One of the reasons Xbox Live is better, For £40 a year you get a high security gaming experience while on the PS3 online is free in exchange for even the slightest bit of security.

You must be new around X360/Ps3... Modders were much much earlier on the X360 than Ps3 (in general, not just GTA V)

 

No I've had a 360 for a while but I've never been that interested in knowing every little thing about them. I just thought that with the fact that Xbox Live is £40 a year and PSN is free that Microsoft would provide a more secure online network plus with the whole PS3 server hacking thing it just makes PSN look even worse in terms of security.

 

Personally, I have never been affected by any problems with PSN *knocks on wood*, but I see where you're coming from. I have a X360 aswell and back when playing IV, it was overrun by modders before there was even the slightest sight of modders on Ps3. I have only seen one single god modder in V. I have not seen a single UFO, ferris wheels or meteor. Seems like it all comes down to the individual player. You can't really say that any of the system is secure and I doubt that the X360 is that much safer (being owned by MS and sh*t). But what do I know...

 

I guess it's just down to luck really then. One thing thats for sure is that there's probably a lot less of these modders in Free Aim lobbies so thats one place that I guess you could call safe.

 

Until all this stuff is patched or at least kept at bay I won't be playing, If R* are planning to do another money wipe I'm not becoming a poor victimised player just because some modders couldn't keep the obscene stuff in the Invite only sessions, I'm not taking any chances of playing and risking my legit $1.1million just because R* don't know who's money to wipe and who's not to.

Thank god my chat settings kicked in fast. I left that session and joined 5 others and I saw a total of 19 players at the garage for the god mode glitch. Is this really what GTA Online has become? Its getting to the point where glitching is just as bad as GTA 4, where everyone got an Annihilator and went under the map at the airport and camped at the helicopter spawns.

 

Also I'm in bad sport so this is to be expected. Oh well, I'll be out in 2 months 9 days if my timer doesn't reset again like always.

I was back in bad sport for 2 weeks almost a month ago, it's even worse there then regular lobbies. Most bad sport regulars I'm friends with hate it there now, so that should sum it up for you.

I agree, I do the majority of my killing in a deathmatch setting, unfortunately not many people play TDM in bad sport. But the point I was making was bad sport isn't the hardcore legit mode it was maybe 5-6 weeks ago, before the god mode sh*t infected everything. That's what I meant by everyone I know who has been a long time regular there hates it at the moment. The game is crumbling by the minute.

I'm not that up to date on 360 modding, but from what I remember reading you can just generate 7 day trials and access Online. If anything, it's worse on 360 since you have Chr0m3 x MoDz mod menu.

I think that the 360 modding scene is more focused on Call of Duty and more competitive type games which in my opinion is worse.

I used to be one of the people that didn't believe that all Rockstar cared about was $$$. I mean sure, I knew they wanted to get some when they released their cash cards but if you put yourself in their shoes you would be the same way.

 

I again understood fixing the most recent money glitches. Even as fast as they did it I understood. But, they don't seem to be working too fast on fixing the ridiculousness currently plaguing GTAO which only makes me believe one of two things. Either they have decided to not waste their time and money and focus on Next Gen or they are having a difficult time fixing the issues.

 

But, if they are actually trying I would personally love to see something. Even one sentence saying "We are trying to fix it" would be good enough for me. I'm not one of the many demanding gamers out there.

 

In my opinion I have gotten my $60 worth of gaming out of GTA5. Got it out of GTA4 too, but it took a few years for modders and hackers to ruin that game to the point of me not playing it anymore. If 5 doesn't get fixed soon, the morons will multiply, and I will only have had 11 months before it was ruined.

 

And yes, also in my opinion, forget blaming Sony. Microsoft, or even Rockstar, I blame the idiots with nothing better to do with their lives but to ruin a perfectly good game with their meaningless mods and hacks. Forget about what Rockstar may have intended, which seemed to be a continuous 24/7 deathmatch, which I think is a load of sh*t and missed opportunity for one of the biggest and best looking multiplayer games ever made. Are you serious? Hmmm....what sounds more fun? Playing in a lobby all by myself or with 15 other people? Sounds tough but I'll go with other people. With that logic you might as well just play single player. At least there is more to do.

 

I find free roam with randoms fun a lot of the time. I think it's a fun game of survival with all the red dots coming after me. Sure, if you wanna just drive around and explore without worrying about being killed (boring) then absolutely, go to an invite only. I also get it if you're in an active crew and you wanna mess around then by all means invite only.

 

But, if you're like me and prefer public lobbies then you must deal with the random dbags you will eventually encounter. But to say that we must deal with the modders and hackers is ridiculous. We as consumers should not have to put up with it. In fact since I feel there is a large number of people like me who prefer public lobbies, if this modding and hacking doesn't start getting fixed (the best that it can be) then those like me will move on.

 

And when the modders and hackers have no one to grief, every lobby will feel like an invite only. Have fun with that. Plain and simple. We should not HAVE to go into private lobbies because of modders and hackers. They should HAVE to be dealt with. They can go have their mods and hacks in the cheaters pool where they belong.

It seems like I coincidentally took a break at the perfect time, because when I last played the game about ten days ago most of these things, such as the godmode glitch, hadn't started yet. Now I've even more reason to wait until the next update, which is what I had planned anyway. Hopefully Rockstar will be able to fix these glitches, otherwise I might just take a break until the next-gen version and sell my PS3.

 

It's actually ideal to take a break for a couple of months and then returning in next-gen. The game will then feel like new and you most likely will enjoy it again for months on end.

Even though it sucks having to pay, I am sort of looking forward to swtiching over to PS4 , hopefully it wont be as bad.

I heard that PS4 will go through the Xbox route. You need to pay for Plus to be able to play online. Another reason I'm not gonna get a PS4.

There tons of hackers on Xbox also. Don't act like we get the majority of them, even though yes MP is free on the Playstation 3, you'll still see a lot of hackers on both systems. Besides, when PC comes out that's all what public lobbies in GTAO are gonna be, except with more carmageddon.

I have played since December 25 at 1:00 AM and has since never encountered a modder, just their breadcrumbs (f*cking ufos, ferris wheels, asteroids, car compactors).

 

Oh btw, the Xbox 360's disc tray is brittle as sh*t. I had one and it broke like 2 months before GTA V's release, cheap sh*t.
