Have you experienced mods?

Vote for the system you experienced them on. This will distinguish whether this is more of a PS3 security/architecture problem or not.

 

The majority of people complaining about mods seem to play on PS3. I haven't seen anything on the 360 and I've made it to level 90 (almost). Not saying it doesn't exist there, but let's get some numbers together.

A couple of days ago I was forced in this "surrender act" or what that is. Left the game immeadiatelly, also those meteorites have big wheels have appeared almost in every session I have been into.

PS3 here. I was on the sniper spot for the Mariachi Tornado when I was teleported to Legion Sqaure. Me and about 5 other players then fell through the ground. I just left the session.

How is that relevant? You would find a good estimate of the percentage of people that have witnessed modding on each system. Pointing out the odds of seeing modding instead of just polling those that have seen it only.

Yep, I ran over this guy to claim his bounty, he got pissed off and forced my PC to start walking from his car and most of the lobby. I knew within 5 seconds it was modding and just hopped sessions.

I have personally seen these on Xbox 360:

 

I had explosive ammunition for a few moments before switching sessions to avoid the guy who granted it to everyone within a certain radius.

 

One time someone was in my garage with a gun, he killed me, I respawned and reported him and then let the lobby know to report him as well.

 

One time someone used the creator glitch to spawn, a ramp in front of me while I was driving at top speed on the highway. This wouldn't have been so bad were it not for the wall he placed shortly thereafter.

 

Back in December, the wing of my forcefully ruined aircraft crushed someone JUST as they had a $50million (+/-) bounty placed in their head. He had meant it for someone else to claim but it just happened that as I jumped out to parachute to my apartment, the plane hit a building, the wings fall and kill a player, bounty claimed... he messaged me asking how I did it, I had no idea I had even claimed a bounty. By the time the notification was loading I was already in the load screen waiting to walk into my apartment. Rockstar adjusted my account with the first big money wipe.

 

I have no interest in glitches, mods, hacks, cheats etc. If you play on the PC and can modify the LOOK of the game, go for it. Marrowind looks as good as Skyrim with the right visual mods. Skyrim looks better than real life with the right visual mods. GTA 4 on PC looks far superior to 5 with the... you get the idea. Down with cheaters, long live the legit.

Usually when I spawn in the new session its just me. The only time it changed was a week ago.

 

I joined a new session with just me, so I stepped outside to smoke a cig. When I got back to my game I could see that two people where in my session. The weird part was that I was idle in an ammunition the whole time. They didn't do a thing to me and I had a bounty. Their respective levels where 87 and 130.

 

It still makes me wonder....

On Xbox

1st time encountered on Sunday thought was just someone in god mode but nobody else could see her she then started to build a fence around me I tried escaping and running her over but she just began throwing burger vans at me , it was very surreal a bit scary to be honest

I play on xbox and in the last 2 weeks or so I've seen 2 guys using god mode but have yet to see anyone "raping" other players or using any sort of mods except god mode.

I used to see people using god mode back around christmas when everybody had billions so I was dissapointed to see R* haven't got rid of it for good.

(ps3) Not seen any of the mod stuff but alot of people doing glitches. Alot of people saying it's mostly ps3 but pretty much every video i've seen has been xbox.

 

The people hosting money lobbies seems to have more attention on the xbox aswell. (at least on one of the main sites i know of)

OP please add a "No, I haven't experienced mods". I haven't experienced any this update or before, only during the first months of GTAO.
