Modded Money lobbies Ban Wave.

There are lobbies in the game containing modders who give money to players as you already know but now Rockstar, Microsoft and Sony are working together to ban the modders AND the players who got the money and haven't done anything wrong, so stay in invite only guys.

Little kids who think they are doing good report the GT's of those people who want to join a money lobby, not R*. They have no proof if they are going to participate, they can't ban people on intent in a game. As for the reports on twitter, they're probably DomIsLive fans who want to be unbanned... Yeah, because that's totally believable. Microsoft/Sony are only going to ban modders (lol), they aren't going to ban legit players on a whim.

They are getting banned for receiving vast sums of money, not because of the lobby itself. I'm amazed that people still think that there isn't auto-mated checks for money.

Right now, I'm avoiding public lobbies like the plague. I have a feeling that innocent players who unintentionally get modded money won't be let off the hook this time around.

Personally I don't care because I don't glitch, and I don't cheat. But just trying to disuade others from trying it, it's not big it's not clever, it will only lead you getting a ban.

So it takes you a few weeks longer to get that paint job for you sports car, LSC won't suddenly run out of paint, it will still be there next week.

Trying to take short cuts in life doesn't work either, so why should it in GTA.

Again, I'll just add that they aren't just checking random forums and banning people. It's to much work and anybody can post on a forum with somebodies ID.

I'll clear this up for you and anybody else reading this. It's not Sony or Microsoft doing the banning, It's Rockstar. It might be a little different on the 360, where the ban effects all services, I'm not entirely sure, but Rockstar can console ban you for 2 weeks or indefinitely on the PS3, you'll still be able to use PSN though just not GTA.

You're not getting banned for joining the modded lobbies you're getting banned because you're receiving large sums of money. $100,000,000 seems to be the tipping point, if you receive that much, expect a ban shortly after. Rockstar do have checks in place to stop things like this happening, and it's obviously working.

 

Edit: A little note, when the ban expires, you'll be left with $0, all of your money gets wiped.
