Why are people so mad a Rockstar?

They talk a big game, wipe peoples money, stop letting us snipe tankers, stop punishing tankers who blow up PV's, Talk about their banhammer, hotfix money and RP exploits yet do nothing for godmode exploits, we had ufos and ferris wheels and anything else dropping from the sky, now we have players getting "gRAPED" or messed with in weird new ways...and of course no heists 9 months later.

I'm not mad with Rockstar at all. In fact I feel sorry for them as their reputation is being ruined by no fault of their own. The ones I am mad at are Take Two shareholders. They pushed for release almost a full year before Rockstar wanted to, rushed the development and is in charge of the cash card direction the game keeps sliding further and further into. They are milking GTAO until christmas when the current gen comes out and then they will do hiests and milk that for a year or less. My source says the old gen version has all but been abandoned already.

 

Blame the greedy shareholders for ruining this game not the guys actually doing the work.

I'm sure this isn't the last of Shark Cards we will see. They have been a great success for all involved.

The game's finished. They chopped into parts, then send out the missing pieces gradually to extend game life. If GTA Online had full content upon release, the game will be a graveyard now.

I still can't believe that SP is really crapped when story's finished. It's true that they're focusing too much on Online and make SP as if it's a long tutorial.

 

Nothing to do in SP. The only way to make money is to wait until one in-game week and gambling in stock market. No real job to do. Can't even perform Heist outside story to make money, although it's the spotlight of the game. Wtf Rockstar?

what could you do in vice city after completing? replay missions. no?

what could you do in san andreas and gta4? after completing

In Vice City there are things to do, such as collecting cars to unlock special vehicles in Sunshine Autos. In San Andreas? Well, you can rob houses etc.

 

Want more example? In LCS you could do missions such as Avenging Angels. In VCS you could take over businesses and run them.

 

And those were ten years ago. R* should be able to develop something more with that 5 years and extra 5 months.

 

So yeah. Don't tell me to go back to old GTA. Open your eyes, use your brains. No free candies from Rockstar for being a hardcore fanboy.

That never used to be the R* that i loved, and not even a patch for these glitches but still advertising the game like "Check out this epic stunt montage!" and promoting glitchers like DomIsLive. Even V disappointed me, got really boring after all was completed. The AI is horrendous, mountains bland, no interiors, stupid peds,etc. I can still have fun with GTA4 and SA up until this day. And the characters in older GTA games are way better than this boring trio of scumbag, FIB helping bitches. And you asskissers may say 'R* iz gnna release it az DLC!!!111 Stup h8ing!" Heres a question, with all the content in SA, was any of that DLC? No. Because SA was a finished product. Not a half cooked flapjack with batter oozing out. Thats GTAV in a nutcase. Why am I mad at R*?

 

They keep nerfing guns & the tank, and seemingly with each update comes a new glitch that no-life degenrates love to exploit just to grief other players.

 

It feels like they're treating us with disdain, the god mode and invicible cars glitches should've been patched ages ago, but they were quick enough to hotfix the car duping through killing a prostitute glitch, which then screwed over many players who bought (not duped) cars months ago as those cars can't be sold.

Slot 1 garage bug was also taking longer to patch than hooker glitch and other money making glitches.

 

Seriously, they never send a hotfix to troubleshoot bugs that's disturbing players or taking player's money, but when they can make a hotfix for a glitch that helps player to gain money just in a matter of hours or even minutes.

I've played the GTA series for 17 years now , Bully , Manhunt , RDR and midnight pretty much all of them and have always praised rockstar on there intuitive and innovative game mechanics and like everyone else over the coarse of nearly 20 years praised them for such. However GTA Online is the first time I have sat down and played a rock star game and actually thought of them not as game developers but as a business . My opinion on them changed drastically I think they looked at other games with pricey DLC and noticed how it seems to be acceptable to today's gamers . They make fun of over priced DLC in game but cash cards seem like rock stars way of milking more money . I used to play rockstar games and think " you know these guys know what there doing , I can tell from the level of detail and there own form of tongue in cheek comedy they really cared when making this game " . Now unfortunately I see a company , a big business , a corporation . I think they have lost what made them great I hope they realise soon real gamers don't consider games to be just casual time wasters but something they love since childhood in most cases and realise it's the fans that keep them going .

+1, I too have been seeing them more as just another business, though my opinion of them started to decline with GTA IV and later moreso with MP3 multi, but RDR was spot-on. They used to be well respected for doing things different, not caring what the rest of the industry is doing, it's not the case anymore unfortunately

Install SAMP and play online, in multiple lobbies, heck you had roleplay lobbies and all sorts, I used to like some of the role-play lobbies as it was rare to find godmodders etc, as the host 9 times out of 10 would drop a suspected godmodder from the sky, if they died, they can carry on as before, if they survived, kicked and banned.

 

Heck, it was a lot better controlled and maintained than GTA:O currently is..
