OnceAgainYoungFitzpatrick
I think this game looks awesome. I love the 90's slasher/b-movie feel to it. Sony is claiming this game will "reinvent horror". visionist
Cosmic Gypsy
Personally it looks to me like they've done the opposite of reinventing horror, guess we'll have to wait and see what the gameplay reveals.... If it's another dialogue/choice making/press triangle here game i might just kill myself straight away. OurJud
OnceAgainYoungFitzpatrick
This game seems to be getting better and better... Apparently there are over a thousand different endings and pretty much every action you do impacts the ending. From the article, "Supermassive has drafted some impressive talent, including Hollywood writers for the script, and actors Hayden Panettiere and Rami Malik for the voice acting and motion capture." Source - http://www.gamespot.com/articles/until-dawns-hollywood-infused-ps4-reboot-is-absolu/1100-6421731/ Only thing i don't like is no first person. It's a third person game I just feel like third person horror games are less scary and less immersive.
OnceAgainYoungFitzpatrick
24 minute gameplay. Fixed camera angles? Ugh. Everything else seems pretty good though. Hopefully the graphics will be a bit better though...

Real_Badgirl
I'm just not convinced on this. I LOVE horror games, but this one isn't a sell. I've seen the trailers and a couple gameplay videos. QTE/ interactive movie type games don't appeal to me at all, and all of the characters in this game seem like generic jocks and generic girl next door types. ArmoredxApple
Well this game has been out for a little while now, what does everyone think of it? I've been playing and while I'm not to far into it, I think it's great. I didn't hear anything about this game until i came across a trailer recently for it and decided to try it, so glad I did. All the characters are really well done and I love how the butterfly effect works, every single action you make will can change the whole story. Jvaz615
Love the game. Its nice to play a game that advertises that your choices matter and they deliver. The butterfly effect mechanic is extremely well done
Linerax
I read the whole plot and to me it is cheesy and mediocre. However, I do respect that Dr. Hill is the same guy who was in the Black Ops 2 trailer "The Replacer" and there are numerous possibilities instead of a linear story. Well i think the plot is cheesy to, but in the good 80's horror kinda way. I think that is what they were going for, and with that the game does deliver some good jumpscares and some pretty cool environments.

Johan
Always loved the gameplay from Heavy Rain, as well as Beyond so this game was automatically on my to-do list months ago.. sadly I haven't had time to even start the game up despite pre-ordering it weeks ago and probably won't for another few weeks thanks to Mad Max and MGSV coming out tonight. Also for those that don't want to pay $60 for a game "without gameplay", you can go to your local Redbox and rent it.
WWEMichaelB
I had so much fun with this game. Its the first game I've ever sat through the entire story without getting bored. It kept me on the edge of my feet, and had both great graphics and a great story. I will definitely be playing this again!
Absurdity
I read the whole plot and to me it is cheesy and mediocre. Well i think the plot is cheesy to, but in the good 80's horror kinda way. I really didn't expect to like the characters as much as I did. Super fun game, unless you're wearing a pacemaker.

CrysisAverted
Rented it for 3 bux at Redbox cuz noway I pay for a $60 film, was good fun with others and finished it completely decided to keep it another day to alternate endings. its pretty bullsh*t once you realize mike can't die until the end, I never shot at the wendigos and it just force changed my character eventually I completely regret testing that because my pet wolf died in the process Edited September 3, 2015 by CrysisAverted

Absurdity
It does look gorgeous. especially when you're venturing through terrain. it's not really something worth complaining about, the only thing that could be slightly better in terms of how the game looks is improving the lip sync issue, there are times when it just seems a little bit not quite right. Johan
Finally found the time to finally boot the game up tonight after it was sitting on my library for weeks, stopped about 3-4 hours into it and I'm really enjoying it. I can honestly say that I'll be going for the platinum which requires you to do multiple playthroughs.
Forty
This game is brilliant. It perfectly captures the cinematic feel it's going for, with unparalleled character animations and a story that gives you almost total control over the outcome. The environments are incredibly detailed complete with eerie lighting indoors and out. There are a handful of large areas in the game that you spend varying amounts of time in, and each is lovingly detailed with a "lived in", old feel to them that adds to the immersion. Sound is creepy enough with music fading and rising when appropriate, but never feeling artificially pumped in. Minimalism is the name of the game with Until Dawn. The controls are at times clunky due to the use of fixed cameras constantly changing the perspective and direction your character is walking in. This becomes less important once you realize all events happen with QTE and simple left-right decision making, but still worth mentioning. Story wise, the game succeeds in spades. By the end I had an understanding of each character's quirks (except Matt, who remains useless throughout), and there were more than a few "OHHHHHHHH sh*t!" moments as I made huge decisions that changed the game permanently. The first playthrough was about 8 hours for me partly because I'm an OCD explorer, though I somehow still missed several of the numerous collectibles. Subsequent runs will likely fall in the 4-5 hour range since I know what to do. On first run, I ended with 2 of the 8 characters alive. I fully intend to re-play for both the extreme outcomes (everyone alive or everyone dead) to get the achievements. I am not historically a horror game fan, but the idea of a choose-your-own-adventure game was intriguing and I was not at all disappointed. Verdict: Story: 5/5 Graphics: 5/5 Sound: 5/5 Controls: 3/5 Replayability: 5/5 Overall: 4.8/5 Disclaimer: There is no logical math attached to the overall rating. Mr. Scratch
I honestly didn't think much of it but having played it, it reminded me a lot of Alan Wake, which is no surprise seeing as this is also set in the wilderness of Washington. But atmosphere wise it felt very similar. I'd love a dlc for it, maybe one with THAT guy.
