truck.

- If the store is robbed, its cash returns to $0.

Consequence of being caught.

- If the player is caught, they lose all stolen cash, plus a further cash penalty (bail money) Restart game at PD doors, as per SP. Do not get caught!

The game notifies when a store has been robbed, so that keen-eyed players can keep an eye on the Stores that are accruing the most cash through time.

Something like this - simple to program, yet logical - would make more people rob stores ...and in the right way!

Walking around a store shopping (which would insinuate you're not wearing a mask) is how stupid people rob stores, in real life anyway.

I live in a poor income area where the same store is robbed every fortnight and I've witnessed two in the past 5 years. You don't browse the store first and you don't not wear a mask. You burst in with a mask/face cover waving whatever weapon you have around.

EDIT: There is no proper way to rob stores in GTA 5. There is each players preferred way, and then the sh*t way.

Is this The Guy?

I just purchase my goods. No need for petty crime anymore, we off that.

1. Leave fast vehicle outside.

2. Go in.

2. Restock on supplies, politely paying the clerk

3. Pull gun on clerk

4. Shoot bottles to make the clerk hurry up

5. Take money and back out so clerk wont shoot you in the back

6. Profit

Nice double 2.

OT: Buy supplies, get out, put mask on, come back in, shoot supplies, get bag and hide somewhere else.

How I rob a store is:

1. Scope out all possible escape routes.

2. Map out area but adding notes of things, like tunnels and large hills, to a copy of the game map.

3. Set up route and plan of how to get in and out in a timely manner.

4. List all options that could be done.

5. Gather supplies, like vehicles and ammunition.

6. Practice escape route and look for possible ambush points.

7. Alter route if there are too many hazards.

8. Finalize plan and memorize it.

9. Follow through on robbery with as little casualties as possible in situation.

10. Split with everyone that was helping on job.

...Or just roll up in fast car, kill the clerk, grab the cash, and leave.

...only to have your master plan foiled by a player named CaptainMental who drives up in front of the store in his chromed out Adder with $-rims wielding a shotgun yelling "Freeze you scumbag!". ;)

Noooo! My plans have been foiled. You win this round.

EDIT: I just realize I have two police patches and another one that is from an organization that works with the DoD and Homeland Security in my sig. I should be yelling "Freeze" to myself as well.

Thats awesome man, maybe you should send R* this as a suggestion. They listen to their fans, they pretend they don't... but they do.

How I rob a store.

1) Stand at door, shoot the door. Clerk should run to closet. As soon as you shoot it, run in because it will lock if the door closes.

2) Run in and take the goods from the register and get the hell out of there.

Correct way is to rob it at knifepoint. After he gives you all the cash, I stab him to death.

I used to rob the proper way, shooting bottles etc, then got fed up of the cops chase for little reward and my vehicle getting impounded. Now I don't rob,but am constantly being abused by the shopkeeper,so depending on my mood ,I will Shotgun them,or stab them them with large knife.....
